After going to several threading salons in Lincoln Park, this is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!! The owner, Ayesha, is always very professional and welcoming. She has done an excellent job on my eyebrows and Brazilian waxes. I also strongly recommend Sabihe for gorgeous brows, and Deepa does the LEAST painful Brazilian you'll ever have!!! Seriously. I'm so happy with the service here and I found it by mistake almost. I was driving from work and stopped with a hotness of brows. I was seen instantly. The wait time is always minimal to none! I love it. On my second trip back, I got my brows threaded and my Brazilian done by Fatima. It had been a long time... yes I know I slacked but Fatima got started on the wax asap. I needed a last appointment and found this salon. I saw the great reviews and liked how close it was by my job and easily made a same day appointment. Everybody in there was super nice, had a clean space, and Fatima was literally the best waxer I've been to! I've been getting Brazilians done for a couple of years and this was hands down the least painful and it was a while since my last Wax with my normal lady. Lol. Impressed with good pricing and friendly owner. When my brows AND eyebrows were not tinted the color I requested AND they looked darker rather than lighter she made an excuse rather than offer to fix the problem. I told her I was very dissatisfied and should not be required to pay. She didn't try to fix the job and she refused to give me me a refund. VERY POOR customer service. I will not go back here again My response to the owner: I NEVER left the salon. I immediately notified the woman who did my brows and lashes that I was not pleased. My eyebrows were not lighter as I requested but they were much DARKER (confirmed by the person I went with). I paid my technician and before I handed her the money I again politely discussed my dissatisfaction and asked to speak to you. She went in the back to get you and she let me know that you would be right out to address my concerns. I waited in your salon at least 15 minutes before you came out (the salon was almost empty and not busy). After expressing my concerns to you I was appalled that you continued with excuses. I have never in all of my years going to salons been this dissatisfied with the results. Your lack of care for a customer's xconcern is very disappointing. Even if you couldn't make the brows lighter like you said, they should not have been made darker. At least you could have kept them the same shade. The fact that you did not even give me a partial refund or certificate to make good on the poor job and dishonesty is truly unprofessional, unethical and unacceptable. Even a mere apology would have softened the blow and been better than all of your excuses. $60 is not going to kill me whatsoever but I think your decision to take $60 from a very disappointed customer is not very wise when running a business. A poor review that could have easily been prevented was probably the wiser choice. read more

This place has a really bad first impression. I came in for a wax appointment and there was just one woman in the shop giving a manicure to another customer. There was no music on or any other sounds, just a silent room with this woman giving a manicure. She didn't greet me or say anything when I walked in. I sat down on the couch to wait... and about 2 minutes later she said "Can I help you?" without looking up. I said "I'm here for my 3pm?" and she said nothing and went back to work. I looked around the shop, wondering what room they do the waxing appointments in. There was a walled off area in the back corner, but the walls seemed thin. The place itself was sort of dark and an older building. Then another customer (a man) walked in and sat down on the couch. I don't know about you, but there's no way I'm getting a brazilian in a COMPLETELY silent room with some random guy sitting on the other side of a thin wall (not entirely closed off at the ceiling). So, I left. Maybe their services are good, but the ambiance is so creepy I wasn't going to wait around to find out. No thanks. read more

This place is terrible for manicures, if their nail tech is not in! DO NOT COME HERE!!! I came in last Friday August 15th and I did not know that there is a "regular" nail tech. So I had some other lady do my manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was subpar, she did not cut my nails or do all the things a nail tech would do, but I didn't say anything. I had a no chip manicure done and it was terrible! I showed her where the nail polish had balled up and how the edges were not done right, she tried to fix it but it was no good. So the receptionist lady then told me that their actual nail tech had called off and they could do my redo nails on Sunday. Why they would let another person that is not a nail tech do nails is beyond me. Sunday I ended up having to leave to go out of town unexpectedly and called to change my appointment, she said come back next Saturday at 11am. I am here now and they have no record of my new appointment!!! This is terrible customer service. The receptionist said she will ask if I can still be seen because I do not have an appointment!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE FOR NAIL SERVICES!!!! Here are pictures of my nails, that chipped the next day!!!! I can provide a time stamp if you do not believe me. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!! read more

My experience was great! First time I ever had a Brazilian wax. Started right on time with Deepra (I think that's her name). The place smelled and looked great! Just like a beautiful spa. She took all the time needed to get all hair removed. I used a groupon without any problems whatsoever. I called Saturday morning and got a 3 pm appointment. The place is super clean. I may get my nails done within the next few weeks. We scheduled another appointment in 5 weeks. It's was not very painful at all. I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone!! read more

By far the worst nail job I've ever had. My appointment was at 3pm. I picked my color and waited for the manicurist, which was fine. She barely filed my nails. I told her twice that I wanted it filed down to a round shape. She would file but in the slightest way that would not make any difference towards the shape or length of my nail. I had already told her twice that I wanted it filed down and was clearly unhappy about the shape but proceeded with the color. Multiple times there would be fuzz caught on my nails and she would attempt to pick it out. It took a massively long time to put on the color and base coat. I've had 3 coats applied before to my nails and it has never taken this long. She would blame me for resting my hand on the towel when I would not have any option besides to hold my hand stiffly. She would complain that my hand was too stiff. Overall, I spent over 1 hour getting a gel manicure only to have bad results. I am very unhappy about the shape and length of my nail. My nails are not evenly round and it looks like the exact same shape and length as when I had it before getting it done. The edges of my nail are not well done. I have one finger where the color looks like it is about to chip off. Some fingers look like the coat is not evenly distributed. read more
