Whatever got loose jammed the latch assembly such that no matter which direction I turned the knob I could not get the latch assembly to retract. Consequently, the door was locked in the closed direction with no way to get into the bathroom. I called One Stop Rooftop and spoke to Paul explaining the problem I had. He sent Marty and Kai and in 5 minutes he had the door open by loosening the trim enough to slide a flat bar and un-engage the latch assembly. Marty knew what he was doing and had everything restored back to normal and caulked all the gaps. What a wonderful, quick, and straight to the cause of the problem. Based on those reviews, I decided to contact the company to ask about masonry work. On Saturday, August 1, I called and spoke with the owner, Siaosi, who also goes by George. He told me his company mainly does masonry. We scheduled an appointment for Wednesday, and he asked me to text him with my address. I did so and asked him to acknowledge that he received it, but I never received a response. On Monday, August 3, I called to confirm the appointment. He told me again to text him with the address. I explained that I had already sent it. He then said, "I'm going to hang up now. I will check it." The next day, August 4, he called me, but I missed the call. When I called back, he said his name is George. I asked whether he had called me, and he said he was not sure and that it may have been a pocket call. When I asked what company he was calling from, he hung up on me. On Wednesday, August 5, he called again asking for my address and said he was already in my area. Since I had spoken with him several times, I recognized his voice and mentioned that someone named George had hung up on me the day before. He said George is his English name. He then yelled that he does not check text messages on Saturday and screamed, "Do you still want the service or not?" I found the tone and behavior unprofessional, so I ended the call. He called back again afterward. Overall, my experience was very disappointing. The communication was inconsistent, the appointment was not properly confirmed, and the phone interactions made me uncomfortable. Based on this experience, I would not hire this company. I also question how reliable the five-star ratings are, because my experience did not match the positive reviews I saw online.

Jimmy actually finished the job early even with additional change that I requested last minute. He also does the work all himself and I am very impressed with that. He also ensures to secure the area before working (ie. cones, secures vehicle tire, etc.). He is very clean and helped to put things back in place after construction. The job we requested was to secure our huge swinging gate (he replaced hinges and created a platform for the gate to rest on when open), replace 4 rusted poles and raise the foot so water couldn't get to it, and add two more poles to help support the roof. Absolutely amazing work. Father and daughter team work together as the father (the worker) speaks very little English. She translates for him and if she is not on the job site, she is only a phone call or text away. She answers immediately. (Incidentally, I didn't have to use this option except when it was time to pay; I didn't want him to leave before I paid him.). And the father is the hardest worker I have ever seen. He takes no breaks, just works continuously. And very solid, quality work, too! I could not be more pleased with the final repair job. If I could give (6) stars, I would!

The hand rails for the steps are definitely sturdy and well constructed but home health pointed out the gap between the two base of the rail was too wide. Someone could slip under the rail and off the steps. Feina did ask if I wanted one or two rails during the estimate but I didn't know why - so I said one.
