Ate here during their Dining on Saxer event. I had a side Road Runner Salad and a small Sea Isle style pizza with half sausage. We also had a variety of rollettes for the table. Just want to give a heads up on how poorly thunderbird pizza in Springfield pa is managed. Don't plan on ordering if you'd expect any customer service what so ever from this place. Only ordered a pizza and a wrap and they could remember to deliver the wrap, didn't know they forgot it, and had the audacity to tell us it's our fault. No compensation for the $6 wrap that THEY forgot. It's an embarrassment that thunderbird doesn't even remotely care about any customer. Spoke to the manager and just got the runaround. Still haven't received the wrap or a refund supposedly they are taking care of the refund. Will never order from there again. Hopefully they change owners and learn some customer service! read more

I have lived in Marple Twp for 5 yrs. I have been to Thunderbird about 6 times. The food is ok but expensive. The worst part about Thunderbird is their bad customer service. Each time I have ordered out and picked up, they have been snarky and rude. Today, my family and I ate lunch there. we had a coupon but left it int he car. After we realized that we had forgotten the coupon and asked them to honor it; they said they couldn't because they had already "rung us out". We asked for cash but they refused. We will not be back to Thunderbird as a result of their consistent rudeness and failure to honor their coupons. read more

Been going here for years and I have had the pizza, salads and cheesesteaks. The food is decent but there's plenty of other pizza places in the area on par or better. The customer service leaves much to be desired. I was told 20 minutes for 2 salads on a Monday night, 50 minutes later I was still sitting there waiting. And this is a common occurrence. It's a shame, this used to be one of my favorite pizza shops, but now I avoid it. When my wife and daughter want to get salads from there, which they really like, I'll choose to eat leftovers rather then get something from there. Pizza is fair at best, kind of tasteless and often not done all the way. The worst wings around, and fries are always soggy and like a wet noodle. Cheesesteaks and the like are small, bland, and have very little meat in them. This place still does a business because of location and it's sort of ingrained in people to go there because it used to be good, but the owners need to step back and compare their food to other places. The pizza is okay as long as you ask for it well done otherwise it can be kind of doughy. The salads and wraps are okay but not worth what they charge. Honestly, everything I've had from this place is just okay. They're pretty expensive and then have the nerve to charge extra for delivery AND for paying with credit/debit cards. Their delivery takes over an hour so your food arrives cold every single time. If you order from here I'd recommend picking up your order to avoid paying extra in order to wait an hour or more to receive your cold food. Their cheese steaks are really dry and bland- I do not recommend the hoagies or cheesesteaks at all. I order from this place once in a blue moon when nothing else is available but it's definitely not a go to spot. read more

We order salads from here for lunch at my job once a week. We love the salads. My two favorites are the avocado salad and the speedy gonzalez. My coworkers love the greek, road runner, and I forget the name of the other. I think if you are in the mood for a salad that this place is the best. We also like the wraps. read more

Best pizza place in Springfield and arguably Delaware county. I am not s big pizza guy myself so I'm not one to judge pizzas. However, I do enjoy their dirty pie. If you're aren't a big pizza fan because of tons and tons of crust, this may be the pizza for you. Tomato chunks, grated cheese and great spices make this pizza one of my favorites. It comes in a square cut, which is great for sharing. Besides the pizza, thunderbird is my go to for anything buffalo. I love their buffalo sauce. There's something about it that is different from the classic "pizza place" wing sauce. I would recommend getting the hot fingers rather than the wings. More bang for your buck and the chicken tenders are great. Also, slap on a order of T-Bird fries. If fries with chicken, cheese, wing sauce are your thing, T-Bird fries will be calling your name. I would give thunderbird II 5 stars but it is a little on the pricey side. That being said, it is tough producing food with quality ingredients for a low price. Thunderbird uses great ingredients, and it's always my go to place on a weeknight when I'm too lazy to make dinner. read more

Not even how long it would be just says they don't deliver there! And after I asked them if they changed their rules they said no we just don't go that far if we are busy but if we are slow we can and to me as a customer that is very misleading! There is absolutely no customer service but food is good if they get your order right. I've been ordering from here for many years but this time is the last. Ordered 2 salads a month ago and after arriving back home I called them to advise them they gave me a completely different salad than the one i ordered and paid extra for chicken and all. They said they could deliver another, I told them where I was and they said they won't come to Drexil hill and next time I order there to mention it, and they would comp it. I asked if it gets credited to my number or something and all they said no but to just tell them next time. So here we are a month later, called and ordered just a salad for pick up and told them what they said to say and all, they asked the date, i looked back into my call log and told them Jan 5th, well they said nobody wrote that down they dont have any history of a mistake. I asked if they at least saw the order that day and they said yes but no remarks for it being an error and there's nothing they'll do for me. Seriously? It's a $8 salad today they wouldn't comp when the salad I ordered a month ago was more than what I was asking for now. I was on the phone almost 10 minutes trying to understand, I asked them even though it's their fault they made the wrong salad and now their fault the man didn't write it down if they still won't honor it and he said there's absolutely nothing he can do and he even mentioned how it was a whole month ago! I said sorry I don't order take out every week, like does that even matter now when your not doing anything about it? I was just so upset because I've never encountered an establishment such as theirs that treats their loyal customers like over just one basic salad. Sure they've messed up my orders in the past numerous times but it's small things like the wrong topping or olives when I asked for none, but I never complain on those sort of things because that's almost everywhere but this is not okay. I have ordered here 2 times and both times the service was not up to par. The first time they ran my card twice and they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them when I called for the refund. The second time I ordered 10 pizza's and 100 wings for delivery at a specific time for my son's birthday party, we called when they were 20 minutes late and finally the food arrived 50 minutes late and missing 2 pizzas. We were not given and option if we wanted the pizza he just said we will refund the money for those 2 pizzas. Since it was such a mess I checked my calculations and realized that I was charged the wrong amount (close to $40 more). The food is good but needless to say I will not be taking my business there ever again. Its sad that the customer service can ruin a place. read more

Its within walking distance from my friend's house and is an awesome option to have in your back pocket if plans fall through or you need some late grub. Cheese steaks are pretty solid. The cheese steak egg rolls are fantastic, especially when you get to dip them. I'd highly recommend a tray of them for your next party or just a late night. All the traditional fare is solid as well whether its fries or salads and sandwiches. The only negative thing i can say is that they seem to run out of cheese wiz a lot and take a bit to restock. If you're a wiz wit or cheese fry person its a bit of a bother but not a deal breaker. Also I wasn't sure of the cutoff for food on late nights since I walked in and they said only pizza after a certain hour since they are open till midnight on weekends. However its still one of my best options when I'm in Delco. read more

I've been ordering from here for 22 years and not much has changed. Food is good when they actually get the order right but expect bad customer service and LONG wait times - at least an hour + no matter what the order. Also they NEVER ever put the sauce that goes to your order in the bag. Order wings? no blue cheese or celery (if you do get it they charge you extra and the celery is usually old and brown). Order cheese fries? you will never get the cheese or ketchup but they will indeed charge you extra for it! Want delivery. Expect to pay extra because they charge you for it (check your tab, if they actually give you a copy). Want to pay with a credit card? They charge you for this too. They nickel and dime you for everything. The food usually arrives cold and soggy and don't even get me started on the prices. You can order outback (or equivalent) for the entire family for the same cost as chicken fingers and pizza at this place. My advice, save you money... unless you are ordering late. They do stay open decent hours most nights. read more

Over the past 10 years I've tried these guys over and over again, hoping the service would change. The food is good. On many occasions me or my wife calls and are confronted with mediocre or outright rude service, my wife was even in tears one night. The owner always tries to make up for it but he really needs to change the service and hire polite individuals. At this point we'd rather go 2 doors down and get somewhere close to the same quality with 10x better service, maybe I'll try in another year or so:( read more

This place takes forever to make food. Once in a while I order a BLT sandwhich on white bread with mayo for pick up. They tell me it will take 25 minutes. When I come in 25 minutes later, the bread is usually in the toaster still and they have not even started making it. This happens most times. Today, I ordered the same thing and I got a sandwhich on wheat bread with no mayo and it was not even cut. I had to wait about 10 minutes after I got there to receive my food. I am very disappointed. If there is one thing about Tbird II that separates them from the rest of the hundreds of pizza shops in the area its their buffalo wing sauce. The wing sauce that pretty much all pizza places possess all taste the same. All in all one of the best ! Their pizza, salads, wings just everything is very consistent and delicious. The salads are huge and loaded with great toppings and different dressings like Pineapple Mango its my favorite. Their wing sauce is one of a kind and the variety of pizzas make it easy to please whoever you have at your home. My favorite is the Landers Italian Pizza and the Coconut Mango salad with great coconut shrimp on top it awesome. Plus my friends wife eats Gluten Free and the Gluten Free pizza was great.
