    Fresh sugar cane juice

DiamondBoyz Pickleball is a really nice facility! Owned by Johnny Dang, you know this place has to live up to his high standards. There are 9 professional looking courts with plenty of space around them, 1/2 a court that is facing a wall just for practice, golf simulator, bar, rest areas, and more. I came here for the soft opening and it was crowded, but relatively organized. The earlier you come, the less crowded it will generally be. I'd come back again for sure! I'd say the only downside is the location if you're not on this west side of town. It's worth the drive though because the overall skill level is pretty high if you're looking for fun, competitive games. 10/10 would recommend their fresh sugar cane juice as well, enjoy!

Great pickleball courts, has a dining area in the back, full service bar. The night I came, maybe the bartender wasnt there because the gentleman making the drinks needed some coaching. He was pleasant and open to feedback. We laughed, played hard and even met 'Coach Louis', one of the patrons that plays professionally. He gave my group some pointers and basically was our ref during our matches. The staff was attentive, warm and welcoming! We had an amazing time here!!!

A fun place to play pickleball in Houston! They have a table in the middle to 'paddle up' to do open play. This setup worked well for today but could get complicated as this place gets more popular. It was a fun atmosphere with music, a bar, and a golf simulator. Getting a more robust paddling up system and clearer places to get water would level this place up.

The Pickle Lab is the newest addition to the lineup of pickleball courts in town. Located in the Ion innovation area near Wheeler station, it's conveniently located for midtown/med center residents. You can reserve online - pricing is cheaper compared to most places in town. Parking is free in the adjacent lot for the first three hours. They have four outdoor courts and two indoor courts that are smaller. We chose to play outside and it was just our group and one other group playing. The nice girl who works there said most of their clientele are employees at the ion building and Rice students - both get 20% off. I think they're also super new that no one really knows they're there. The courts outside are nice and well lit at night. Only downside is they don't offer food. I wish they had at least a vending machine for snacks, however I believe they allow you to bring snacks in. They have free filtered water inside also. I guess you could also grab food across the street at one of the restaurants after playing. Overall as far as pickleball courts go it's a nice spot if you're strictly there to just play with friends without having to wait for your turn at a park. If you're looking for a court/restaurant/bar situation this is not it unfortunately. That being said we will be back for a few rounds of good old pickleball for sure!

This…read moreplace is a complete disaster, hiding behind a nice location and slick marketing while delivering some of the worst customer service and member experience you'll find in the city. The communication is abysmal, particularly from Sarah and Alicia, who are repeatedly unresponsive and unhelpful. Emails go ignored, questions are dodged, and if you do finally get a reply, it's vague and often inaccurate. They don't follow up, they don't follow through, and unless you ask five or six times, you will not get any clear answers or confirmations. You are constantly left chasing them down just to get the most basic information. To make matters worse, they will charge you whatever they want, whenever they want, without warning, explanation, or approval. You won't be notified of fees or changes unless you hunt them down to ask. If you're offered a credit, promo, or adjustment, take a screenshot and save every email, because they certainly won't help you figure anything out after the fact. Once you've signed up, you're on your own. Bijan is somewhat more communicative, but not enough to make up for the chaos. There's clearly no leadership or accountability here -- it feels like a group project where no one knows what their role is, and no one really cares. Facility-wise, it's barely above average. Courts are often overbooked, the gym space is mediocre, and amenities are inconsistently maintained. You're paying premium rates for a second-rate experience across the board. Bottom line: The Downtown Met is a textbook case of mismanagement and indifference. For a place that calls itself a "premier fitness and tennis club," it operates more like a poorly run pop-up gym with no structure or respect for its members. Look elsewhere, literally anywhere else would be a better use of your time and money.
