    Gyro Plate (dine in)
    Katrina M.

A gem in East Tulsa, with excellent Mediterranean food and even better service. The gyro plate is delicious. The meat is flavorful and tender, and I like that you can pick four sides to have with your protein. I like to add hummus, tzatziki, tabbouleh, and corn, but there's plenty more to choose from. I only wish they also had toum/garlic sauce. Plenty of other options exist to turn your meal into a burrito, a pita, tacos, or even a quesadilla, which is fun if you want to change up your order. I noticed a steady stream of customers during the lunch hour when I dined in last time, and the presentation of the food is nice when you eat there. Dining area is large and overall clean. There's tons of parking outside. Most of all, the owner is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. He really appreciates his customers and always seems to remember me and my boyfriend. I really appreciate his dedication to wonderful customer service, and wish him and his business the best! - Ambiance: 4/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 10/5

The food is excellent. Great flavors and very good quality for the price. Nice clean atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.

Tikka Kabob leaves much to be desired. Despite requesting specific spice levels, the flavors were underwhelming on both visits, with inconsistency in heat levels between dishes. Portions were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. We even ended up going to a taco spot after our first visit and getting Ming a couple street tacos to satisfy our empty stomachs, and my husband is a very lite eater. When he asked for extra rice, they wanted to charge him $4-5, which is insane. My initial disappointment wasn't alleviated upon a return visit, as the food continued to lack flavor and portion sizes remained inadequate. Unfortunately, Tikka Kabob fails to impress, and I won't be returning.

Not bad but not the best. good food if you want something cheap + BYO. Chicken Tikka Pita Sandwich (3/5) - chicken was dry and it was a bit oily. ~$9.70

This is the best Mediterranean food I have had. Everything is very fresh and the owner is very friendly and super awesome.

New favorite restaurant in Oklahoma!!!…read more I've lived in the Middle East and I can tell you this place is an absolute gem for the very healthy ancient cuisine. The greedy part of me thought I shouldn't review this place because the food is so good I don't want the quality compromised by too much customer service but the food has literally compelled me to write this. Friday evening 6:30pm: the place doesn't have a single chair available, tabouli is sold out. Plan accordingly. The Mezza Platter & the Shish Kebab are winners! The tenderloin shish kebab was the best I've EVER had! The tzatziki cucumber yogurt dip was perfectly thick...not runny like other inferior restaurants. The cabbage roll was surprisingly pleasant. I liked the herb olive oil dizzle over the hummus and eggplant dip. I also enjoyed the subtle hint of charred eggplant in the background of the dip. The place is across from Natural Grocers so it's perfectly located for multiple shops and stops. Will I come back? Definitely! Honest review & not paid by anyone to write these words. Also, I'm not AI!

We're a sharing is caring group and I sampled from the other vegan items ordered. The falafel was great, the red onion and cabbage salad was great, and the red lentil soup was sooo good. The meaty meats agreed and enjoyed their vegan, vegetarian, and meat options as well. I'm glad we came in! I wasn't aware they had so many vegan items on their regular menu. This spot is going into the heavy rotation category forthwith!

I got an avocado sandwich and Dan got the Shawarma chicken. They were both delicious. Both were served on fresh pita bread. Dan got a huge serving of delicious marinated chicken. It was such a generous serving that he couldn't finish it. Mine was just right. They have quite a variety of Mediterranean dishes on their menu. We plan to return and try their egg plant dip, grape leaves, and other tempting choices. They charge extra for using credit cards. I find that ironic because what drew us to this restaurant is that it is on the rapid rewards dining partners list. When we dine at a restaurant on this list, we get 3 airline points per dollar spent instead of the usual one point per dollar. I usually avoid businesses that charge for credit cards.

Noticeable, a little redecorating has happened since then, both with the décor and the prices. I swear that the prices have doubled since 2018 our first visit. Fairly and appropriately up due to inflation. So significantly higher that instead of the platter we always had, we went with the more economical Chicken Shawarma sandwich. Tabouli and hummus for the sides. The sandwiches were filling. Packed with chicken and fresh salad. The pita on the sandwich and the squares for dipping were a little stale. Tabouli average and mild, but rich nutty flavored, thick hummus very good. A heavy peppering with ground sumac always brightens up the hummus and the sandwich; well, any Mediterranean food for that matter. (Sumac, yes, the same stuff that grows on the roadsides in Oklahoma.) Always ask for it. Something I forgot about, the Cardamon Iced tea. This is a refreshing, tasty drink. Ali Baba's is one of the very few Mediterranean restaurants that serves it. Try it if you haven't The service is friendly/adequate. Order at the counter. Your food is delivered to the table.
