This meant toilet water leaked underneath for years, creating a breeding ground for mold. * Shower Leak: He didn't even bother to use Teflon tape to seal the shower pipes, causing water to drip inside the walls, fueling even more mold growth. Because of Alan's shoddy work, our entire restroom was infested with mold, which then spread to our garage and living room. Worst of all, my son, who has been using that restroom daily, has been sick for over two years--all because of Alan's negligence. I also should have put down grout caulk instead, but I'm a software developer, and apparently I don't know jack about home repair. In addition to it being the wrong color, the new grout spread further into the bathroom. So, I removed it, went to Home Depot, bought more grout, and it was the wrong color. I did this about three more times, and I couldn't match the color. Really sucked. But these guys fixed the problem, and I'm happy with their work.

To remove the existing laminate flooring and patches of adhesive vinyl beneath that, and replace with all new Pergo (TM) floor in my living room, kitchen, and hallway area, his bill came to $4000. I believe the price was fair. But what you get with the price is a classy French man to work in your home - and he gets the job done lightning fast. The one time he was late, he called to apologize in advance. He was running behind because he'd needed to feed his ducks. One time, I came home to find him and his assistant (also a French man), working efficiently like two gears in a clock, sneaking in gulps of red wine, and listening to NPR. The floor looked magnifique when they were done. Unfortunately, the Pergo started to show horrible scuff marks within a year. But blame that on the Swedes.

You know, the cost of doing business. I read in a previous review that their estimate was done contactless with photos sent by the customer. Looks like that's NOT their process any longer.
