At Three Littles, they let you load up a stroller with a weighted inert baby and push it around outside to get the feel of it. This has exceptional value: 1. I have never pushed a stroller before 2. The price of a stroller range from a minor purchase to exceeding one thousand of dollars... what do you get for your money?? You'll never figure this out by looking at them online or reading. You have to push it around a bit. ChatGPT will tell me? Nope. You have to try it out. 3. How do you collapse these things? Or extract out the detachable bassinet? Or put the second bassinet in there? They do not let you do this at Target or any other store we've been to. There was staff giving impromptu lectures on how they work, can they be carried onto a plane, do you have to gate check them, anything you'd want to know. Frankly, I have no idea how you'd make this purchase otherwise. Sure, maybe you're a baby-strolling veteran, and know all the latest, but I didn't. Same thing with car seats. Some swivel out and make it easy to extract your child. Others let you pop the bassinet out of the car seat and put it right on the stroller... but not all of them... and not all brands mix and match. I'm telling you... as a soon-to-be first-time dad, I left there so much more knowledgeable about how to approach this problem. I learned pitfalls, preferences, and, most importantly, what it feels like behind the wheel of a baby-moving contraption that seems on par with the Mars rover. read more

This mama powered shop is one of the few places in the District to purchase a well-curated collection of baby toys, books, and care items that won't make your eyes twitch. I am currently eyeing a mini bamboo shopping cart and Montessori inspired wooden calendar which is quite pricey...but now that I'm going to have two kids, it's basically half the price. I've been a customer of Three Littles since they first opened in Union Market, so this review is crazy overdue! First - I can't tell you how much joy this shop brings to DC. The family photo events, the crafts for kiddos, the reptile event! Not to mention the highly coveted uppababy stroller tuneups. Truly a place that is all about contributing to the community. Second - the toys etc that 3L sells are awesome. Not sure how Elizabeth, the owner, curates such a fun selection, but I have found original and beloved gifts for children aged babies to elementary school. She has toys available at all price points. My son loves the candy lab cars, the little wooden hotel, and the wooden golf set! He's eyeing the loog guitar for Christmas! Third - Elizabeth is such a special person. Boundlessly kind, here's a small sample of things she done for my family since we became customers: Delivered things to my house during Covid when I had a newborn! I have been coming to Three Littles for the last few years, and it isn't because it's the only store that has things for babies. It is because the owner, Elizabeth, is a wonderful member of the DC community and truly cares about her shop and all the families who come in. I posted a review (see image) more than a year ago, based on my experiences at the time with my online orders. Today, nearly 20 months after my last online order was placed, I received a notification that a comment had been added to my review. The comment suggests I left out context. I went to reach out to the business via Instagram (as that is how I'd previously communicated with the shop when discussing an order) hoping to explain that my review was more than a year old and clarify anything they believed I'd tried to withhold, but sometime in the past year they blocked me. (Image also included). I'm disappointed that they felt a review warranted that type of action. I'd like to address that the response to the review states I was refunded, and that is absolutely true. I was refunded for the incorrect towel that was eventually delivered. However, at the time my review was posted, it had not been refunded, so it was not intentionally excluded. I would never try to mislead potential customers by leaving out details of an issue. While I recognize it would have been helpful for me to come back and update the review to state I was refunded, we welcomed our first child shortly after, and my priorities at the time were diverted. I am not able to contact the business directly due to being blocked, but I do hope to convey that this was not intentional either. As my initial review states, they have beautiful products, and I stand by that! I certainly didn't leave a review stating "never go here" or "spend your money elsewhere" or anything else irrational or derogatory. Conversely, my review actually recommended that customers visit the store. My personal experience with online orders wasn't as positive as expected, but I don't think people should be discouraged from experiencing their shop or purchasing their lovely items. read more
