We show up along with vendors and the manager told us we could not come in til 9am. She was very rude and not pleasant to have communication with. She did end up letting us in around 830 but the air was so thick with tension it was so uncomfortable for all of us setting up. It is not like it was a bunch of kids that were there. It was the birthday girl who was minding her own cause we knew they weren't open. She then asked if he could go play and we informed we don't want her to get yelled at so she would have to wait. The party was a success but it started out on the wrong foot and did not leave a good taste in the mouth. If you need a place to have a private party I WOULD NOT recommend this place.

They stamped my daughter's hand and gave us wrists bands. I'd prefer they give her a wrist band and write one of our numbers on the band. 2 hours max of play time. But they did not seem to really police this. Lots of different areas to plays even if different ages of kids. The slides were a hit but one of the slides doesn't slope as you land so watch your tailbone. Fun dress up area and grocery store with pretend food to play with. Two things were broke. A carousel and then a ball launcher. Snacks and food are available. A birthday party was going on and the room was pretty small. Place seemed pretty clean. Staff weren't overly friendly. They stood behind the counter mostly. No staff were in the play area to monitor. One little boy got lost/couldn't find his parent, a patron helped him find his dad. Would come again for sure!

My friend's kiddo was a good age, around 3/4 to get what she was doing and appreciate it. Made reservations online since the website said it was recommended. I'm glad I did! Making reservations was very simple, didn't have to put any money down. Parking can be a little congested since it's in a plaza with other places. Walked in and was immediately greeted. Inside is really cool. The theme is all black and white, looks kind of like a cartoonish vibe, and then all of the crafts speak for themselves with colors! There was a birthday party going on in the back. No private rooms for birthday parties. They use different color cones to show your reservation and where you'll be sitting. Was told to look around the store and decide which type of craft we wanted to do. They had a lot of mediums: candles, bead bracelets, painting, mosaics, and decorating different objects with whipped cream gel and adding charms. The last one was definitely the most popular and most unique. Once you pick out your items, you go to the cashier and can either pay ahead of time or wait to pay in case you want to create something more than what you expected. We were told once we pick what we wanted to let staff know and they will tell us next steps. My daughter went with a small brush and we were then given a tray to pick out the charms that we wanted to decorate our brush. There were so many charms! All of them were included in the price but a few were only allowed to use one time once since it was a bigger charm. We were told to only pick out a few charms and can come back for more. Staff said whatever we don't use charm wise, to be sure to put it back where you got it. Unfortunately, there was so many charms, and with how busy and chaotic it was, it was really hard to put them all back. I would definitely recommend only grabbing so many. We were told you get to pick two different whipped cream gel colors. The gel when dry turns into a silicone like texture. When we were done picking our charms and gel, to let them know and they would come back to tell us how to apply and use the whipped cream gels. Unfortunately, two big parties came in and staff had no time for us anymore. We were pretty much on our own. Just winging it, which was a shame when you're spending $25 on a tiny little hairbrush to decorate and have no idea what you're doing. I think it would be better of staff to all at once just tell you what to do along with a demo how it all works rather than constantly having different touch points throughout. My friend and I winged it as much as we could. I definitely don't think we did it right. I noticed a sign that had different pipping tips for the whipped cream gel, again, a bummer we weren't told about this. The charms and beads are all along the wall and right up against the walkway and tables. So it was pretty difficult for people to try to spend time to look at all the charms, but also letting people by and also people are trying to sit in their chairs. Staff then came over and was great with apologizing for us falling to the wayside due to understaffing and the immense parties that came in. Kelly was very sweet and kind and took her time with us and taught us how to reapply the charms if we wanted to. Along with how to use the whipped cream gel. You then have to take a heat gun and dry your creation for about two minutes, but the longer you do it the better it seemed. Be sure to let your creation sit for 24-48 days to really cure. There is a bathroom that single stall in the back. We were bummed that the Photo Booth machine was down, otherwise we would've used it. When you cash out, you're supposed to turn in the receipt to show what you made. Kelly then put our items in a bag and again apologized for our experience and said coming on the weekday is a much better visit. Our reservations were at four, and we didn't think that it would be so busy, so use caution if booking on the weekends. A very cool unique craft place, that I'm sure can sustain itself with the area that it's in. We'll have to come back on a quieter day to really enjoy all that they have to offer. I would've given a 3 star, but if it wasn't for Kelly, taking the extra time with us and apologizing for our initial experience. She made the whole trip much better!

I went yesterday for a friend's birthday party and it was a lot of fun. It was easy to sign up and pay online beforehand ($40). I didn't know what we would be creating until we arrived - I'm not sure if my friend chose that, or PWAT chose for her. I think our instructor's name was Rachel, and she was very good. I'm not really good at painting, my painting came out okay overall IMO though. You're allowed to bring drinks and food, I think my friend and some of the other attendees brought some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and some snacks. The class is two hours long and you'll leave with a nice painting of your own creation. They also had a contest mid-class where we could guess the number of wine corks in a big bottle, and I was the winner! (I was only four off - I won't tell you the # though because I think they do this every class) Because of that, I was able to choose a painting from the wall, and I really love the one I chose. I believe these paintings are done by instructors. Overall I'd come back here again although it's a little bit of an expensive habit if you go often ($40 each time).

She texted me the link she used to buy her tickets. I clicked it and somehow it directed me to Atlanta instead which I did not know that! I'll own that I should have looked more closely....I checked the number of adults, children, total cost, etc., but never thought to double check the city. I didn't realize the mistake until the Detroit staff couldn't find my name in their system. I was embarrassed and starting to panic, but Jennifer, the general manager, immediately helped me. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and never made me feel silly (which I totally felt inside). She even shared that this had happened to someone else recently, so whoever manages the IT side of things might want to look into this. Jennifer pulled out her phone and texted the GM in Atlanta to help me get a refund! Within minutes, I had my refund, was able to repurchase tickets for Detroit, and got in with my group! That was above and beyond!!!! She then helped me with a locker...as if she didn't already do enough The museum was clean, fun, and such a great experience overall.
