Love the maple leaf on the lid

First time at Tim horton's, and I had a great experience :). When I got to Canada, I immediately noticed that Tim hortons was EVERYWHERE! Seriously, there were two in the airport alone! So of course, we had to give it a try. I had a passion fruit tea lemonade and split some Timbits with friends. The tea was sweet but not cloying. I cant say there was much tea flavor, but it was really pleasant to drink. Think Starbucks refresher! I had one of each flavor timbit (maple, sour cream glazed, birthday cake, and chocolate). The flavors were all delicious and tasted as they were described, but they were a bit too cakey for me. Admittedly, we bought them several hours before we ate them so that was probably on us. Overall delicious, I'd love to try their ice Capp drinks and some of their sandwiches, as well as their gorgeous specialty doughnuts!!

Tim Horton’s, Toronto ON

This TIm's is located in the same building as the Hockey Hall of Fame and so it has some hockey memorabilia on display. Otherwise, it's a Timmy's with hot coffee, sandwiches, donuts and the like. Free wifi worked well. There are some tables in the atrium of the building and also six or so in the back of the restaurant where there are some power outlets, too. No one seemed to mind that I nursed my small coffee (only $2!) for about an hour while I did some Internet and Yelp. There was a young lady here before I arrived and after I left that appeared to be studying. No homeless inside. [Review 10981 overall, 753 of 2019.]

Tim Hortons was founded in 1964 by Hockey Legend Tim Horton who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Despite his death in 1974 due to a car accident, his memory lives on through the beloved Canadian chain of Tim Hortons specializing in affordable and delicious coffee and donuts. When in Canada, it is essential to stop by a Tim Hortons. They are EVERYWHERE!! :) This location of Tim Hortons is a Hall of Fame special edition Tim Hortons since it is located right outside of the Hockey Hall of Fame. You can see jerseys displayed around the business in the Sam Pollock Square. On the day that I visited, there was even a Tim Hortons backdrop that I proudly took a selfie with!! I had a Maple Dip classic donut ($0.99 CAD) and a medium Original Iced Capp ($2.99 CAD). My Maple donut was perfect!!!!! It was the perfect amount of sweetness. The donut to glaze ratio is on point. I also really enjoyed the Iced Capp on the hot record breaking heat day that I happened to be visiting Canada. I really need a Tim Hortons near me in the states. I love Tim Hortons so much I am already ordering their brand of coffee off Amazon. In addition to being tasty and affordable I feel like Tim Hortons is engrained into the Canadian culture. When it is playoff season I know that this location of Tim Hortons even has limited edition Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jay donuts. That must be exciting for the strong spirited fans. Also the service was perfect. The lady who was helping me was the sweetest soul!! It is true what they say -- CANADIANS ARE SO NICE!! I love Canada!! My only regret is that I did not buy any Timbits. These are the Tim Horton's special donut holes (what we call them where I come from) and I heard that they are amazing. It was so early in the day and I didn't want to hold it all day walking around downtown Toronto so I couldn't get it. *sigh* It's okay though, this just means that I need to fly back to Canada ASAP!! ;)

Man, Tim Hortons is the place right? Well that's what I kept hearing from people. "You've gotta go to Tim's". Ok, I'll go. I'm in Canada so why not? Hm, I mean, it was alright. One thing I noticed immediately were that the tables all needed to be wiped down. Everyone was dirty. I wanted to sit down and eat so that wasn't a great starting point. In true Canadian fashion, the employees were super friendly. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and potatoes. The wrap was much smaller than I anticipated. It was not very filling. While the chicken was good, it just wasn't satisfying. The potatoes were a little soggy for my liking. After I did get a chocolate chip cookie which was pretty bomb. Maybe I should I have stuck with sweets? I maybe can see why people love it so much from a coffee and donuts perspective, but I didn't like the food much at all. Come for the coffee if you will. That's all I would try the next time I visit. If I'm hungry I'll go elsewhere, else I'm only hungry for a cookie.

Match made in heaven

Tried the new spicy chicken sandwich which was pretty good. The showstoppers however were the Timbits doughnut holes and the iced cappuccino. OMG that coffee drink is goooood. I will be having doughnuts and coffee every day during my time in Canada. Tim Horton's, please pretty please open up shops in Cali!!!!

Hitotoki Japanese Bakery

What a gem! This bakery is tucked into the southeast corner…read moreof Yonge & College, and walking inside feels like stepping straight into Japan. The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Amazing place! I…read morecalled ahead to find out if they had this plum tart I purchased the first time I was there. Yet no one answered the phone. No problem. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
