My family ordered some old favorites yesterday and after all these years, it is still my favorite hole in a wall restaurant. We had beef chow fun, family style tofu casserole, and beef & Chinese broccoli chow mein. It seems they have increased their portions tremendously or was it because we've been loyal customers. My goodness, there was so much food to feed a small army. Too bad, I did not take any photos to show you. All dishes tasted familiar and delicious as many times before. My brother who went inside to pick up our orders said there were many dine in customers on an early Saturday afternoon. The restaurant prepares the dishes only after we paid first. I went there to order orange chicken, shrimp friend rice, and pot stickers. It took forever for her to take my order. When I got the food home, they had given me combination rice, not shrimp. The pot stickers were not good. The orange chicken was okay, but considering the rest of it, I ended up throwing it all away. This place is so good, it feels like exactly what I imagine when people say hole in the wall (I don't love this term or use it often, but here I mean to say it is super lowkey and casual and the food is so delicious). I've been here at least twice and last time we got the egg rolls, pea pods, salt and pepper scallops, and one of the egg foo youngs. Everything was delicious - egg rolls sound basic but I'd read somewhere they use peanut butter and it has a different flavor and it's more subtle than it sounds but so good. I loved the salt and pepper scallops and I'm sure their other salt and pepper items. Egg foo young was good too and especially yummy as leftovers the next day. Service was nice and just what a great meal - my friend and I loved it and I'd come back when I'm in the mood for Good Chinese Food. Also affordable, which we love. read more

This is always always been my go to in Chinatown. Decided to go there Sunday afternoon me and two other guest were possibly spent $160 in there. Wewere treated terrible I'm not gonna knock their food. Their food is good but as far as customer service, the lady that works behind the register, this lady needs to go to school or take a class in how to treat customers and then I was offended because she told us we had to pay first before we even got our food that was kinda like an insult. I forgot my cousin asked for extra bean sprouts and water chestnuts she gave us a small bowl of them and charged us $10 for them and they were cold out of the refrigerator. I think this lady fell off the bed that day or something she just was terrible. I had to get Up ask for sweet-and-sour sauce, hot mustard. They make you pay up front and the food is way too salty. I ordered a beef chow mein and my friend ordered a Mongolian beef. Both just way too salty. I've been a client since childhood, on 11/15/25 I ordered egg foo young and it was uncooked and disgustingly mushy. The gravy was so thick and jelly like. I won't return, the device is unprofessional and the place is dirty. I should never have selected this place because it's been going down hill for years. I'll just say it, hands down the best fried rice in all of Chinatown, the color is just right, (if you know, you know)! Nice small restaurant where you can sit down or order take out. When I was sent here for orange chicken, I was surprised at the flavor. I was not expecting to taste orange! The sauce was perfect. The chicken was fresh, not over battered and not over seasoned! The next time I order any breaded chicken I would ask for any sauce on the side. I love the crunchy texture and if I could get crunch out of every bite, I would be a happy eater! We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who seemed to be pleased we chose to eat in instead of grabbing takeout. The food was so delicious. I asked for lo mein noodles plain, and it was not an issue. I always worry that my plain orders will come mixed with vegetables or meat and they delivered exactly how I wanted it to come. First of all, THIS PLACE IS NASTY AND HAVE LOW QUALITY FOOD!!! This is my first and last time going there. I dined in and the waitress bought a sign over saying pay first. I told her that never experienced paying first when dinning in. She said it was their policy. Not too long afterwards, a white couple sit behind me and ordered without paying first. I asked the waitress why they did not pay first? She said they paid already. I said no they did not and I asked them before leaving did they pay for their meal yet. The answer were no. This is discrimination. I had already payed and put my order in, but if I would have seen the discrimination first I would have left. I ordered two vegetable egg roll for appetizers and vegetables dish with light white gravy. I sit for over 45 minutes before the dish came to the table. The veggies egg roll had barely no vegetables. The vegetable dish had no gravy. The vegetables were drenched in oil. I tried wiping the oil off put it had already saturated into the vegetables. I called the waiter over and she agreed and I asked for a refund. She gave the refund but was insisting that I leave a tip because I ate the egg rolls. Are you kidding me? The egg roll was not good. The atmosphere was horrible everyone sitting waiting for food. A white couple walked in and received their food within 10 minutes. And to remind you, they did not pay first. A tip is for good service and food. I am 69 years and I have never experienced what happened at "Three Happiness ." They are the worst!! Another lady in front of me ordered jumbo shrimps with rice. The shrimps were not deveined and the rice was burnt. She also got a refund. After this, I checked the reviews and found out that this place is nasty and has low quality food. The staff was not very personable and when I received my food it was very generic. What I mean is I ordered some seafood and some of it was not real.
