I have done over 30 plays at Starlight and I love it! The people are AMAZING there! They are helpful and kind! There is nothing I would want to change about this theater! It's my second home! Come see a play sometime!! read more

I've attended several musicals and other 'straight' shows at the Starlight over the years (only at their old location) but can attest to the quality and talent of the group of actors that regularly perform there. 'The Producers' was my second favorite, right after 'Cats'. Sometimes they run specials, be on the lookout for those, but even full price is pretty affordable. read more

Our first show was Evil Dead. That show was too funny. I literally lol. We love the youth theater productions. They do an awesome job directing. The performances are always fun and entertaining watch. There is a lot of talent here and it is showcased well. This is a community nonprofit theater and is run mostly on volunteers. The building sits back off the road (behind the credit union) and is difficult to see. The sign out by the road could be missed if you're not looking for it. hut... It Is Worth the extra step to seek it out. read more

I really enjoyed Much Ado About Nothing. The cast did a great job.

My husband and I held our wedding ceremony here on October 1, recreating our first date, when we saw Avenue Q here in March of 2012. Tom and Bonnie were very accommodating. We were planning from out of state, which can be a very frustrating experience, but this was our dream for a Michigan wedding. It took a very long time to get an initial response to my inquiry about the space, but after that, everything went very well. We were able to write our own contract with Starlight, which allowed a couple walk-through times, set-up and rehearsal the day before the wedding, and a long period where we had the space the day of the ceremony. Tom was kind enough to run our sound and lights, since the people we had asked to help out had to bail last-minute. We went with a bare-bones stage, though we were welcome to about any props and sets we wanted to use. We were able to move the seating around a bit to create an aisle, and we used the concession bar in the lobby to set up a champagne and sparkling juice toast directly following the ceremony. The only complaints I had were the long response time for setting up the use of the venue (seriously, several months from first contact, after using email, voicemail, and facebook messaging), and the teeny tiny parking lot, though spaces were available nearby. It was a perfect, perfect day, and Starlight had a big hand in that. Thank you so much for contributing to our wedding! read more

The Starlight Theater is an intimate venue to see a performance, but it has sound quality issues that erode the overall experience. I saw American Idiot the Musical at this theater, and most of the microphones were either too low or too distorted to understand what the cast was singing. Fortunately, I know every word to the Green Day album and could easily follow along. However, many other people in the audience were unable to keep up with the storyline because of this issue. The actors were very high energy and a few of them had amazing voices. If the sound quality had been better, I'd have no problem giving this venue five stars. read more

My daughter loves this place. She did her first play with them recently and the put on a wonderful show. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for some fun. I'm looking forward to the next play. The talent they pull out of these kids is awesome. I almost want to sing myself up. Lol. read more
