Went for happy hour and loved the pork belly and boneless wings so much!! Service was fast as well and there was plenty of seating when we went.
Thrive continues to impress after being open for many years. I especially love their colorful drink menu showing what goes in each cocktail. Their menu is small plates. Yes they are expensive. But the interior is beautiful, service is always outstanding, and the food has unique twists....Worth it I especially love the crisp rice bites and slider menu. Perfect stop with friends before heading out for the night. It gets too loud on a weekend night for a date but during the week it would make a great date night destination. They wouldn't be my go-to for sushi, but it's not bad either. The only small suggestion I'd love to see, is adding a rotating special cocktail to the happy hour menu. The happy hour drink list is very unimpressive given the normal drink menu
This is a VERY cute spot Downtown Orlando. I usually park in the parking garage across from the fire station and walk over. The place is beautifully decorated with greenery and modern furniture. I've been here both for brunch and dinner. The drink menu is so unique. The diagrams show you the contents of the drink in a legend kind of style and every drink I've had here is delicious. The waitstaff is attentive and the bartenders are skilled. My favorite item is the Double Play sushi entree. The chef, like the other staff, knows what hes doing back there! The food comes out hot and perfectly crispy. This is a great place for brunch/dinner with friends or as a date night.
This place is truly one of my all time favorites. I can honestly say there hasn't been a single visit where the food disappointed. The ambiance is always on point great vibe, perfect for a fun dinner or date night. This time we tried several dishes and every single one delivered. The Your Highness is an absolute must. You cannot skip it. It's that good. We also had the Mr. Rice Guy, crispy sushi rice topped with tuna and avocado, and it was delicious, perfectly textured and flavorful. The Drunken Belly remains one of my forever favorites. The flavor on those pork belly bites is just out of this world. And for the first time, we tried the Pineapple Express, and I loved the combination of sweetness with the serrano cream cheese. Such a good balance. Service could have been a little better this visit, but the food was so incredible it honestly didn't take away from the experience. Still a five star spot for me, every time.
We went here before going to a play at Dr. Phillips, super walkable. The restaurant is clean and has all of the vibes. Our server was prompt and food came out very quickly. The only food we got that we weren't crazy about was the pork belly. I think it could be crispier. Highly recommend everything else and loved the mocktails we ordered too.
Thrive Cocktail Lounge is a relatively new spot in downtown Orlando, and it absolutely delivers on atmosphere. The interior is visually stunning--modern, intentional, and clearly designed to feel like an experience, not just a place to grab a drink. The cocktails are where Thrive really separates itself. This is artisanal mixology done with confidence. You can tell there's real experience behind the bar--thoughtful flavor combinations, balanced pours, and drinks that feel crafted rather than rushed or trendy for the sake of it. Overall, Thrive feels like a place that knows exactly what it wants to be: stylish, polished, and elevated without feeling pretentious. If you're looking for a downtown cocktail spot that brings both aesthetics and substance, this one is worth checking out.
Visited thrive for a small bite and my fiancé birthday celebration. It was pretty busy outside the restaurant, inside the restaurant was civilized lol.. Upon entrance we greeted and seated immediately. We advised our waitress Brittney of allergies, and I would like to thank Jay(chef) and Brittney(waitress) for their amazing, attentive and careful service to my fiancé and I. My fiancé is allergic to sesame seeds and they both made special accommodations for him. Jay cooked every dish separately to avoid cross contamination. He was able to get dumplings, wangz with sauce on the side (for me). Crab and cream cheese rangoonies and I got the burger sliders. The food was great, everything was fresh, tasty and on point. The music was also good 2000s music, jamming while eating good food. I will definitely visit again and ask for Brittney. 10/10
Went to Thrive Cocktail Lounge & Eatery to celebrate my birthday with my neighbor Victoria and had an amazing brunch experience. There's no street parking, so we paid $15 for 3 hours at a lot up the street. I highly recommend making reservations, especially on weekends. We went early to beat the crowd. Our waitress Mia was great very friendly and attentive. We started with waters and a few shots, then ordered several tapas-style dishes to share: Up To Dumpling, Breakfast Bao's, Let's Have A Toast (VG), and Takes Two To Mango*. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For dessert, we had Can't Go Wrong, which was the perfect way to end the meal. The drinks were good, the food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Overall, a great spot for brunch and special occasions!
Perfect spot right near the Dr. Phillips Center--we stopped in after a show and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the food was impeccable, and the drinks were just as good. Such a cute atmosphere, too. Definitely worth a visit!
So good!! Decided to stop in before going to see a show at the Dr. Phillips Center. This place is walking distance from the theatre and is absolutely beautiful. Great use of space, plants everywhere, and tastefully decorated for the holidays. I was impressed walking in at how they transformed such a small space into a symbol of their mission of natural and sustainable foods. Speaking of food, this place is a tapas restaurant. The drinks are also hand crafted with attention paid to each ingredient. The menu is extensive but worthy of the time to go over to ensure you get a good mix of Items. Oh, and the staff is incredible!! Great recommendations and energy. There were three of us and we had about an hour and a half to kill so we grabbed drinks and about 5 plates to share. The cocktails were delicious and came quickly. The food was equally delicious. The pork belly was my favorite. There is rice in the bowl, so dig deep when dishing. The wings were pretty good, but not as crispy as I'd expected for being double fried. Great flavor though. The sliders were good, but very much a standard mushroom take. Not pictured are the bap buns which come two to an order and are amazing, and the noodles which were also a delight. Overall, Thrive lives up to the hype. 9/10 would recommend and can't wait to go back!
Stopped in for a late bite after a night downtown. We noticed they were pretty busy, especially for a Wednesday so we took that as a good sign. Upon entry we were greeted by a nice gentleman and seated at one of their booths facing the bar, which we liked because we were able to see the tvs. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance is earthy and trendy. They played great music and our server was kind and attentive. They have a pretty extensive menu selection so we ordered a variety of dishes to share. They are a little on the pricier side and in our opinion the food was just okay. The flavor of a few of the items like the wings and noodles weren't what we were expecting- not to say it was outright bad but just off. The sliders were decent, and the wontons/potstickers were pretty bland but we still ate them. Would we return? Possibly on another random night out downtown to try some of their other dishes and drinks.
Thrive was good, but something about it just doesn't want to make me return. I didn't hate it by any means, but nothing had a wow factor with flavor. Visually stunning, but empty flavors. Service was impeccable though as the waiter had lots of recommendations and was spot on with drink refills and seeing if we needed anything. The sushi offerings were probably the best things. The fish was fresh and presented nicely on ice. The Crispy Rice was just ok and the boneless wings were so chewy I had to spit them out. The sauce was good though... lol They have some interesting drink combinations too, but again, they looked amazing but fell flat. It makes me understand that Simpsons episode where Bart makes Manhattans for the Mafia Boss ("What have I done to deserve this flat, flavorless Manhattan?). They have something going for them as it was crowded and trendy, but I go for great food and drinks over atmosphere and service, and Thrive just didn't hit the mark on the first 2. They nailed the last 2 though.
Absolutely amazing! From the immediate greeting upon arrival to the service by our waitress, it was awesome. The Fire Fries were crispy and soft on the inside. It was almost like a french fry sushi roll, very delicious. The Bonito flakes were cool as they sort of swayed as if they were alive, due to the heat of the fries. Creepy to my friends lol. The Double Play shrimp was perfectly seasoned and crunchy; the Big Shrimpin' roll with the tempura flakes + spicy mayo *chefs kiss* The dumplings were so good, short rib inside was tender and juicy. I definitely would return!

What a great find? The ambiance was a bit loud for a business dinner, but it was chic! The service was a bit slow, but they were busy and SUPER friendly, which well made up for it. CALI! You're the best! Your cocktails were amazing! The food was just perfect. From presentation to flavor... I couldnt have asked for anything more. I wish I lived here.... But I'll be back! read more

I want to say that I truly enjoyed the ambience/atmosphere. Great music was being played. The bar was lively aesthetically it looked pleasing (they should hang small lights on the back wall it's a little dark) very cute enjoyed it very much. I will say if you're on a date, you may want to sit close to each other because the DJ can be a bit loud but it's very enjoyable. I ordered the blackened shrimp and grits. The shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The grits had tomato bacon and cheese in it. The top of the Ritz, where the shrimp tomato and bacon were was perfect because that blackening seasoning got on to the grits so the flavors were amazing. But towards the bottom, there was no seasoning at all. We also had the biscuits with a house made jam. The biscuits were light fluffy. Very delicious. I believe made from scratch because that's what they looked like I did not enjoy that housemate jam. It just wasn't for me but if you add butter and jelly to the biscuits, it's perfect. My friend got the chicken and waffles. I will say for the price I believe that the portion was a bit small. The waffle is about the size of an Eggo waffle that you get frozen. But the chicken was cooked very well. Nice and crispy. Good seasoning so all in all the meal was enjoyable. I also got a drink and I don't remember what it was but it was good lol. Very good food. Wonderful experienced bartender. It is downtown so parking is a nuisance but doable. When you walk in there are 7 booths, 2 tables and a long bar. The restaurant wraps around and there is more. We had the short rib potstickers and a delicious sushi roll. We ordered some drinks and we're in awe. If you're visiting downtown Orlando, you have to stop by Thrive and enjoy a night of cocktails and great tapas to share with two of the best bartenders. I've been helped with in a while, Ashanna and Cali. They were both great hosts with excellent conversation and banter that my party enjoyed. Ashanna makes a wonderful espresso martini with a special little twist. That will have you ordering two or three more. I appreciate that the place had a great balance between a more modern field and greenery in the space to live in it up. There was also sounds of Kaytranada and Masego on the Soundsystem that wasn't too loud but clear enough to dance in your seat between bites. Highly recommended to start your night next time you visit downtown. read more

First time here and I'm impressed- they've got a host counter where you need to check in for seats while bar counter is first come first serve. I ordered the Mojito which is $8 during their happy hour- the ambiance of Thrive is very natural and chill vibes. Zach ordered a Spooky Sipper drink! My mojito is in a chilled glass with lots of mint and a rum that is light- I absolutely love it. Zach's Spooky Sipper is- The overall look of thrive is very natural. They've got hanging plants from the ceiling and exposed brick in the building. The countertop of the bar looks like concrete mixed with green glass. There's a mirrored backdrop to some of the sat down seats along the right wall. 10/10 definitely recommend This bar is a little bit more upscale then the other ones off of the street. read more
Came here at about 6 pm on a Tuesday and luckily scored two seats at the bar; definitely call ahead and get a reservation for any party over two people. Very laidback yet classy atmosphere, and Shauna at the bar was literally the best and provided excellent customer service! My dad ordered roughly 4 or 5 old fashions, but he drank them before I could even snag a picture. Meanwhile, I had three of the Tom Collin's and felt quite amazing afterward lol Everything we ate and drank was fabulous and Thrive is definitely my new favorite spot downtown! The food and service were good but I'm not sure I understand the concept. Again, don't get me wrong the food and cocktails were great (minus the salad), but I'm not sure it quite works or fits in the location. At quick glance, the ambiance and decor would seem that the menu consists of modern American/farm to table options... however, it was sushi, asian fusion, and sliders with tacky names (i.e. "up to dumpling" = short rib gyoza) We were here on a Saturday night for a small dinner before a show at the Amway (at 5:30pm) and it was already packed and only became busier as we dinner went on. To eat we had the short rib gyoza, tuna tartare, salad, and spicy tuna. All were good minus the salad. It was over dressed and had too much salt and ginger. I would come back for the cocktails/happy hour. read more
I loved my drink so much! I ordered the mojito and it was so full of taste and flavor. My boyfriend ordered the espresso martini which was also really good! We made it in time for happy hour and ordered from the happy hour menu which provided a lot of options. I think that the regular prices were pretty steep for what the items were but the happy hour was made the prices standard. The pork belly over sushi rice was my favorite. My boyfriend liked the taste of the wings the most. Our waitress was awesome and everything came out really quickly. I liked that the decor included a lot of plants. We parked in the parking garage and paid 2 dollars for an hour! It was a short walk. read more
This place we came to on a whim and omg boy did we hit the jackpot! This place is a whole vibe! With the music, brunch and just the environment it was everything. Since we just did a walk in we were able to sit at the bar which we had access to the full menu. I ordered the avocado toast which normally I don't with a latte and OMG the cook in that kitchen nailed it! Brunch was so good and the menu has cute names tailored to the food items! I will be back because they had sushi items and other food items I wanted to try but since it was brunch time I stuck with brunch food! I love when I find hidden gems where the food be delicious! Service was pretty good too! The servers were very attentive and quick! Next time we will definitely book a reservation so we can get a booth spot! Atmosphere is 10/10! Drinks are AMAZING. I love the design of the menu. It's nice to see what/how much is in each drink. These cocktails are truly hand crafted to perfection. The bartenders are always welcoming and Ive let a few of them "freestyle" some drinks on me before and they all have came out great. This time we we got pear pressure and highway strobbery. Fire fries were quick and hot. The music and vibe here is always on point making it my go to everytime I go downtown. read more

I came to Thrive for brunch on a Sunday with friends and it was overall a great experience. We sat at the bar and order some matcha coffee drinks which were delicious. Pictured I had the big kids meal which was delicious and a lot of food! I definitely could not finish it. My friend got the chicken and waffles and another friend got the avocado toast with a side of eggs not pictured. The service was good and the ambiance was really chill. I definitely would like to go back to try their dinner menu and cocktails. read more

The food and drinks here were very unique and definitely shareable. We came here before a concert at the Kia Center and got a few different things to share. Service was great even as things got busy. The burata app (cheesy does it) was good, although I didn't love the pepper jam. The mushrooms (Wild Shrooms) were delicious. The Small, Dark & Handsome sliders we got made with the impossible meat and honestly I was shocked at how good the patty was. I did feel like they lacked a little of the toppings that were listed and wanted a bit more of the cheese and berries, but they were still very good. I did regret getting the your highness sushi roll. It was very large and honestly I didn't feel all the flavors went well together. After a few bites I just couldn't continue and let my partner finish. As for the drinks, they had a lot of unique cocktails, many that had just too many liquors that I don't like so after the first one I switched to vodka sodas. The first one I had was the put a ring on it which was sweet but good. They do make many of the ingredients in house which I liked, and seeing them craft all the drinks was awesome. My partner liked his drinks and tried many different ones, I'm just not big on bourbons, whiskeys, or mezcal, which I felt was in many of their drinks. We don't go downtown too often, but I hope to go back and try their brunch which I've heard is also very good. read more

Loved the ambience of this restaurant. From the decor to bar set up to just overall experience, I would definitely return. I was taken on a date so can't recall all the names of the dishes however the drink ordered 3x was the Smashing Baby, it was so refreshing & delicious. There was calamari, Mochi Wingz and Drunken Belly (the short rib was so juicy and tender, it was so tasty). Our waitress was okay, would have been a bit better had she given us better attention which happened towards the end of our service but overall, love this restaurant and the greenery. read more
Cute and intimate cocktail bar with creative and fun appetizers. The servers are all friendly and efficient. They have a great happy hour. We loved the pork belly, cucumbers, and the shrimp roll. They were mostly app portions, but there were options to make more of a meal of it, like the noodle dish The Mr rice was not great in my opinion. Thrive never disappoints! I have been here at least a dozen times, and the food is always up to par. Mr. Rice guy and the Mochi Wangz are my favorite. But I believe you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. read more

I had never been here before and was nervous about the small plates but was absolutely blown away. Our server Brendan was beyond incredible. He was very kind, personable, and insanely knowledgable about everything on the menu. He described the food and drinks in such great detail and explained everything so well. He suggested two drink recommendations which were absolutely wonderful and the Strawberry Fields drink is my new favorite. The food was incredible and came out very fast. My favorites were the wings and the cucumber salad. This place is one of my new favorite spots. It is super clean and cute, the service was immaculate, and the food and drinks are unbeatable. We will absolutely be coming back! read more

Oh my gosh what a fun place. First of all the interior is stunning with the many plants all over the place making it feel airy. The food was also fantastic and I can't wait to go back and have more things! Our server was very patient and kind as we came in with a 10pm reservation. I definitely would recommend and cannot wait to go back to try it again, hopefully with an earlier reservation next time. read more

We enjoyed our evening at this restaurant. Abby is a fantastic server who made you feel really welcomed. Our food overall was good. The quality of the ingredients were high quality. Came here as one of my friends visiting from California recommended from Tik Tok. The ambiance was really nice a lot of plants around and the music was really good. When we arrived we did not have a reservation but the place was almost empty, server said let me see if we have space for you. Found it so weird since there were barely anyone there we came for brunch on a Saturday. The food was alright. We ate the avocado toast and the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was my favorite part. The chicken was suppose to be spicy but it wasn't. I would give this place a try again maybe for dinner. read more
Like many bars in downtown Orlando, Thrive also provides pretty good food. However in my opinion, Thrive is exceptional at this. My first couple of visits, I never ordered food until a friend suggested that they have some pretty delicious options, and they were right. Sunday is a vibe at Thrive. They play a great mix of music that sets the perfect tone for a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere. The crowd is chill, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. The DJ is awesome, consistently playing songs that keep the energy up without being overwhelming allowing you to still hold conversations. I believe they also serve brunch on Sundays, which is a great addition to their offerings. Whether you're there to catch a game or just to hang out, Thrive provides a comfortable setting to do so. The drinks at Thrive are always really good. The bartenders know their stuff and can whip up just about anything you want. When it comes to food, Thrive doesn't disappoint. A couple of my favorite items are the wings, which are always perfectly cooked and flavorful, the sushi rolls, which are fresh and delicious, and the sliders, which are the perfect bite-sized indulgence. Service here, in my experience, has always been quick and attentive. The staff is friendly and makes sure you're taken care of, whether you're there for a meal or just drinks. If you want to catch a vibe, go to Thrive. It's the perfect spot for a laid-back Sunday or any day I would imagine with good music, great food, and an awesome atmosphere. read more
Great ambiance and incredibly helpful bar staff with good happy hour deals. I was initially disappointed when I got the dumplings as they were steamed and I prefer a little pan frying. But the bottom is seared and soaking in the soy sauce. I'm a fan! The Send Noodz noodles with garlic brown butter was great but the addition of strip steak made them next level. The steak was charred perfectly and added a good complement to the noodles. I could have eaten 3 of these. Put this place on the short list for dinner and drinks! read more

This restaurant can be missed if your driving by and paying attention to the road lol, but you can find parking near-by and walk over with no issues. On our most recent visit, we sat by the bar since reservations were needed for regular seating. I tried 2 different drinks and ordered the truffle bag boys with the impossible burger - the sliders were delicious! The first drink was 'beet the heat' and this tasted kind of like a beet juice smoothy with alcohol and was not for me lol. The second was more my vibe - juicy j which seemed like a twist on the classic daiquiri and did quench my thirst. The bar tender also provided great customer service and had our drinks ready with the quickness. Check this place out! read more
