They go several times a week for golf, social gatherings, workouts, and meals. Being members at Knollwood has brought a lot of joy to my parents, so I'm giving it 5 stars for that alone. In addition to bringing joy to my parents, Knollwood is a wonderful destination for when the kids come home. On a recent trip, we enjoyed Sunday brunch at Knollwood with my parents and grandfather. I opted to use the workout room while my sister and bf golfed with my parents later that day... and we actually ended up having dinner that night there also. (BBQ night - we couldn't pass that up!) All of the people that work at Knollwood are extremely friendly from the Valet to the locker room attendant. I still get a kick out of the fact that everyone there knows my parents by name. I guess that's what the big bucks are for! In all seriousness, Knollwood is a wonderful place and definitely worthy of 5 stars!

After weeks of hearing zero responses from her, I messaged her again asking for a refund. She never responded, BUT she did block me. I spent $140 on 4 gift certificates as my kids big Christmas gift. My family and I were very much looking forward to a great experience, but she stole that from us. She also literally stole Christmas from my kids AND many other kids. I have contacted the BBB, the michigan attorney, and the news. I hope this woman is prosecuted for stealing, and I hope no other families have her do this to them. She and her family should be ashamed of themselves.

Great historic place dating back to 1902. The club is private as well as the lake itself - only those who live on the lake or club members are allowed to use the lake. Service was impeccable from the valet, coat-check, and wait staff. Handful of rooms you could dine in but we dined in the Members Grill. The Members Grill was comfortable and cozy. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we were happy and had what we needed. The food was excellent. Do yourself a favor and get the coconut shrimp with plum sauce. Best coconut shrimp I have ever had. Huge shrimp with light breading and sweet coconut. My husband got the leg of lamb and I got the pork medallions. Everything was cooked perfectly and so tender. Dessert was also a treat and we indulged in gelato made in-house. Lots of entree and dessert options - so you cannot go wrong! The place is a gem and if you are lucky enough to visit then you will not be disappointed.

Staff is friendly. Had valet service. The drive up to the place is GORGEOUS. The area reminds me very much of old money long island (think Roslyn, NY). We had a 3 course meal at our event. The table setting was beautiful. The plates and cutlery were pretty as well. Bread starter was tasty-- it was fresh out of the oven still steaming! Whipped butter was ok, though I prefer actual butter. The salad was a little simple for a place like this. The mains were DELICIOUS. Steak was cooked perfectly and salmon was moist and flavorful. The dessert was very simple-- brownie as chewy, cookie was thick and chewy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle. It was a simple dessert not requiring advanced pastry chef skills--Still good tho!! Staff was very attentive. I'm not country club material--don't golf, and also not of that sort of society but would definitely consider this venue if I were to get married again.

The main road entrance starts with a welcome sign to Pine Knob Golf Course. The winding road will lead you pass the greens with golfers, then several expensive residential homes. There are two venue banquet buildings called The Carriage and this one called The Pine Knob Mansion. Both have valet parking service at their entrance doors. My photos attached will show how wonderful this place was from start to finish. The ceremony was outside in the Garden Gazebo area overlooking the ski lifts and property of Pine Knob with fold up chairs on the grass area. This venue can accommodate all seasons of the year for many memorable and personal events. The outdoor brick patio was large enough for both cocktail hour after ceremony and again in the evening with a DJ for music and dancing. The Bride and Groom performed their special dances together on it plus with their parents. The wedding and party time continued till midnight! The efficient servers were very attentive when eating the plated sit-down dinner. They also served refill of waters quickly too. The Formal banquet room was very elegant with Chiavari Chairs, along with great lighting. Check out my attached photos of Jess and Phil's special and lovely wedding which expresses it all! The Food was Fantastic and Oh My Deeeelicious along with Great plate presentation! This location can be found on The Knot and has different price packages based on your event for food and desserts. My Friends Phi and Jess opted to bring in their own seasonal desserts with cider and donuts along with mini parfait desserts for that special Fall Style Theme.
