We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Game Show Battle Rooms! Make sure to plan in advance because slots get snapped up quickly - they are very popular! There are 2 styles to choose from and we opted for Primetime which ended up being a family feud type game, match game, and minute-to-win-it type games. All of them were really fun, with great prompts and I guess they come up with new content every 2 months so you can return and not worry about repeat play. Our host was Scott was joined by MC Pinky, and they were really great - we had 2 kids in our group so they were nice, funny and had good energy all while keeping it inclusive and appropriate. You have to book for at least 8 people or more and we only had 7 but it wasn't an issue to play that way, we just had to pay for the 8. It was around $42 each (without optional tip), and there's a bar in the lobby if you want to purchase drinks or food. My whole family had a blast and I think we'll definitely be back! read more

We were hosting family from out of town and heard this was a fun experience for a group and we were not disappointed! Upon arrival you fill out an electronic waiver and can order a drink from the bar. Once your group is checked in, you divide into teams and they hand out name tags and explain how it works. Once in the game room, time flies! We did three different game styles and all were a hit! The hosts Terron and Vegas were friendly, good at keeping the energy up and provided a great experience for our group! They made the experience even better and were great with our group! I knew it sounded fun but it was a great time and I definitely want to come back with another group! If you go: the entrance is off a corridor pass through hallway that connects the parking garage to the main strip of restaurants in front. Parking will be easier and more plentiful in the garage so I suggest parking there. read more

I had a really great time here. I would most definitely come back and I highly recommend you to check it out as well. The more hype your crew is the "fun-er" the experience. You are the studio audience so you have to hype your team up and cheer along. You play a few different games just like the ones you watched with your mom on TV when you were homesick from school. The big wheel does not need to be spun that fast. Take it easy. It takes a minute to stop if you push too hard. They don't serve food. However, it's located in a plaza where there are plenty of restaurants to dine in before or after you come. There is a nice, large waiting area where you can buy drinks when arrive or before you leave. They just explain how it all work before you enter the room and you're divided into 2 teams. You have a host and another person who helps with the games/computer stuff... Get here sooner than soon. You'll love it, especially if you have an outgoing personality. If you prefer you can sit int the back and be a quiet supporter. I believe everyone in your party has to pay to get into the room though . read more

I really wanted to like this place. I was considering bringing a group of 25 people here for a 50th birthday celebration, so I called to get some basic information. Unfortunately, the phone call pretty much made the decision for me. I asked, "How does it work?" and the guy on the phone seemed genuinely confused by the question. I eventually had to spell out what I meant: pricing, group size, how long the experience lasts, booking, food, alcohol, whether outside food is allowed, etc. These seem like pretty standard questions from someone considering spending a significant amount of money at your business. Then came the pricing: $40 per person for one hour. For our group of 25, that's $1,000 for an hour of the game-show experience. At that price point, I would expect the person answering the phone to be friendly, enthusiastic and able to explain the experience without making a potential customer feel like they're bothering him. But the part that really got me: you can't even bring a birthday cake! I was told previous groups had gotten too messy with them. Seriously? We're potentially spending $1,000 to celebrate a milestone birthday and can't bring a birthday cake because somebody else once made a mess? The concept actually sounds really fun, which is why I called in the first place. But between the price, the short one-hour time block, the no-birthday-cake policy and, most importantly, how unpleasant the sales experience was, our group of 25 will be celebrating this 50th somewhere else. When someone calls ready to potentially spend $1,000 with your business for a milestone birthday, making them feel welcome probably shouldn't be the hardest part of the game. read more

My family and I chose Game Show Battle Rooms in Detroit-Troy for a family game day, and while I knew it would be fun, it completely blew my expectations out of the water! From the second we walked in, we were welcomed by the friendliest, most endearing staff. A huge shoutout to our host, Shane, and our producer, Morgan--they broke down the rules, cracked a few jokes, and set the perfect tone right from the start. Game show battle rooms was really cool! They had a bar and seating area up front and it looks like they allowed outside food. There were a few parties that brought in pizza and cake that we saw so that is pretty cool. We had a group of 12 so we were split into 2 teams of 6 for our battle and we played the classics. It was fun! There is a producer and a host that run the games and it really feels like you are on the shows! The lights and everything make it feel really real. Our host was Megan and she had a good amount of energy and kept things moving. Our producer was Brad and he was funny and had the authentic producer voice which added to the experience.
