Although double check with the staff regarding the quality, as they know which games are a better buy. They also have a lot of original Japanese versions of games. Check those out too! I was here for N64 games. I found a few I wanted! For some reason N64 seems to not be as popular as other game systems. Maybe cuz it's bulky? Not as many N64 games here as there were for the other ones. Staff was helpful! They did a great job making sure you could find what you needed. They seem to have regulars here. Very cool! As you might expect, it was pricey, and no one mentioned it might not be what I wanted. When I realized, well, now it's opened, so would you like $9 back on your $90 purchase? I wouldn't call it a "scam" but I wish their staff was more forthcoming about selling games from another region. If you know to check everything closely before buying, this seems like a nice shop, but if you're less of an expert, you might want to shop somewhere with better buyer protection.

I went in to find two games that were unpopular and one game that was semi- popular at the time. I was able to get a hold of the semi-popular game and I was surprised that they had it in stock, simply because the store had a limited number of available games. On top of the disappointment of not being able to find all of the games I came for, the service was terribly slow. There was one employee helping at least eight customers. I was at the front of the line and it took him about 20 minutes to get the game and "prepare" it for purchase. I feel like if you are going to shop at Game Headz you should call ahead, see if they have the game you want, and ask them to prepare it for you ahead of time. -TRQ

The store felt friendly and welcoming, and the staff were patient while checking everything out. They explained that they don't refurbish items, only resell, so because one of the controllers had a sticky button and a worn joystick pad, they couldn't accept the consoles. It made sense, and they were clear about it. Even though we didn't end up selling, they were still helpful and took the time to guide us, which I appreciated. Overall, still a positive experience.

this place is incredible! i used to go to their original location in chesterfield regularly when i…read morelived in the area, but hadn't been in a long while until i went a month or so ago. in truth, this place is much more enjoyable than the one at premier lanes. the ambiance is better, the number of games is greater, and the quality of everything seems a little more maintained. $22 gets you an all-day wristband, and you can come and go as you please. if you're just thirsty or want a small snack, they have a small counter where you can get water for $1, pop or chips for about $2, candy for $3... really almost-too-fair pricing from a business in 2025, and it's refreshing to see. there's no alcohol which could be a bummer for some, but i just think of it as more money saved, personally. i normally like to plant myself firmly in front of newer machines when i see them (currently this location has Elvira, Rush, Foo Fighters, and 007), but there are so many great older machines to get a few plays on as well: Cactus Canyon, Dracula, Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, and Taxi are just a few of my favorites. as i already mentioned, they have other non-pinball games including bubble hockey (damn, i love bubble hockey), shuffle bowling, skee ball, and a slew of arcade cabinets throughout. there's guaranteed to be something that'll grab your attention -- in truth, there'll be many things that will. and, whenever you have an issue with a game, there are always a couple super friendly people on site to help you out. TIP: enter up the stairs near JC Penney on the John R. side of the mall for quick entry to the arcade. tl;dr: go. this is a gem at oakland mall. it does everything the chesterfield sparks location does, but better.
