I highly recommend this Shop. Her alterations are impressive. She was able to alter a silk dress that my daughter needed for a wedding that arrive in the wrong size. She did a magnificent job in no time. She also alter my youngest daughter weeding frees that by the time it came from New York it was a little bigger so she did a perfect job and we did not have to send it to NY again, so it saved me lots of money in shipping. There good I don't need to go in detail but it's worth the drive and money the only thing is they never answer the damn phone if you get threw then you lucky they Spanish but few of them speak English but like I said if you get them on the phone and they tell you when to come Go right then and there lmfaoooo and the shop is tiny it's 3 from a hotel on this little dirt road but there worth the drive to just to see if there. I have never used a tailor shop. But it is formal attire season with proms and wedding and my daughter's dress needed a quick hem due to change in shoe selection. I tried to do it myself but it was no match for a newbie. I called around two days before event and asked if they accepted last minute request. Samantha did and i was so relieved. I even moved up pick up time due without an issue. I realize that it was an easier task than most request- but for a working parent- it was a relief to know that I found my go to local seamstress. This small shop is very nice and has a fast turn around time for a good price. I am giving them a low rating because I brought in a brand new skirt to be hemmed, and when I picked it back up there were 10-15 purple stains all over it. They wouldn't help cover the dry cleaner costs (which thankfully removed the stains as this was needed for my wedding), and wouldn't take fault in the stains. A lot of unnecessary stress right before a wedding, but the other alterations they made for us turned our great. read more

Samantha did an amazing job tailoring my wedding dress. She is incredibly sweet and patient and did three fittings trying to get the dress exactly right. Her prices are beyond affordable and she turned around everything in a timely manner. I was shocked at the quality of her work and would absolutely use her again. She has also worked on my suit pants and a bridesmaid dress and all the work was high quality. I am clearly not the only fan of her work as her shop is full of prom and quinceanera dresses and she recently moved to a larger shop in the same area. Samantha Tailor shop is the best one in the triangle area. Wonderful job, from sewing, changing zippers, ironing, altering dresses, you name it. Not to mention that her prices are reasonable. I brought in my wedding dress about 3 days before my wedding. It was off the rack. So you could imagine the issues with it. There was a large cut in the back on the train about 5 in long, some beeding was missing and it was too long. It came out perfect. I've been coming back ever since. Very nice lady and place she has. Took 7 shirts there to have pockets changed out due to ink stains on them. they looked great when done. She is very reasonable with pricing as well as the items being finished in a timely manner. I went there to sew panels on a dress and they did such a shoddy job. I could have sewn better (and I never sew) if I knew the end result is going to end up making my expensive dress look so cheap. And this is after I made 5 trips to tell them again and again to fix one thing or the other. They couldn't even measure properly!! I never write bad reviews but this bad job is making me cry because I have a wedding to attend and they ruined my dress. I guess if you have to alter hems they might be ok but save yourself time and money and go to a better tailor who KNOWS HOW TO SEW!!! So disappointed! read more

I am not one to leave reviews, but I truly want to warn others of Samantha's Tailor Shop (since all of the other reviews are very positive). I took my grandmother's 60-year-old wedding gown here to have four very small rips fixed for my wedding. I clearly explained the sentimental value of the gown, and was told to come back in a week. When I called a week later to make sure it was ready, the person on the phone said "Wedding dress? We don't have any of those here," then passed the phone around to everyone in the shop, who also told me that they didn't have ANY wedding dresses in their shop. Finally, after 10 minutes of begging for them to keep looking for it, someone told me "OHHHHH, THATTTT DRESS. Yeah, come by tomorrow morning. We'll have it done by then." When I picked my dress up, the work was shoddy. They had sloppily trimmed the frayed cotton tulle to make the holes larger, and replaced it with loose stitches, further tearing the fabric. Though the fixes were only $20, it was not worth the panic of being told they had lost my dress, and the further damage they caused to it. Please, please save yourself the worry and don't take clothing of any worth here. read more
