We came here on a whim for food. The restaurant is DIRTY. I ordered and proceeded to use the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting!! Worst I've ever seen, especially for a restaurant. I don't think the bathroom had been cleaned in weeks.. maybe months. It was hard to stomach the food after using the bathroom and seeing how much of a mess the dining area was. Ketchup bottles had dust on them, napkin dispenser caked with dirt, etc. This wasn't a result of a busy day in the restaurant -- but neglect to clean over a period of time. For peanut butter lovers, the fluffernutter was the best!! The dirty garden mint tastes like mint leaves straight from the garden steeped in sweet cream with dark chocolate Fireworks. I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I usually get the one scoop on a cone which is $3.50, so average priced for an ice cream shop. The flavors I would recommend are fluffer nutter (YUM! Nostalgia overload from pb+butter sandwiches in grade school), grandmas goodies, chocolate chip cookie dough (a classic), coconut almond joy, and cake batter (another classic). Maybe I'm just feeling generous or maybe it's a five star day, but Three Sisters has never disappointed me. I always think of it as an ice cream spot, which it is (and I really love their maple walnut and purple cow), but I always forget that they serve smoothies (not just the ice cream kind, but the spinach and healthy-things kind, too), as well as a full breakfast and lunch menu. For example, I asked what kind of candies are in the Maria callas, and the employee said pecans. My response was no, that's in the savannah socialite. I really want to like 3 sisters but I just don't. I've been a bunch of times over the years and I just can't get in the swing. I will say the ice cream is good but the small was served in such a small cup with so much ice cream that I couldn't scoop it and kept flinging pieces across the room. The rooms are also so small!. You walk in and if there's a line you stand awkward and in the other room the tables are so tiny and clustered I just feel overly hot and uncomfortable. There is no bad time of day to come here. I've come after lunch and took my ice cream down black stone boulevard. I've come in the evening and sat by the local park. On Saturday's, it definitely adds some pep in your step to enjoy the farmers market (across the street) and at night, enjoy the indoor cozy (cabin like?) atmosphere. I have never had a flavor I didn't like. Off the constant menu I love anything with Oreo. My all time fav is mint cookie (which I never found this flavor outside my local creamery in nj) or kulfi (Indian inspired-cardamom cinnamon) Last years seasonal star was pineapple basil sorbet. This summers star was Aztec chocolate (Dutch chocolate with cayenne and cinnamon) Also a pro tip is that their pints are less than 6 dollars! I had Three Sisters at my wedding at Hotel Providence on Sept 3 and they were sooo fantastic!! They brought their cart and two scoopers to the reception and we got to pick 6 flavors and 6 toppings. Of course it was a huge hit with our guests, but more than that the owner went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly - he stopped by the venue a few weeks beforehand to make sure the cart would fit through the doorways with no issues and showed up early in the morning the day of the wedding to make sure everything was set up and the ice cream had time to chill. On the recommendation of the server where we had brunch nearby, we headed here for a rest before heading down to the airport area. It was a great choice for homemade ice cream with a good variety of traditional flavors and their own parking lot. Though we did see some street paling about a block away if the lot is full. We got in during a lull and saw a substantial line form behind us but it moved quickly. The ice cream was very fresh and very tasty. Absolutely no freezer taste that I hate at many places. So fresh, it melted very quickly on a very warm day. Not an issue for me with a small size in a cup but a bit messy for my husband with two scoops balanced in a cone. My cookies and coffee was very heavy on the chocolate as there were chocolate flakes in addition to the pieces of chocolate and cream sandwich cookies, you know the kind. Many of the workers saw me and just decided not to take my order or ask me if I was ready to order... it was so strange, especially since I wasn't the only customer waiting! The worker who was clearly the manager didn't direct any of them to work the register or take any orders even when another group of customers entered the shop.
