WARNING: Extremely disappointing and potentially unsafe experience…read more I rarely leave reviews like this, but people need to be aware of what I experienced at this deli. I bought the cocktail shrimp ($12 for half a pound) and was shocked. The shrimp had a greenish discoloration on the sides, was extremely stringy, and had an off smell. It did NOT look or taste fresh and honestly raised serious concerns about quality and storage. When bringing it to the attention of the cashier she replied "Ella no quiere". Bringing it to another person attention "what happened" Ella no quiere again. It's not that I don't want it. It was disgusting they were selling green shrimp. The gentleman at the counter was very sweet, but even if he gave me a fresh one, it would've been from the same green, stringy batch regardless. They should absolutely not be serving this especially on the Fourth of July. I also tried the lobster salad ($22 for a small half pound), which was basically mayonnaise with corn and celery and only a few tiny pieces of lobster. nowhere near worth the price. The chicken salad ($12.99) was even worse. It was oily, unappetizing, and looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. Easily the worst chicken salad I've ever had. Look at that oil! Overall, everything I purchased felt low quality and questionable in freshness. I was genuinely disgusted and surprised a place like this would sell products in this condition. I would strongly caution others before buying seafood or prepared foods here. I will not be returning.

The regular naan was cooked well however I thought the onion stuffed naan was underdone and slightly doughy. The lamb Rogan Josh is well spiced for the normal patron even though I wished it was spicier for my taste. Definitely one of the best hotel restaurants that I can think of.

Well, I'm not sure how much the city of Roslyn has to offer though, so maybe it's the place to be as it got pretty packed as the evenings went on. I went once for dinner and had a pretty good shrimp cocktail with large shrimp and bland cocktail sauce, even with the extra horseradish. My seared tuna was overcooked, but had a nice flavor. Seared usually means some type of crusty charred goodness, but this didn't have it. The chai creme brûlée was good, but the sugar wasn't torched properly and didn't have that snap, crackle or pop which is what it's supposed to have. On a second night I went for cocktails which were $20 a pop! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but they were well made... with the exception of not having a luxardo cherry in "The Brooklyn". The staff was friendly and remembered me from the night before. They have a pretty good menu, and also a separate Indian menu and seemed to be a place for some local celebrations going on. Good (not great), pricey and very close to my hotel room!

He never came to get our dessert order. Mind you and folks bringing the food and filling water and removing plates were very good and we avail ourselves out of their service to fetch the waiter. The seats were comfortable the lighting bright and the piped in music and cacophony of chortling diners a bit overbearing. Couldn't hear or be heard--frankly that was not a big deal since nobody really wants to hear what I have to say anyhow and nobody was revealing the directions to some hidden treasure. Please do not put 10 people at a table for 8...we were packed around the table like sardines. Numerous times when I was cutting my steak someone knocked into me and I easily could have sliced off a finger. The appetizers-- the calamari was absolutely perfect. Cooked perfectly and seasoned just right and also the coating was adherent and did not slough off when I cut the rings in half or champed on them. The friend zucchini is a signature appetizer for them but the garlic sauce steals the show! The meal--I ordered the fillet with an extra robust char and said medium would be fine. It came blue rare. No waiter to be found to cook it more but the bus person obliged. When it came back it was still rate but at that point I didn't have it in me. It came with a beautiful bulb of garlic! I applied the garlic and some butter and blue cheese dressing to the steak and with or without this amalgam it was amazing! Really worth all the logistics and service shortcomings. The creamed spinach was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The coconut cake was dense and rich--in a good way! It was delicious and I highly recommend it. I would have given the restaurant 4+ stars but the noise and poor waitstaff performance knocked it down to 3. I'll go back but will ask to sit in a less noisy location and/or ask for a white or grey-haired waiter.

I had the eggs Benedict with salmon and the eggs were cooked perfectly, nothing runny on the outside and the yolk with just enough firmness around the edge to hold its shape but plenty of golden lava to dip into. The ice cube in my cousins brunchtini had flowers frozen into them- orchids? The impressive stack of fried crispy zucchini with garlic potato sauce were not overly greasy. Seating inside or outside, for dinner or lounging, plus plenty of parking in their own lot.

By the time I pull up, not even 8am, I'm already exhausted -- you know the feeling -- but the second I walk in, everything shifts. And that's because of Terri. Terri is the true highlight of my morning. She's one of those rare people who is genuinely happy to see you, every single time. She remembers my order, she asks how my morning's going, and she does it all with this warm, friendly energy that feels real -- not forced. It's like she hands out sunshine with the coffee (cheesy but true) Even on the days when I'm running late and my hair's a mess and I'm barely holding it together, Terri somehow makes me feel like I'm doing just fine. I swear, she could brighten a cave. The rest of the staff is great too -- quick, kind, and on top of things -- but Terri is the person who turns that quick coffee stop into something I actually look forward to. She makes the whole place feel special. I know it's just coffee, but that little boost, that little bit of kindness... it really changes my whole day.
