Food is wonderful, staff is awesome. Courtney is a fantastic bartender. Great time.

Pleasant atmosphere, interesting and well prepared food, good wine list, attentive but unobtrusive service.

Great atmosphere, great unique food and the wait staff was excellent. We are out if towers and found this place exceptional.

This is an upscale yet casual restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable and even made us a drink that was not on the menu. The Sea Bass dinner was well composed, however the fish was not as fresh as I would expect at this price point. The Lobster Thermidor and Beef Tips was good but not spectacular. The Caesar was over dressed. The Brie en Croute appetizer was excellent. This may be a place to stick with the steak. read more

Three Birds is the best place in Corning for an intimate dinner. The food is always delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The entree selections change throughout the year, which is nice as a Corning native because it's not always the same thing on the menu every time. I highly recommend ordering the duck (rare) or the salmon if either are on the menu. read more

The food was pretty good, as far as vegetarian cuisine. It was seasoned properly and well-made. However, it was the only option available. Nothing else even sounded like leaving the meat out was possible. The staff was approachable & prompt and our table was ready when we arrived. At the restaurant, things seemed good. However, when we got home that night, my husband and I, both vegetarians who ate the same entrees, got very very sick for the remainder of the evening. It happened to be our anniversary. It's a funny story now, but we'll never go back. read more

Crab Cakes were great. Swedish meatballs were dry. Ravioli were underseasoned and undercooked. Tenderloin was perfect. Aged strip was dry and overcooked. Duck was great. Beignet wasn't a beignet. Apple crisp was soggy. Creme brulee was okay. read more

The best food on Market Street! Great dinner menu for a special night out and awesome selection for just sitting at the bar with friends. Fish Stew...try it. Staff could be a bit friendlier. read more

Great innovative menu of items well prepared. Food quality very high, and reasonably priced for the high quality. When booking, make sure you don't get a table in back area by fireplace - too much waitstaff traffic and noise. Ask for main dining area, and dressy seems to get you a better spot. read more

Absolutely fantastic. Started with the Spinach and Sun Dried Tomato soup. Then Perfect Hanger steak with beans and pirogies. This is the place for dinner. Great job guys. read more

We called to book a group of 22 people a month in advance. Three Birds management accommodated us with a private upstairs room. This was a surprise to us and really appreciated. Upon arrival the tables were set up in large square so we could see everyone. Fancy visual experience with white table cloths, table decorations for fall and set-ups already ready when we walked in. You are already thinking, WOW, this is nice! You felt welcomed and special seeing so much care done to provide an attractive, welcoming dinning experience. We had 1 waitress which masterfully handled the large number in a timely manner. During booking, restaurant advised us to downsize and refine the menu selection to ensure timely food prep and food arrival. They made recommendations and we signed off on it. The menu was nicely printed and had a great selection that accommodated our dietary needs. Staff helped our waitress expedite the food to the table. Our waitress even crawled under the table to get to the middle of the square to take a panoramic shot with an iPhone. We really appreciate that extra mile of service! I can recommend this restaurant as a place to accommodate larger parties and help you make the group dining experience a success. read more

Great food & friendly service. Even their bar menu was great! Would definitely recommend above other restaurants in the district! Felt welcomed as out of towners! read more

I've been coming to Three Birds for years. In fact, I rarely go anywhere else on market St for dinner because I know my meal is always going to be amazing. Their crab cake appetizer never leaves their menu because of its popularity, and I always have one when I go in. I've had the beef tenderloin, teres major, pork tenderloin, rack of lamb, as well as other dishes that aren't signature items on their menu. My favorite has to be the tenderloin. It's always cooked to perfection. Their home made bread with herbed Parmesan olive oil makes it hard not to fill up on bread before your meal! Their drinks are great as well. The staff are always enjoyable and attentive, I'm always amazed at how they can do so much at one time. With a completely packed dining room, my water glass was refilled at least 6 times in an hour..and never was completely empty. Hard to top such great consistent service. We bring our whole family here, as many as 10 people, and everyone's meal and experience is just as perfect as if it was just my husband and I to tend to. The only disappointment I've ever had is at the bar. Their newer bartender..a younger 20something guy, think his name is Ben, is very cold and inattentive. He often seems irritated that you are there. I've waited nearly 10 minutes for him to even glance in our direction when there's no one even there..he just seems to busy himself with no customer related things. I don't let this affect their stars because I don't go there for that, I go there for an amazing dining experience. read more

I've ate at this establishment regularly for years, and their food remains consistently good. I would recommend them to anyone.

We dined here after coming back from the Wine Festival. It was the first time that we had eaten at this restaurant but we had heard good things about it. I have to say that it is now my favorite restaurant in Corning. The food was to die for. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The desserts were outstanding and the bill was very resonable for four of us with drinks, appitizers and entrees. The one down-fall was the bread. It arrived hot and smeeling great but it had no taste to it and the oil dipping sauce couldn't help it. read more

In terms of food, hands down the best restaurant in Corning. Inspired & creative cooking. Service needs work; server meant well, but was brand new and undertrained, although she fixed mistakes quickly once brought to her attention. A little attention to training would go a long way here. read more

My meal was served cold and our waitress was not very professional or attentive. I was very disappointed in my Valentine's dinner. I ordered the veal Marsala, whipped potatoes and asparagus. Everything on my plate was stone cold. I would have been ok with warm but cold? Seriously? At this price point, I expect better. I waited for my waitress to come and check on us so I could send it back. She never stopped back. I ended up having to get up and go tell the hostess. They took my meal back and reheated it. While I waited I watched my husband enjoy his meal. Not fun. Then when my meal finally came, the meat was tough because it was no longer medium. sigh. The pistachio salad was bland. It didn't appear to have dressing on it. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. We had the ham, cream cheese strudel and the crab cake. Both were tasty. Dessert was another disappointment. No exaggeration, when we first started going to this restaurant the chocolate pate slices were thick now they were practically wafer thin. Not something you can share anymore which would have been nice to know. We go multiple times a year and this has been my favorite market st restaurant. I am very disappointed in them. They should have timed the cooking of our meals better. read more

Coming here with my out of town boyfriend was an amazing experience. The people were friendly. The atmosphere was good and the food was amazing! I loved every minute! Worth every penny. I would defiantly go back...well after my bank account recovers. We had the Brie on crute for our starter which was very good. The cheese was wonderfully melted and the candied nuts were very good. Although I wished I had seen some in season fruits instead of a handful of blueberries and a strawberry. Then we had our salads we got the Caesar and Baby Greens. They were both beautifully dressed. Then for our entrees we had the veal and pork tenderloin. The pork was BEAUTIFUL! Amazing presentation and the flavors all blended so well and I can't say good enough things about it. Then dessert we had creme brûlée and tiramisu. And they were both amazing! I advise getting a cup of coffee with the creme brûlée they pair very well. My only complaint is that they don't have a good drink selection for people under 21. Which is understandable. But defiantly felt silly with my Shirley Temple. Would recommend to anyone visiting! Overall, yes! Liked it a lot! read more

Three Birds Restaurant - Creme brûlée with coffee and tiramisu. - New American Near Me - Corning, New York

I like this place. It's fair price for the area. I had the pork tenderloin which was pretty good and tender.

Very good. I have not had anything bad. Only complaint is that they really need to change the menu. They have specials but the "standards" are getting old. They would do well not to make the same mistake that London Underground made. The restaurtants in Corning need to realize that the people in the town will not keep coming back if the menu does not change. read more

Was @ Three Birds on 3/23 for drinks. We were lucky to get one. The grubby bartender - in sweats w/a greasy ponytail - was less than attentive. There were dirty glasses lined up on one entire end of the bar, and he kept "disappearing" for SEVERAL minutes. Now, I wouldn't say this if I didn't know for sure, but the guy's a pothead, and when I asked another employee where he was and how I could get a drink, that employee said, "hes probably out toking up" - "he does that all night". Hmmm...gonna be a while before I return. read more

Very disappointed as a visitor to the town. Good food, very poor service. Don't expect a conversation from the bartender if you're on business from out of town eating alone. Try the Gaffer Grille if you expect any human interaction in a bartender. read more

FANTASTIC! Wonderful place to dine, great food, atmosphere and service, all at a reasonable price. I could not ask for better food or a more pleasant place to dine. I had a delicious Caesar salad with just the right amount of dressing, the hanger steak on black beans and rice with Andoillou (sp?) sausage, etc. and it was perfectly spiced, the accompanying green beans tender-crisp. I'll drive 1 1/2 hours to dine here at least monthly. read more

Found Three Birds restaurant while vacationing in upstate NY. Pleasant atmosphere, great food and service that went above and beyond. We even returned to Corning on the way home to eat there again! read more

I joined yelp just to write a review. I will try to cover every aspect of our recent visit. The restaurant was very clean, bathrooms included. We were seated promptly and the table was probably the best in the restaurant. So far impressed. We decided on our appetizer and drinks. The service was good and they made sure our drinks were always filled. Appetizers and bread came out and both were decent (4stars). I would have come again based on everything so far. We ordered our entrees. I asked the waitress if they tend to under or over cook the steaks. As I like to have my steak cooked right (medium rare to medium). She stated the owner was out back and it should be cooked perfect. So I ordered the $46 dollar 45 day aged 14 Oz. Ny Strip medium. This is were things changed. Steaks (wife got filet)came out. I cut into my steak med well/ well done. Absolutely no flavor! Zero zilch zippo. Which is pretty much the opposite of what there should be... an explosion of flavor with dry aged. I am sure it was a frozen strip(99%). Completely ruined my experience... I am not the type to send items back or ask for new. I don't like the embarrassment or attitude you get from staff after you do. I probably should have gave them the opportunity to fix it. I kind of felt Waitress new my dissatisfaction when asking if they were done correctly. I said not really and requested a cup of clarified butter to give it some flavor so I could eat it. Aged steak is very tender due to the break down connective tissues in the aging process. Not the case here so I am calling bs. Tough tough tough. Soooo disappointed. I would quite honestly try a steak at a Dennys than come again... yup i just said that. We will not be back. read more

My wife and I have been regulars of Three Birds for about 4 years now. We have always loved it but it never really made it as our favorite. However, just over the past 9 months or so they have completely steeped up their game and just blown our family away. I don't know if it is new management or new chefs or what, but it is now just unbelievable how much of a deal you get. Just last Thursday my wife and I were awe-struck as a young man who couldn't have been over 17 began to preform the best magic tricks i have EVER seen. He was levitating cards, reading my mind, and best of all was completely non-intrusive. The magic added a flavor to the meal that no other restaurant in corning has to offer. The servers know 110% of what goes on in and our of the kitchen and all we had to do was sit back and relax, because we knew we were taken care of. Our host was also quite young (i think him and the magician were brothers) and he as well, despite his age and probable lack in experience, knew everything not only about the menu, but preparation styles and ambiance. Not only that, but he and the magician were both the most polite young men i have ever met. This is why i love this town! Three Birds makes me proud to live in corning. read more
