He took pictures and firebird the crowd dancing and displayed on a scree. Thought that was kind of cool. Bathroom was high tech and extremely clean! The actual name is a little confusing and I think located in an odd spot, but if you know the place, you'll return! Probably nice in summer with the outside patio. Great decor. During COVID this spot has been really accommodating and they have been taking great precautions. They did curb side pick up for me and brought the food right to my car, I didn't even need to step one foot outside my car! They also sell alcohol, We got a 6 pack of beer and a bottle of wine which paired well with our meal. Pre-COVID they also had live music and an outdoor patio which my family and I enjoyed very much! Their menu can be a bit confusing as they separate Chinese dishes from American, and there are just too many choices. For example, one of their most awesome dishes are the pork belly sliders, which you won't find until you're more than 1/2 way into the menu. Simplify that menu guys and I'll peg you as a 5-star restaurant. I'm for hire if you need a consultant :-). Nonetheless, service is great, beer is always cold, food is always excellent, and all within walking distance to home for me. Very cool, family-owned spot where there's something for everyone - whether you want asian food, american or just to have a drink at the bar, they've got you. The food has been on point every time I've gone, and the servers and staff are really friendly. I especially like coming here when it's nice out - they have a nice outdoor patio type area, great place to chill on some drinks and noms. Also, pro tip - takeout from here really comes in clutch for easy dinners after a long day at work! Everything's still warm when I bring it home, perfect for days where I don't want to cook! Great! Service was very nice and attentive. Food was excellent and fresh. Had the chicken lettuce wraps for app. Then had the chicken, shrimp and steak stir fry- served with white rice and ordered a side of plain Lomein. After reading recommendations from others on Facebook, we decided to try. We were in the mood for Chinese and most are closed around here. We did curbside pickup, and the girl even put the bags right in my trunk. They do Apple Pay too. I also found out that the owner is Tammy's brother. For those of you who are familiar with Hungs here in scotch plains, she's the former owner. The fried rice was just as good as Hungs, who in my opinion had the best fried rice! I highly recommend this place. They have a very varied menu, which is perfect for a family where everyone wants different kinds of food. They have burgers and other grill/pub food. I was super excited to try this place out but was really disappointed overall. I'll start off by saying that the Chinese food on this menu was really delicious and wonderful. This makes it even more disappointing but there were so many other things wrong with the service and place that night. Our evening started off really strong, we were seen it right away and there were so many choices on the menu that we were excited about. Our server was really nice too and even made some suggestions to us on the menu. We ordered a drink and a roll of sushi to start. My husband's beer came out skunked and had to send it back. I've never seen that happen at a restaurant before. The waiter apologized and was nice about it but that wasn't a great impression. The sushi was nothing that special, I wouldn't go here if you're looking for sushi, but it's a nice add-on if you just wanted as an appetizer. After appetizer our waiter seemed to disappear for awhile and although my husband and I were having a great time talking we quickly realized that it had been over 40 minutes and our main dishes had still not come out. We waited patiently for a bit longer and then finally saw our waiter who gestured to us and then went to the back to get our food. Starving we wanted to dig in right away and then noticed that my husband's Burger came without the cheese that he had ordered. Over 45 minutes and order was wrong, you almost had to laugh but he sent it back and it looks like they put it back on the grill for a little bit and put the cheese on top of it to get it back out in about 5 minutes. Kind of annoying because the whole point is us eating out together but I shared my plate with him and we got to eat together. He ended up taking most of the Burger home since we filled up on my meal. Then it came time to the check, which at this point being in the restaurant for a lot longer than we anticipated felt like forever. Oh and also the ketchup on the table was expired... Those details on top of just a simple "sorry about that" from the waiter really didn't make out for the overall experience that we had our first time here. Luv Three in One! Especially their variety of cuisines, even if you're the pickiest eater, you'll sure to find something you'd like. Of course there's times when they get a little crazy busy like any great restaurants, but their staff really try to make our visits wonderful every time, just be a little patience. They have live band some nights and we really like their modern and beautiful decor with the different dining rooms or sports bar areas. Second and last time I'll ever come here. Sucks because some of their food is actually really good. Ordered the sliders a while back without cheese due to a dairy intolerance. My sliders had bits of melted cheese on them- as if someone had put the cheese on, then attempted to pick it off after it had melted. Ugh. I picked off what I could and ate what parts I could eat. The burgers themselves were good, though, so I ordered them again tonight, again specifying NO CHEESE. All three came WITH CHEESE AND NO SAUCE. And this was despite the fact that the order sheet that came with the meal very clearly said NO CHEESE. So that's that. Also the sweet potato fries are nasty. read more

This was our second time getting takeout from this place. My wife can't eat cheese and both times ordered the slider app with no cheese. BOTH times they had cheese on them. This time she clearly said no cheese just the sauce. THE SLIP EVEN SAID NO CHEESE. The burgers had cheese and no sauce. Further more the wafflefries weren't cooked through and were limp. One of our party also had the General tso tofu and the sauce tasted watered down. Better off driving to a better bar and skipping this place that clearly can't take the time to cook their food right or observe someone's allergy. read more

Has dinner with my sister, my nephew and his girlfriend. Everything from appetizers to entree were delicious. The calamari was not greasy, lightly battered and tender. Dave and Cindy hit a home run. The wait was worth it. The renovated restaurant is elegant.I could tell that a lot of money was spent in the renovation. The expanded menu caters to different tastes and your mood the night you're there. I went there for Chinese food. The great taste I remembered was present in my meal.The portions were the same as pre-renovation. I am looking forward to the opening of the sushi bar. You can get bar food, steaks, pizza, and some Italian favorites. This is not TG. It's a different concept which includes TG. It's not a fortune cookie and tea restaurant. I want quality food. Last night I had quality food. I look forward to the time they resume takeout because I have been a take out regular at that restaurant for 25 years. I intend to try the patio bar and the main bar. The reason I keep going back is because I keep thinking, it will be less greasy this time. But I'm going to say, I've eaten their food dozens of times, and it is time to stop. I have been going to Three in One restaurant for a long time, even before their renovations. I was alway happy the food was always great. The past couple of times Has been very disappointing. The first time I ordered the rib combo, the ribs were dry , with no sauce as they usually have on them. So I chalked it up to maybe a new cook. Mistakenly I ordered them again and had my husband ask for extra sauce for the ribs, this was a take out order. OMG besides being dry again , they included a small container of cheap barbecue sauce. Well this is the last time for this customer, I will travel around and find another place. I guess turning into a "sports" bar , the owners are more concerned with the drinks menu than providing quality food. read more

Tried it out for the first time, had a burger, wife had chicken caesar salad. Burger was excellent and my wife said the salad was really good. Lots of TVs inside for sports on the casual side of the restaurant. Going to catch a hockey game there once the season kicks off and see how I like it. read more

We've lived in Colonia since 1999, this was always our favorite place to dine in or take-out. The Chinese food was always the best in town. Once Treasure Garden, now renamed with a diverse menu, exceptional renovations, decor that's really top shelf. Two Bars and lots of big screens to catch several Sports channels. The menu has selections to please every taste. I had the Lemon Chicken, perfectly flavored white sauce with a hint of real Lemon, yummy. Tasted the General Tso's , perfection, they serve American fare too, burgers, wings, steak , salmon, shrimp , add a Sushi Bar, covered patio. The place is soon to be my go to restaurant in town. I wanted to love it, I really did. The old pictures from, I think it was Treasure Garden, looked amazing. When they re-opened as three in one, I was bummed they weren't doing take-out. When I checked yesterday and saw takeout available on Monday and Wednesday, I was excited. We got steamed dumplings, bbq ribs, egg roll, general tsaos and chicken chow fun. The egg roll was fried very hard, and was super crunchy without being greasy. Weird. The dumplings were a very nice ratio of meat to dough, and I liked the dipping sauce. Good. The chicken chow fun was the best thing we had, but it was a little simple- mostly just noodles and chicken with some scallions. I'm used to a lot more vegetables- but the flavor was awesome. The bbq ribs were terrible. So much glaze and so sticky, I had to get a toothpick to get it all off my teeth. Gross. The general tsaos was not general tsaos. Honestly, I may have been given the wrong dish. What I got had baby corn, water chestnuts, carrots and mushrooms in it. The chicken was very good quality, but the batter was falling off it, and nothing tasted like general tsaos at all. If they called this dish anything else, it would have been good, but this was not what I expected or wanted when I order general tsao. 2 entrees, 2 apps and 1 egg roll was $44. Way too expensive for not the best food. Not missing much by skipping this place. read more

We had been to this place prior to the renovations and didnt like the food. We figured we give it another shot and check out what they did with the place. The decor is certainly more apealing but that is about it. Food was terrible and over priced. Drinks were equally as bad. My martini glass was half full of what tasted like cucumber water. The same complaint came from everyone who order a mixed drink. They were all watered down. Off the specials list we had the following: Mahi mahi - for $20 you were served a over cooked, bland piece over mahi mahi over sweet potatos. Bacon wrapped filet mignon- i believe the it was around $18. You received 4 medallions wrapped with so much bacon that when removed it was about the size of a half dollar. Also underwhelming in the taste category. Off the standard menu: Eggplant with pork (a chinese dish) was so salty it was sent back. Its was so bad that it was not replaced and that person decided to not eat. Two others had tradional chinese food which they liked the plates looked nice, it came with rice, egg roll and main course. As a geoup we were pretty dissatisfied. Hopefully they are still learning the menu and working out the kinks. My suggestion if you go, stick with the chinese food (its what they know how to cook) and order beer. read more

I really wanted to like this place. They fell short in many regards. 1. They force you to valet park. The restaurant was fairly empty, maybe a third full. We parked on the street. 2. The menu is weird. Three different cuisines, mostly Chinese. They have a Sushi bar but NO SUSHI. They were advertising sushi when they were building it, but it never happened. Disappointing. 3. The chicken wing appetizers were good. We had an order of Buffalo and teriyaki. Lots of wings for the price. Meaty. 4. The dinners were hit and miss. My grilled pork chop, excellent. The sweet potatoes had a hint of some type of curry flavor, not so good. May have been a remnant from another dish. We had a chicken combo platter which was very good. Bacon wrapped scallops only had 4 scallops and they were overcooked. Coconut rice was outstanding. Our last dinner was a disaster. 5. We ordered filet mignon on a skewer with fingerling potatos medium. We received a bacon wrapped filet with cut up potatoes. When we asked the waitress about it she stated " we have not had that since I have worked here". Why didn't you tell us and why is it still on the menu? It came out cooked like a hockey puck so it was sent back and something else ordered. We ordered chicken wings on a stick and they were not crisp and the skin was gummy. Terrible. Manager came out, said "sorry" and walked away. That's it. 6. Guinness on tap was good. Overall experience, won't return. read more

I always encourage people to make up their own minds about restaurants. With that said, I'm writing this review to reflect on my own experience. The Chinese food is great, and well worth the price. However, the American dishes I tried were less satisfying. The food is too little for too much. I ordered the shrimp skewer meal and left hungry. Only one skewer with 4 very small shrimp was served over an abundance of rice. The price tag was $16. I am perfectly fine with a $16 meal when I feel that the amount of food and quality match the price; in this instance it was not justified. I want to like this restaurant and I wish them well. We really enjoyed all of our food here. I also love a family owned and run business. I have one with my family so I know how hard it could be at times so I like to support them! Anyways, so many options on the menu! The place is beautiful after all it's renovations. The outside patio with a fireplace looks like a fun place to hangout on a nice night. We started with the pan fried pork dumplings, absolutely LOVED them. Entrees we had were; shrimp pan fried noodles-it was OK, not great; the lemon chicken with mash-amazing; steak kakbobs great; boneless spare ribs- fantastic!!! All the cocktails we had were really good too! I'm definitely looking forward to going back and getting another meal! Sushi bar to open soon! As of now (July 18) no take out orders. Our service though was horrendous. I know it's only been open a couple of weeks, so I know it could be difficult for some waiters/waitress to get the hang of the menu and things, but our server was just a bad server who was never around. Never checked to see if we needed anything and if he did come by we had to stop him to ask for more drinks, which he forgot to bring over anyways.
