I have always had an excellent experience getting fitted with Club Champion staff. I got fitted for…read morethe second time last month. The first time was 8 years ago, then I came back for irons only - so I told myself, yea ok. The first time, I was fit for a full bag. The most recent time, I was fit for irons, driver, and wedges. Nick Chandler did an excellent job for what I needed. The irons are a big improvement, the wedges have just arrived and I'm adapting and seeing progress. The driver I have had in the bag for about a month now, works better then what I had. My swing is not consistent, as I would like, I need to work on that a bit more. The dispersion is a lot less than my previous driver and has gone a lot longer than my previous driver. Nick understood the fitting process very well and did not try to push me into anything that I was not content using - he always sought feedback from the client. Nick provided a lot of insight to his thorough process and decision making when explaining why he was proposing selected equipment. He took his time, worked the best options to meet the customers' needs. Should you be budget conscious - let your fitter know before they start the fitting. You have to give the equipment a chance to be integrated into your bag. Spend some time at the range dialing it in. The issue I had was it takes a while for the new equipment to arrive, so get ready to wait a bit. I would highly recommend Nick Chandler for your next golf fitting.

It was a week day so I was working and the guy basically rushed me through the entire process. I asked him questions and his response was "I can't help you with that". What a waste of time and money. On top of that I should have got an email of the details and I received nothing. Waste of time, waste of money. The fitter basically bragged about how good he was at golf the entire time.

I was invited to come as a guest, so I can't speak as a paying member. The club was incredible: I…read morespent most of my time watching the giraffes. They also had monkeys, a petting zoo, flamingos, exotic birds, penguins.... I might have missed some there were just so many. The kids arcade was cool because it's essentially free play. There was also a bowling alley and it looked like a water slide but it was closed that day. Tennis courts everywhere and pickleball courts too. I didn't see the gym. The food they offered wasn't the greatest for how much they charge but I didn't pay for anything so maybe it was just the food that they provided that was mediocre. We did ask the staff to cook the pizza some more as it was kind of undercooked and doughy and the staff was extremely nice and didn't have a problem helping us out. I spoke to one of the members while I was relaxing in the patio area and he was telling me about all of the events for members that are free with the membership. Really cool place.

The vents are lined with mold. Most of the lockers rarely work. The carpet may be from when they opened. It's super matted, stained and disgusting. To top it off the sign for westside is dirty. They do an amazing job taking care of all the animals. Matter a fact the animals enclosure are cleaned daily but and they even got new penguins. But they have yet to even redo the women's locker room. To add the indoor hot tub, cold plunge area was redone but is rarely cleaned. There is still grime around the poles and it's generally sopping wet in there with hairs and dirt everywhere. It's unhygienic and unsanitary. Westside please do better. The gym has everything you need. However as far as maintenance of areas and cleanliness it's a 1-Star. Who what's yoninhsle mood while showering. And the cold plunge and hot tub area/pools still reeks of mold. So they may have redone the area but whatever they did did not remove the mold smell that sticks to your body when utilizing the indoor hot tub and indoor cold plunge. Maybe it needs new piping and better extreme ventilation.

We booked the group buffet and had a great time bringing out our competitive spirit. The food was pretty decent, and I especially loved their drinks menu--there are plenty of options to choose from. The service deserves a special mention. The staff was attentive throughout our visit, regularly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better. The venue is spacious, well-organized, and perfect for groups. The second time, I visited with my family and friends, and we had just as much fun trying out the different games. If you're planning to visit, try going before 11 a.m. or 12 p.m., as they often have discounted rates during that time, making it an even better value. Overall, it's a fantastic place to spend a few hours with friends, family, or coworkers. Definitely worth a visit!

When we approached the desk, we were told we'd get a text when our section was ready. At 4:15pm, I had my friend go back to the desk and that's when they sent us up, never acknowledging that we never received a text message. When we settled in, our waitress came over with some menus and walked us through the process. She made sure to let us know our time had already begun, despite the fact that we were waiting downstairs for the text message to give us the green light to head up. Despite all that, we had a great time and played several games. Definitely can't wait to go back!

The counter service keeps things moving while the food speaks for itself. The brisket was exactly what you'd hope for: a pronounced bark, a rendered fat cap, and slices that held together until they were pulled apart. The surprise for me was the brisket taco. Instead of feeling like a gimmick, it showcased the meat in a different way, balancing smoke, richness, and fresh toppings without masking the brisket. Good barbecue restaurants know their sides matter just as much as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy, the sausage had a satisfying snap, and the house barbecue sauce complemented rather than covered the smoke. If you're visiting Houston, this is the kind of place that reminds you why Texas barbecue has earned its reputation. Efficient counter service, excellent brisket, and enough menu variety to keep you coming back.

We enjoyed the food though. I did not like the pulled pork taco, maybe because it got soggy. I would like to try some other items and also their dessert.
