I carry things in my work pants pockets. This wears them out every few years. Recently I discovered I was leaving a trail of coins behind, so took a pair to Thu's. They offered to fix them for a decent price, and promised them back within a few weeks. Today I wore those pants again, and the repair is unnoticeable. I went to Thu's Tailor shop on Friday to pick up a few pairs of jeans I had them work on and I am now instantly a fan of Thu's Tailoring. I had been using a different tailor for the last several years, but had never been particularly impressed. So, I started looking for a different place to go. I found Thu's online and saw they had solid reviews, so decided to try them. From the moment of dropping my clothes off, it was a better experience than I had had at other places. When I went to Thu's, I asked them to hem up a few pairs of jeans as well as add on a couple of belt loops to two of the pairs. Rather than just have me tell them how many inches to hem the pants, the woman there had me try on each pair, she folded the pant legs to the length I wanted, and marked them (this may be standard at tailors, but my previous tailor never did this; they just asked me how many inches to take off and it did not always work out OK). When I picked up my pants and got them home, they were the perfect length and the thread colors used perfectly matched each pair of jeans. And the the belt loops they had fashioned and added looks just like the genuine loops already on the jeans. And all of this was at a much more reasonable price that I had been paying somewhere else. This is going to be where I go from now on to get my clothes altered or fixed. It is family owned, the folks there are clearly conscientious, and do high quality work. I am a big fan now! read more

I'm not from the area and was not familiar with reputable tailors around the area. I came across Thu's Tailoring and was very impressed!! They are so nice and I felt so welcomed by them. I was a walk in and had to wait a little bit because I came in during a busy time. As soon as I was seen, it was very fast and efficient. They were so kind in helping me check out. Their credit card machine is slow so cash is definitely preferred. They said my pants would be ready in one week and they were on time. I would come back time and time again. I had a wool sweater that I bought in England in the early 1990's that I couldn't part with despite a large moth hole in the front of it. Took it into Thu's and I cannot even find where the repaired hole was. It looks absolutely the same as the day I purchased it. We have had other items repaired here as well. I had four pairs of jeans tailored here. The owners are so sweet! She estimated that my repairs would take 2 weeks, and she had them finished in 1 week! I had two of my jeans standard hemmed, and two pairs of jeans hemmed with the original hem. All four pairs turned out fantastic! read more

I had a jacket fixed. The inside was ripping. It looked OK when I got it but after wearing it a couple weeks later, the stitching didn't hold so I took it back and she refused to fix it without paying 20 more dollars which is how much it cost originally to get fixed. She kept putting her policy returned within seven days but I didn't wear it right away so her customer service is horrible they're. I had bought a dress to my daughter's wedding in Cary. 2 months later when I went to get it they couldn't find it and when they did no alterations had been done. Luckily I had a backup dress but it needed a lot of alterations. I took it to Thu's to see if they had time to help me. We were 2 and a half weeks from the wedding. The woman there said it would be no problem and would have it done in 10 days. She called 8 days later and said it was ready. She did a beautiful job on the dress. You couldn't even tell it had been altered. It was amazing work. The price was very reasonable and I felt it should have been more so I tipped her. Amazing craftsmanship! Highly recommend. read more

All I can say is wow! My wife and I brought in a men's small combat shirt, as they don't make a women's combat shirt. She completely reworked the shirt to fit my wife, and it doesn't just fit, it's flattering on her! Alterations would be putting it mildly, she basically made a custom shirt out of the fabric provided and we couldn't be happier. read more
