Nachos
Sean C.

Never been here but decided to come out of curiosity. Venue is spacious and provides a nice bar area and family style seating. Also there was a private room available too. We ordered a few things for the evening Brisket Fries - delicious smoke flavor on the thinly sliced cuts of meat over top cheese fries. SO DAMN DELICIOUS! Nacho - I don't think I gave this a fair chance because the brisket fries were good and hearty lol. But the nachos offered a nice light crunch texture which is needed. Wings - ordered 12 wings with split sauce. Whiskey Chipotle & Nashville Hot Dry Rub. Absolutely delicious perfect coating of sauce and the seasoning does not overpower anything. **Also I always give big props when restaurants give regular sized wings and not those smaller pieces. ** Surf And Turf Tacos- also very delicious and came with side of rice. Perfectly balanced and they didn't just fall apart. Beer Flight- I don't recall all of the names but they were great especially that seasonal beer that had warm notes of spice. Our hostess Zizi was also great and attentive. So provide amazing services and definitely made me want to come back to try other options I'm definitely looking forward to the duck quesadilla with that ghost pepper cheese!!!

A creative gastropub tucked at the back of a strip mall with ample parking - very close to the Garden State Parkway. Nice bar area with high top seating, next to a more intimate dining room area. Excellent appetizers (wings and Buffalo chicken dip our favorites), great sandwiches and entrees. Wide variety of craft beers, huge selection of spirits and creative cocktails. Service is always fast and friendly. They often have live music, which was the case on the Friday we were there. They have brunch (very good) and in warmer weather they have dog happy hour outside.

Good food, good service, decent prices. The paragon is not located in the most convenient place but it is for sure a semi hidden gem. I love a place with a happy hour and the menu does not disappoint. the food was good, the drinks were good and best of all they have outside dining! Happy hour and outside dining automatically get you an extra star. The service was good, we were checked on regularly and everyone was very friendly. This could easily become a regular hangout spot after work.

Paragon was a convenient meeting point for a Sunday brunch. Decor is simple and modern. We were seated immediately and had a friendly server throughout our meal. We had a Caesar salad and their chicken and beef tacos. They were tasty and well presented. Overall a good spot with a varied menu.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Paragon is a go-to when I'm in the mood for flavorful craft beer--there's always something new to try, which keeps it fun. The buffalo chicken dip is a must--light, whipped, and dangerously easy to keep eating. Entree portions are generous, so definitely share if you're just snacking. Lots of TVs in the bar area too, so it's a solid spot to catch a game with friends and a cold beer in hand. Laid-back vibes, great beer, and that dip alone is worth the visit!

PROs- IPA varieties, ambience , service CONs - location First time .. I have passed by this place so many times and didn't know there was a Bar in this locality.. location wise , it's too much inside , from the road and we hardly can see this shop.. I should say it's a "Hidden gem".. fantastic spot .. lots of parking available and lots of seats inside to dine-in. Price was good. They had so many IPAs on tap. I was amazed with the selections.. they give u beers to taste , so u can pick the correct one . Loved their Equilibrium hazy IPA. Great service . Also ordered empanadas : they were ok .. service was superb . Ambience is awesome . Loved the place .

December 20th brings National Sangria Day! Cheers with Blood Orange Sangria from @paragontapandtable !! High compliments to Chef Brice !! the seared scallops were a wonderful medley of flavors and textures. Our Server Mike was simply the best!! Loved the Shimmering Fig Cocktail!! Looking forward to returning!! Happy Holidays!! Plus: support local artists! Love that!!

Truffle & Parm Fries

We've been here just over a dozen times. Yes, it is a hidden gem behind the Marshall's. Great beer selection of local breweries and really good food options. On this visit we had the Truffle & Parm Fries, Steak Wedge Salad ($20) & Santa Fe Chicken Salad ($18), as well as a beer flight. The staff are really helpful in deciding what types of beers would match your tastes. Both waitresses we had tonight were excellent. Bathrooms are very clean as well. The only thing I would change is to label the beers on the beer flight (as other establishments do) because sometimes you have a really good beer, but you can't remember which one it was and maybe to turn off the music in the background when it's really busy because it can get really loud in there and hard to have a conversation with anyone else at your table.

Almost forgot to write this review. Went to Paragon by myself for lunch. Only ordered appetizers. The interior is your typical bar. It's a large two sided venue, with outdoor seating, live bands on certain days, & is in a large shopping complex, so plenty of free parking. My server was polite, & quick with taking my order. Her lack of attention to a specific detail I wasn't too fond of, but I actually opted not to mention it. I ordered the Street Corn Dip, Truffle & Parm Fries, & Bavarian Soft Pretzel. I enjoyed the dip A LOT, & the Fries were great too. The pretzel, which is actually (3) sticks, I just didn't care for. Not a big deal, but in spite of the fact that I ate 1/2 of only 1, my server never acknowledged it & didn't offer to take it off of my bill. I could have said something, but sometimes I just like to observe & give a true review. This was such a time. The busy level was low, so can't use that as an excuse. Still, a nice Woman, just missed that "gimme" of an adjustment. Anyway, I'd still go back.....just not for the pretzel. I also had a seasonal Asbury Park beer. Grades: Street Corn Dip: A++ Truffle & Parm Fries: A+ Bavarian Soft Pretzel: C- Asbury Park Fest Beer: B

We booked a karaoke room for an hour for 6 people on a Thursday evening, and while the singing was fun, the service was below subpar. When we arrived, we did not have a full menu available to us in the room, so it took a few mins to get our order in. Our server kept close tabs of every minute in karaoke, but not the food. It took over 60 minutes to get our wings! Apparently there was some sort of mix up in the kitchen & while we were understanding, what threw us for a loop was that even though our wings were DELAYED, our server was hesitant to offer complimentary time in our karaoke room while we waited. Right at the 60-minute mark, he was quick to offer two options - our wings to go or a table in the dining room. In the end, we had to negotiate an extra hour in the karaoke room since our food took SO long to come out. When paying the check, we were surprised to see a charge for food we never ever received! I'm super disappointed that they tried to take advantage of us, when we were very understanding of their mix up. In my opinion, servers could use a lesson or two in customer service. Never in my time in hospitality, have I ever behaved in the way they did.

A glorious fever dream! Tapas galore! No full bar? Who cares? Four flavors of Sangria (red, white,…read moreblue w/Curaçao, passionfruit- naturally delicious!) and wine. With a google same day reservation, I rolled in with my little family of four and my mother-in-law. Gabriella, the chef's wife, treated us like family and every dish tasted like a hug. Highlights were the zesty Peruvian Ceviche (save bread for the sauce), tasty Steak Yucca Fries, and Berenjena con Miel - eggplant drizzled with honey and goat cheese. The Calamari was crispy and delicious even without the tentacles. Dessert was a victory lap with a smooth and creamy Flan, perfectly crunchy Churros, and Lemon Sorbet that looked like Olaf doing hot yoga. Then came free homemade limoncello to end the meal. It was bright, balanced, and dangerously good! We waddled out with joy! NOTES/TIPS: **Great solo, dates, friends, family. **Huge menu w/several vegetarian options and kids menu. **Wine and sangria available. **Gendered restrooms. Wheelchair-accessible. Indoor/outdoor seating. Warm modern vibes. **For 3 adults and 2 kids with their spaghetti and meatballs, 7 small plates left us very full. **Street parking if you're lucky, parking decks nearby. **Reservations recommended.

Service was top-notch, folks came back to help us pack up extras and also check on us multiple times. Stopped in on a hot day, tried a bunch: Pitcher of white sangria was a lovely cool sip, just about right for four of us per pitcher. Tapas/apps: - Special baked oyster fondue was only ok (reminded me of Oyster Rockefeller but not as flavorful and the cheese was mostly on the plate, not on the oyster); they had 3 on the plate and they noticed and had them make up a 4th for the 4th person at the table. Great service for that notice and sending a fourth one out - good touch. - Papas bravos was a good fingerling potato in a creme - Grilled octopus was ok - Peruvian ceviche was a touch too sour for me, but others liked it - had another potato dish but wasn't sure what it was called; just ok Mains, also shared: - Short ribs rigatoni was good, but not as good as the one at Ferraro's that I had earlier in the month - Seafood paella - not sure if this is a regional difference, but I'm used to having the crispy rice along the outside of the pan, crunch and savory -- the inside rice and shrimp, sausage and clams were ok, but missing the texture expected of a hot pan of paella rice, so left feeling like I missed out of something Dessert - churros were solid, with dulce de leche - lava cake was ok, not much melting (more like a little chocolate melted in the center but not enough to ooze out), but the chocolate cake was good, and the vanilla ice cream to the top always a good touch - they had a special fruit mix in a pastry shell - good fruit mix and the ice cream below was good - pastry was just ok, maybe needed something more like a napoleon's layers instead of being like a fried skin which ended up being a bit stuck in the teeth Overall great service, a mix of dishes that sometimes hit the mark and others missed, but will come here to try some other dishes that people at the table next to us ordered - the steak looked good, as did the fish!

This restaurant looks great. There is a nice counter area to order, a really nice seating area inside and even outdoor seating. Some of the decor makes you feel like you're in a household's kitchen. By the cashier there is a table you can wait at complete with local newspapers. It's very charming. This was my first visit and I ordered my food to go. I had two key dishes. The first was hummus with falafel, which is very standard for me whenever I go to any Mediterranean place. When I opened the take out box at home I was really surprised. Most places give you a good amount of hummus, but here it was basically a thin layer. Kind of like a layer of mayo on a sandwich (maybe a tad thicker). Then on top of the hummus was a huge layer of pickled vegetables and tiny pickles. This was a surprise. I've had hummus orders from a lot of restaurants before and I've *never* seen this on an order before. Then the falafel balls were on top and well...they were really dry and didn't have much flavor. Now, sometimes you can cover that up by just coating the falafel in hummus, but there wasn't enough hummus to do that. The dish was just disappointing all around. The other dish I tried were the Lemon Potatoes. They were good! The lemon flavor was strong and they were cooked well. Not the best example in the area, but they would do in a pinch. At some point I'll give this place another try. Maybe this was a fluke (at least I hope so).
