Had an amazing time today! Started with the rage room and finished with the mystic jungle escape room. The rage room was fun! We were even able to add a printer for $40 due to a special going on. The staff were super informational and helpful. And for the first time I escaped an escape room, it took about an hour and I did use the 3 clues we were allotted (2 people). Staff even came in to assist when the drawer needed us to open it when we finished the prompt. I will definitely return to this location for escape & rage rooms. read more

This is my favorite escape room Venue in Metro Detroit. The escape rooms are fun and challenging but solvable. The staff always make the experience great! Most recently, we came here for my sons birthday party. while we were waiting, we decided to try axe throwing. Shout out to Q for showing us how it's done.. And a special thumbs up and thank you to Chase for making our first axe throwing experience awesome! She was super nice, accommodating and played truly excellent music for us! Took a team here for a weekend adventure. We got into the "easy" room which really didn't seem all that easy but perhaps there were too many cooks in the kitchen. And we may have gotten a little too disorganized... The upside is - we had a great time! It was a lot of fun. Management was nice, amusing, and helped us with some clues. I definitely recommend this spot for a group that likes puzzle- beware though if your group gets too big though it may make it more challenging. read more

Enjoyed the Mystical Forest. Great for intergenerational groups. We had tweens, teen, middle-aged, and senior citizen in our party and everyone was able to contribute. There are only two small lanterns, so I'd recommend bringing an extra small flashlight, especially if your vision is starting to deteriorate, or you have people who may disappear with the lanterns. The small numbers or letters on the locks can be difficult to read. read more

I went to the rage room with my dad and we bought the extra items (such as 2 keyboards 1 small and 1 big TV) totally worth the purchase. It was so much fun listening to the songs we picked and while braking keyboards and TV's. My only concern is how small the room was. Other than that I had the best time of my life. read more

Honestly, I miss laser warp. Though it's awesome having an escape room really close by. I've always wanted to do another escape room. Bonus, a newer and closer place. They have the hulk smash thing which I just heard of. The only location in Michigan so far! So if you've been wanting to do that, here's your chance. I believe what we did was reserve the room or something. It was $30 a person. Which is pricier than another place I went to. This place is decked out though! They have some arcade games and giant Jenga. Really cool place to hang around. The one we did was really hard! This is my second time doing an escape room so compared to the first one, this was difficult. We had a big group too, while the first time, it was only the four of us. I have done several escape rooms in the area, and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. When I went into this Madison heights location I wasn't expecting a lot. But to my surprise, in a pleasant one too. We were graded with smiles and professionalism. They asked us what our experience with escape rooms had been. Went through a lot of options that they had. And they have several options. And offered us The room that was appropriate for our skill level. The room was excellent, they were great clues, awesome gadgets and hidden rooms, great fun for all of us. I will definitely go back, this was probably one of the best escape rooms in the area. If you have not done an escape room, or if you have done several escape rooms, you need to come check this place out. They have many times you can choose from they are expanding at this location, they have a hunted house in September and October that is rated 20th in the nation. My girlfriend and I came here for a little date night and we originally planned to just do the rage room. Which i 10/10 would recommend and do again. We then had so much fun in the rage room that we decided to do the Mummy's Revenge escape room. Tony was our guide for both. He was so fun and pretty hilarious, if we got a little jumpscare you could hear him laughing through the walkie-talkie they give you. They also have a couple arcade games to play while your waiting. We did the forest escape room which was so fun! We also did the ax throwing! You can change the images if you want. The rooms are top-notch, filled with interesting and unique puzzles. The themes are fully created, making the entire hour feel completely immersed. Beyond that, the lobby is the most welcoming and engaging waiting room for an escape room I've ever seen, complete with Nic Cage sequin pillow. Some escape rooms have a Rubik's cube and Connect Four, which is nice, but Escape Room Zone has some custom puzzles you can try your hand at while you're waiting (or after you're done if you haven't had enough). The staff was incredibly friendly and diligent with clues. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Escape Room Zone and all of their locations. read more

Our first time here was pretty good. We did their jungle themed room. There were some cool puzzles and we had a good time. We came for our second visit and can say it was the worst escape room experience we have had. The staff isn't very attentive, both times there has been no one at the desk when we arrive and we've waited around awkwardly. They're friendly, though. For our second visit, we did the mummy themed room with a group of 4 people. When we were arrived, we were told they still had to reset it, but would be done quickly. I don't know if they rushed and things were missed, or if some parts of the room just don't make sense. First warning about this room: There's no lighting. You aren't given flashlights or anything. We ended up using our cell phone lights. If we hadn't, we would have never been able to read anything and complete the room. The room is full of distracting, irrelevant items and painting on the walls that leads you to believe it means something to the game but does not. When we got to one of the first puzzles, we needed to write things down. We had a board, but no marker. We called on the walkie-talkie and they brought us one. That was a little annoying, but was fine. Mistakes happen. There were puzzles that were broken, but were still in the game, so we wasted time expecting something to happen when we completed them, but nothing did. One of the final puzzles had writing involved, and it was too worn to see. We ended up making guesses. Then, when we had the correct combination on the lock, it still did not open. Two team members tried. After we had basically given up and asked for the combination, we were told what we already had. Shook the lock around some more and it opened. Some of the clues just didn't make sense to any of us. We have all done a lot of escape rooms, and none of us could see how the answer would have been found. At one point, we got stuck and called for a clue. We called 4 or 5 times without being answered. We were stuck for about 10 minutes (which we knew by checking our phones, there is no timer in the room). There are some portions that we still can't figure out how we were expected to arrive at the answer, leading us to believe that items may have been missing. For example, there was a hidden box that contained some sand. We are not sure what should have been there, but can assume it would have been helpful. Overall, we opened a bunch of locks. That's what 90% of it was. At the end of the game, we came out to an empty desk, and waited again. We mentioned some of the issues, and the staff didn't seem too concerned. Gave us the standard, "We will look into it." We also didn't get a picture, which is out of the norm for this location. We were very disappointed and really aren't sure if we will be back, which is unfortunate because their secret agent room is one we had planned to try. But if we can't count on things working or being set up right, it's hard to want to go here with so many other locations available. Our friends have done several more rooms at this location and told us it is "hit or miss" and that about half of their experiences were negative. When we spend $30/person for an hour long activity, we expect a lot better than what we got. read more

Never have done an escape room before but I will say this was so much fun. My friend, her boyfriend, and I did ''Down the Rabbit Hole''. You are given 60min to figure out the puzzles and escape. It took us 40ish min to do it! This was labled as a beginners room however it seemed perfect for our age level! Will for sure be coming back. (Also am going to check out the rage room, because who doesn't to smash objects and not in trouble ;-) ) read more

Well i went there with my friends today 08/04/18. We were greeted by attendant staff and they were friendly as well. I was going in expecting just a room with clues for getting out. But what i got was 3 rooms with pretty difficult puzzles (but fair). The rooms looked awesome at atmospheric to the challenge you were trying to do. We did "Dracula's Lair" which is considered a beginner room and we almost got out but not quite there. We were given three clues and they helped immensely. Would honestly go back there again and try another one of those rooms or the rage room. This was my first escape room experience and i got to say i had more fun than i have had in a long time. read more

It was my girlfriend and I's first time doing an escape room, and far exceeded our expectations. We walk into the room and are greeted very nicely and were asked if we needed to use the restroom before we started. We attempted to complete the Secret Agent: 313 mission. It was very difficult and probably not the best idea for my girlfriend and I to do for the first time, however, we still had fun! After we failed to complete the room, the attendant walked us through what we did wrong, what we could have done better, and asked us if we wanted to know the solution. Would recommend to friends and we will definitely be back soon to try some of the other rooms. read more

Went with family for a birthday outing and did "Down the Rabbit Hole". Was interesting and involved problem solving and a lot of patience. It was extra challenging because one of the locks was already unlocked which meant we got out of order and there was also a smash room in the same facility right next to the escape room and there was very loud music and smashing which made it difficult to talk through puzzles with our family. Also one of the puzzles didn't work correctly so they had to come in and help us solve that puzzle. read more

This was my first time to the Madison Heights location, having previously done an escape room at the Chesterfield location, which was great. I had wanted to try the Down the Rabbit Hole room, and was happy to find it was open and that it was listed as Beginner on the website. Overall, the escape room was good, but there are a few things that should be looked at by staff. First, is that the room is listed on the website as beginner. I was told by one of the staff members that this was definitely not beginner, but is intermediate. That needs to be changed on the site. Second, the Chesterfield location staff are definitely more thorough with their explanations of how escape rooms work (I had first time players with me) than Madison Heights. Lastly, I won't give away any of the aspects of the game or the room, but there are electronic aspects that need to be fixed. I'm not sure if all staff members have played "Simon" before, but if they have not, they might want to brush up. Any escape room attendees who have played Simon before realize what is wrong with the game. Also, we were told that aspects of the room were still being set up, like the TV screen that shows you how much time you have left. The staff member who introduced us to the room gave us a stop watch that he set with 60 minutes, however the watch didn't work and it only showed 0:00, so we couldn't quickly know how much time we had left. All in all, I think if the bugs are worked out on this room, it could much better. It has the potential to be a really fun room. read more
