It was a tricky fix, because the sleeves and pants had to be pared down the inseams to prevent billowing, and that job was done well, and that's why I give more than one star. But I paid $94 and the cuffs on the pants and shirt are terrible and continue to unravel and pull apart to this day. It's truly unacceptable. The threads were tangled, overlapped and loose. Many now have come completely out. It was a very sloppy job on a uniform I paid a lot for, and more to tailor, and is now ruined. Further, on pickup, I'd asked for a patch to be sewn on and it wasn't, so they had to crank that out fast. Not at all worth the $100 I spent, I was very disappointed not to be proud of a local business.

I took my daughter's mermaid-style dress in to be altered because she wanted it to hug her body properly. They assured us they could do it. After two failed attempts, instead of being honest from the beginning and saying they couldn't achieve the look, they basically did what they felt was "good enough" and then told us there was nothing more they could do. We left unhappy and completely unsatisfied with the work. Money wasted. Businesses should not take advantage of people like that. Very disappointing experience.

She did my wedding dress, and it could only be done by an absolute perfectionist. That dress had to go down 2 sizes and shortened and it fit like a glove. Could not tell the lace hem was cut. If you want affordable or bargain for small jobs like hems, but don't expect it to be perfect, by all means have the department store or dry cleaners do it. If you want to make sure it is done right, ie: shortened denim have the same looking hem as the original, (perfection), then that is what you are paying for. This was never meant to be a bargain service shop. Paying for quality. As far as the comment of daughters are rude and takes a long time for them to do the job... Mie-Lien is a one person show and it has been that way for years. She only has one daughter, who has a different profession. So, I wonder if that person was referring to another business. When Mie-Lien officially retires, those that truly appreciate her craft will cry, as she is one of a kind.
