Thunderturd Pizza has a terrible staff and owner. My kids won a gift certificate there from their school. We didn't realize it had expired, a week ago, and when we went to pick up our order the guy behind the counter promptly ripped up the certificate and told me "the owner made a point to say we can't accept this". I was shocked. Could care less about the $15 but more appalled by how rude and unprofessional the staff was. It cost them nothing for that certificate but definitely lost a customer. Even if the manager or owner was like "sorry, this expired but we'll knock of the cost of the French fries" would have been more then enough for me. It's the fact that they went out of their way to disrespect me. A little common courtesy goes a long way. If I had known the certificate expired, I would have used it before it did. Honest mistake but knowing they don't care is what going to hurt them in the long run. Plus their pizza is trash too. read more

Horrible. 2 hours no delivery. Called twice. First time. On its way. Second time " no one home". Really!!! I'm sitting on my porch waiting On a cult de sac! My company left do embarrassed! read more

Very good pizza and Stromboli. Will definitely order from here again! We had a vegetarian pizza and meatball Stromboli and both were very good. I agree the sauce is extra special. In the future we will also have to try their other unique pizzas. Also had the Rollettes which were an indulgent fried treat with a good kick of spice. Also had the Cannoli Rollettes which were delicious! This is definitely one of the best pizza places in the area. read more

Hadn't been here in over 20 years. The cheesesteak was as good as I remembered. One of the better sandwiches in Delco.

Great pizza, go for the original landers. And the rollettes. Gets it to you fast! I really can't complain, there are a few items that aren't the absolute best like fries but it's a pizza place so go somewhere else for that. read more

My favorite go to at Thunderbird Springfield is their Saratoga Salad. I prefer mine with Bleu Cheese dressing as i think the dressing that comes with it is awful Yesterday was the 4th time I've ordered that salad and the 4th time I've requested Bleu cheese and this is the first time they got my order correct and let me tell you, that salad was AWESOME! Funny cause this was the last chance and u didn't let me down. Keep reading those orders correctly and keep up the good work! read more

Hasn't gotten an order correct in over a year. Salads missing ingredients, wrong dressing and sometimes they completely forget items like fries. Worth it if you're willing to make multiple trips to the store for order corrections. read more

Great pizza, our favorite is the upside down, their wings are perfect but NOTHING beats their fresh delicious salads made the way you like...yummmmm read more

Thunderbird pizza has the best buffalo chicken pizza on the planet. Also the staff is always very friendly despite how busy they are!

So disappointed!!! They boasted how Their Italian hoagie was "The Best" we just ordered 2 on Doordash from them, we each asked for extras , pickles, sweet peppers, ect.. They Obviously did NOT read the notes! And the actual hoagie was no better than a ham and cheese sandwich, there was a piece of salami, that's it! I was the one who said, they are the best when we were looking for a place to order from... well that was a while ago I guess because I would never order there again or recommend them at this point! read more

Update, upgrade! The owner of Thunderbird recently got in contact with me regarding my previous review. In a very classy move he apologized for my experience and offered a few items for our office as a sign of good faith. Also, he explained that if we would like something delivered at a certain time, to please specify that so they know how to handle their deliveries accordingly. I really like when an owner takes a moment to address a customer complaint and furthermore, puts forth the effort to correct it. I think my interaction with Thunderbird has been positive and the way my complaint was handled was done in a very professional manner. Our office loved the food and we will continue to order from this establishment. FYI, the hoagie tray (seeded rolls) and the dirty pizza were big hits with all the delco folks. read more

I would give them half a star if i could I waited over an hour and a half for delivery then we called and they acted like they didn't know what happened. The food got here and the pizza was such a let down cold n chewy like the cardboard box. The flavor tasted like the box! I was really let down considering it was $70 I will delete thunderbirds number from my contacts I hope that whatever the issue is it gets fixed because your food is really expensive!!! read more

Best 'offbeat pizza' around. By offbeat I mean it's unlike your typical slice. The upside down pizza is so so good.

I visit here to get some foods almost every week. They have original and excellent homemade foods. The amount is big too. I especially recommend their salad. They are HUGE for their price. Staffs are very kind and speedy. The taste doesn't change and solid. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because they sometimes forget/make a mistake on some of my orders. For example, they make 3 fries when I ordered 1 and charge me on all of them. The other example is when the menu says "with celery" or "with coleslaw" but when I get home and then I realize they didn't put them in my bag. One time, I decided to go back to tell them, then they said "You need to mention it when you order." Hmm...?? But these are just small mistakes. Overall, this is one of the best place to get great foods in Delco. I highly recommend it!! read more

Great rolls at this place. The sandwiches in general are flavorful. I have probably had take out here about a dozen times in the past five years. The salads are fresh and tasty. Also huge!!! So one is enough for two people. The pizza is not my style at all. It's thick and kind of oily. The delivery is awful. So we don't do that anymore. Last pickup they forgot all my sides. No cheese for fries, no blue for wings. So that stunk. But this place is ok in my book read more

I've been a customer of Thunderbird II on Saxer Avenue in Springfield, Delco PA for at least 15 years probably longer. I always get the speedy Gonzalez salad. It was always excellent up until about a year and a half ago. They must have new owners because on my last three visits I have been disappointed. The chicken is much more well done and doesn't seem to be the same quality as before and there is less of it. My orders have had errors the last three times and since it's take-out and wrapped in a white plastic bag I would have to untie it to check the order. Too much work for this old man. Anyway. One time I ordered no tomatoes, and they loaded it with tomatoes. Another time I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez and it didn't have the tortilla strips. Tonight, I ordered it and when I got home, I realized the salad dressing was not the pineapple mango vinaigrette that everyone loves. I called and was told I did get the correct dressing but that they changed the recipe. So, it looks like Thunderbird II and Kyle Schwarber are a lot alike. That's three strikes and your out!! read more

Reviews for me mean a place has done something REALLY good or REALLY bad. This restaurant has done the former! I have ordered from this restaurant once before, but this time it's worth shouting to the rooftops how good this place really is! I ordered the T-bird fries. I am a big fan of fries AND hot sauce so it sounded fantastic when I came across a menu item that had both, as well as chicken, ranch dressing and cheese! Delicious and a meal in itself! What really brought me on yelp to write was the tossed salad! 'What?!' you may say. Well I've eaten salads from many restaurants and I'm impressed with this one. The lettuce (not just iceberg, romaine too!) was chopped to bite-size pieces. There was hard-boiled egg, multi-grain croutons, roasted red peppers, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, sliced olives, chopped red onion... and I'm sure I'm missing something but the key word here is CHOPPED! They actually seem to care and take the time to prepare something as simple as a salad to the highest quality. If they do that with their salads, I can only imagine how the rest of the menu is prepared! Go here! You won't regret it! read more

Great pizza, salads and wings. The dirty special is a favorite here. They have a lot of great and creative salads and different sides than most pizza places. Delivery is prompt and friendly too read more

First time trying this place today. Pizza is good. Sauce is a little sweet for me, but I would buy it again. I also ordered a turkey hoagie. It was 12pm and I saw boxes from Corpolese right outside so figured they just got their rolls. Ordered a turkey hoagie on a seeded roll. The roll was hard as a rock and it was loaded with mayo. Gross! They use turkey breast, but that didn't tAste too fresh either. Won't buy another sandwich here. Total for pizza and hoagie was $19. Not baD considering a pay $19 for just a pizza at my regular place. read more

ThunderbirdII salads are great, especially the Speedy Gonzales, but their Chicken cheesesteaks are severely skimpy. Upon receipt I thought the sandwich felt light... only to confirm after scraping all of the sandwich contents into a bowl that chicken+mushrooms+onions= 5.4 ounces. That's lame by any standard. read more

Maybe odd to mention when rating a pizza joint, but they have the best salads around! My husband and I order from here once, sometimes twice, a week. (P.S. All their other stuff is really good too!) read more

Very disappointing. Visiting from Maryland. Was really looking forward to a good Cheesestake. Phoned in an order for my family. The guy repeated it correctly. I went to pick it up and the guy behind the counter repeated the order correctly again. I got home and opened up and found that it was totally wrong. I called back to complain and all I got was "Yeah and". Lousy customer service and very disappointing. PS. If I had gone to Leo's in Sharon Hill the order and service would have been right read more

Really good catering options! Wraps and sandwiches always look great and taste good - I recommend!

Great pizza shop. Steaks, hoagies, chicken fingers, and the usual menu stuff is always good. Recommend meatball grinder. But what they do for 5 stars is SALAD! Yup, a pizza shop with outstanding salad. Constantly coming up with new ideas and now they will take their salad and make it into a wrap for you. California BBQ is a big hit at my house, Berry nut, coconut shrimp also gets rave reviews. They also do a fantastic job of catering parties. Give them a try! read more

Good salads, got the speedy Gonzalez salad. Good portion for the price. Buffalo chicken wrap was good as well.

I've been ordering from Thunderbird my whole life. The staff are tremendous and the food is awesome. They have the BEST hot sauce I've ever tasted. You could literally put it on anything. Pizza is amazing. Cheesesteaks are great. Hoagies quality. And although I don't eat them, I hear the salads are incredible. Definitely eat here. read more

Huge fans of Thunderbird..... From their pizzas to the chicken fingers to the humongous salads and everything in between..the food just always hits the spot at this neighborhood spot! We order from here every Saturday. Another plus: it's nice to see a close-knit bunch of workers having fun - even when it's crazy. read more

Speedy Gonzales salad was delicious! I loved the Mango Pineapple Vinaigrette - it wasn't too sweet or fruit but so good. I thought the salad itself was a decent size and definitely left me content. My only complaint would be there was not a lot of crispy chicken on it, I could have used a lot more. Other than that it was awesome and I can't wait to try other food from there! read more

Great service, great selection, great taste. From the unbelievable taste of the dirty pie to the chicken tenders, cheese steaks, and pizza. We order from there about 2-4 times a month. Every time we order, we try something new and different on the menu. The salad selection is amazing and very healthy choices available. They have delivery, uber eats, online ordering, and of course pick up. Try it and enjoy! read more

Haven't ordered from here in years but today decided to order pizza and a salad. Both were very very good and the customer service was outstanding. Definitely will be my go to place. I wonder how the cheese steaks are. read more

Good local pizza place. Huge menu with lots of pie choices and wings, wraps, salads, etc etc. Love the cheesesteak rolls, and that you can order online! Wish they had different flavors of wings, only one flavor/spice level. Solid place, lots to try. read more

I just moved to the area. I had the pizza for the first time and it was delicious. Definitely will go back and recommend going there.

Tried Thunderbird pizza 2 since we had just gotten a menu. Figured why not had it functions before but figured I'd give them a try on my own delivery experience. Well.... I wouldn't try them again there about a 10 min drive away . Took an hr and half . The blue cheese was congealed and hot , the celery also hot wasn't wrapped either. Not crispy at all in fact you can tell by the picture it was very flexible. Pizza wasn't great but not the worst . The menu is going in the trash. read more

The pizza here is garbage. If you order thin crust, the crust tastes like a saltine cracker and is so soggy the crust can't even support the rest of the ingredients. The normal crust is the thick oily pan pizza you typical of Delaware County. read more
