Lovely place for brunch. My eggs benedict was delicious, eggs perfectly poached. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and several plates were completely cleaned off . Menu offered large selection of brunch and lunch items. My mimosa was a bit weak but the Bloody Marys had a good amount of alcohol. The servers were friendly and attentive. Additional seating available on second floor.

Great food and ambiance. A really nice American restaurant that serves some of the most amazingly delicious foods in the area. We were blown away by the crispy calamari, which features a much thinner batter layer that had a nice and crispy crunch, more akin to Japanese tempura. The portion sizes were fairly large too, and the amount of meat in the braised short rib papardelle was amazing. The creamy texture of the meat blended very well with the fresh parpardelle. The seafood paella is certainly a must get, with the rice layer really soaking up the flavour of the mussels and clams that fill the plate to the brim in both quantity and flavour. The seared tuna bowl was good too, but nothing too special when compared to the other dishes. Service was very good, and the window seating provides a nice view of the lake nearby!

Easter Brunch nothing impressive. Childrens menu for $32 a kid was embarrassing. Again nothing stood out for Party of 5. I was very disappointed.

Great spot in Roslyn, LI. Overlooks a pond which is very scenic. Service and staff was great. The drinks and food here were delicious. I would go with any of the cocktails but my bloody mary was on point. Food was the standout. Burger was juicy and flavorful. The cob salad was fresh and satisfying. And the crab cakes were a great appetizer. Would definitely come back again. Great in a group or for date night.

They have a $31 brunch which includes one alcoholic (or non) drink. Certain item requires an up charge. Overall the portion were generous and the service really prompt, attentive and courteous.

The food was great! Definitely great portions for the price. I do however wish the staff was a bit more friendly so the rating will have to be four stars.

Wish we could give 1/2 Stars, REALLY SOLID place to eat! Accommodating and efficient service. Brunch for $28 provides a plethora of hearty, healthy options. We chose the BBQ Brisket and scrambled eggs with a Blood Orange Margarita (they use Don Julio Blanco.) We also had the Crabcake Burger, which is a pound of shellfish deliciousness with a Peach (Goya) Bellini ($7 J. Roget Champagne), which was a perfect combination. The Sirloin burger was topped with 2 slab-style bacon strips and Cheddar with crusted French fries, which adds more savoriness. You're started off with drop Sugar Biscuits, which are a bit dry but helped with whipped Cinnamon Butter and came the we had a side of the Strawberry spread that accompanies the regular biscuits. Another great time at Thyme!

Everything from food to service is just superior! Cute little restaurant where on 1st floor they invite live band to play while people dining and we were seated on the second floor near fireplace. Not a big space but very cute cozy and warm atmosphere. Young waiters are all very friendly and attentive. The best service ever! First time I went with my friend and had pesto pasta and cod dish with seasonal vegetables, yummy!! All very scrumptious. Second time I went back with my family just two months ago to celebrate my birthday. We had tuna tartar for appetizers and had seafood pasta, cod dish / shrimp dish and grilled scallop and lots of cocktails too. Can't remember the name of each dish since it's been a while but all I can say is that I was not disappointed at all even at second time that all their dishes were so flavorful and had the special home-made touch to it that our family enjoyed so much. Keep up the great with Thyme. We will be back!

Like usual we didn't have a lot of time to be able to seat and eat something from their entree menu. So when the hostess offered us a seat at the bar we were fine with it. The bartender was very friendly and nice. My wife had a glass of Cabernet and I had the New York Sour which is their version of a whisky sour (really good). The Blackened Salmon Tacos were delicious and so was the Crab cake. Can't wait to be back here for dinner, we will be sure to request a seat by the window for a water view.

It's become a reliable stop whenever you're craving authentic Persian food done well. One thing I've always appreciated here is the little touches. The warm bread they bring out is wonderful, and if you know to ask, they'll sometimes bring lentils as well -- a comforting start to the meal that feels very traditional. The meats are always fresh and beautifully seasoned, which is exactly what you hope for when ordering Persian kebabs. They recently renovated the Roslyn Heights location, and the space now feels very modern and polished. It's definitely an upgrade visually. That said, the dining room is a bit on the smaller side, and the tables sit fairly close together -- close enough that you might hear your neighbor's conversation. The Huntington location has a more relaxed, family-style Persian feel, while Roslyn feels more contemporary. Service has always been thoughtful. During our visit, we accidentally dropped a fork and the staff immediately replaced it without hesitation. Small gestures like that go a long way. What also makes Ravagh special is its place in the Roslyn Heights community. Located in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood on Long Island, it's nice to see a restaurant serving authentic halal Persian cuisine and welcoming such a diverse crowd. It adds something meaningful to the local dining scene. The spices and flavors are always the highlight. Desserts could perhaps be elevated a bit more, but the overall experience -- from the kebabs to the hospitality -- keeps people coming back. A lovely dinner spot on Long Island that continues to represent Persian cuisine with consistency and care.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

They put out a little pita and two little dips: very plain pasty humus and even blander babaganoush. My wife and son each ordered crab cake and white lima beans appetizers, but the kitchen put them on the same plate. They both agreed it was delicious and that it was smart they got two orders of crab cake ($32 each) because there wasn't enough for two adults to split one crab cake, which was about the size of two stacked knock hockey pucks. They both ordered the halibut ($46 each), but I got the bargain swordfish ($45). All of us agreed the fish dishes were top quality, very well prepared including the accompanying veggies. I can't name another restaurant that prepares fish better. Two out of the three desserts were winners: my pistachio cake ("portokalopita") and the "chocolatina" (chocolate cake filled with hot fudge ("volcano"), etc. The loser was "milopita" (apple cake), which wasn't cake at all, but more like a flatbread with powdered sugar and a few super thin slices of overcooked, tasteless green apple. The bus boys were attentive, but the waiter was snippy and didn't seem to have time for us. The bill for the three of us with tip was over $300 and the only drink we ordered was my wife's tea.

There is a parking lot, but I had to wait for a car to leave to get a spot. I had made a reservation for 6 people at 7:00pm earlier in the week. My friends were running late, but I was seated in the meantime. Umami Sushi and Grill is modern, stylish, and spacious. We were seated in a private nook like an open bird cage and it allowed for a private and intimate dining experience. It was all of ours first time here and can't wait to go back. We started with the Mushroom Salad and Rock Shrimp Tempura Bites for appetizers. The mushroom salad had sautéed seasonal mushrooms with yuzu dressing. The rock shrimp was battered and lightly fried served with yuzu creamy spicy aioli sauce. The mushroom salad was refreshing and the rock shrimp flavor was great. We also ordered a bottle of Mio sparkling sake. I've always enjoyed this sake so I had to order it when I saw it on the menu. It is light, fruity, and slightly sweet. I ordered the Shaggy Dog Roll which had shrimp tempura inside, topped with crab meat, crunch, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Very yummy and savored every bite. For dessert, I had the matcha cheesecake and I enjoyed it very much. The matcha cheesecake was packed with matcha flavor and it was creamy and luscious. The portion was smaller than the fried cheesecake and the fried ice cream that my friends got, but that was totally okay since the matcha cheesecake was so rich. Umami Sushi and Grill was the perfect place for my friends and I to catch up. Service was wonderful and we stayed at the restaurant for about 3 hours. My first impression of the place was that it was beautiful inside and the lounge area was very cosy with a fireplace and couches. There's a bar area and seating both upstairs and downstairs on the main dining level. We were seated upstairs where it felt a bit cramped as they had placed 7 seats around one circular table. I had sat in the chair with the back to the wall and it was a tight fit and I could barely move my chair. The other tables were placed very close together and I could hear the nearby tables' conversations with how loud the noise level was. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and my family and I were starving and ready to order, but we experienced a bit of a wait since our server was attending to other tables. The waiter was friendly but the delay was noticeable. Now onto the food, overall it was average with some hits and misses. I highly recommend the fried calamari and Mac and cheese as appetizers. Both were very delicious. For drinks, I ordered the cold blooded margarita and loved it so much. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict but found the hollandaise sauce to be a bit too salty. There was a mix up with my order so while everyone else received their meals I had to wait a while for my order to be corrected. I was disappointed with the portion size of the home fries as it was quite small and barely had any potatoes. My mom ordered the steak and eggs and she liked how perfectly seasoned the steak was. Overall, service could be better and I'm willing to give the food another chance. There is also both valet parking and street parking available.
