If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Never in me and my partner's experience with threading in the Brea area have we received such terrible service. Not only was my skin nipped, but you can see that her skin was nipped in multiple areas and it left horrific scars! We came in on a Friday and had a wedding the next day. Upon coming in to ask for a refund on Monday, the owners had the AUDACITY to say: "are you and your partner playing games with us? Why didn't you come in sooner?" And didn't offer a FULL REFUND. They kept insisting that they gave me my refund already, so they would only offer my partner a $5 refund. She declined because it's insulting to get $5 (which isn't even near a 50% refund) when she could potentially dispute the transaction and get her money back. She was another customer, another service, and another transaction from me, but the owner continued to be stubborn and cannot comprehend that it's about the principe of their actions. The owner blamed it on the new staff member and didn't inform us that she was inexperienced, and claimed "a service was still provided!" That is totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and she could not come in sooner because we were out of town for a wedding. The owner also said: "we put gel on your eyes and you left happy." Umm, hello?! It scarred after she left. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid this place because they do not own up to their mistakes nor do they apologize for their TERRIBLE treatment of customers. Go somewhere else and save your money, but more importantly, your skin and sanity. What a JOKE. Absolutely horrendous. read more

The owner is amazing, she does a beautiful job every time! It took me a while to find a good place for eyebrows, I am so happy I found it!

A few years ago I had microblading done on my brows that ended up fading into blue/ grey blotchy patches and uneven lines. After spending wasted hours and dollars on several pomades, tints and pencils I decided to research on finding a trustworthy , confident and professional eyebrow technician. I talked to, texted , and even did consultations, but they were very limited in either experience, limitations of procedures, or confidence of favorable outcome. And then I found Selena! !She had several great reviews from customers and even other technicians that could not perform the procedure, At the consultation she was very sweet, honest and very confident in her work and capability. BINGO! She gave me the trust and reassurance I had been searching for. She did the correction that no one else could or would not do right at the consultation and after the healing process, I will go back so that she can do the nano blading procedure. She was very gentle and made sure I had enough numbing gel and did the procedure quickly and proficiently. I will definitely recommend this place and Salena to all my friends and customers! read more

I hadn't gotten my brows done in forever and was looking for somewhere that did eyebrow threading. Was in the area getting my nails done and looked on Yelp for brow threading places and Thread a Brow came up. The location was easy to get to and if you can't find street parking they have parking in the back that takes you lower. It looked pretty cool like a jungle back there and plenty of parking which is nice. Lots of other beauty shops nearby and a dog grooming place. There was only one person ahead of me when I arrived and checked in. The lady who did my brows was very nice and did a good job cleaning them up and keeping the shape. The price I paid was $11 plus tip just for my brows. Wanted to leave 5 stars but taking one off because one of my brows had a cut on it from the threading. She still did a good job and I'd be back! read more

Years ago I started having my eyebrows threaded but it took me a while to find a place. As soon as I tried Thread A Brow I was sold! I can't go anywhere else because the results are just not the same. I've been coming here for at least 5 years. In that time I've moved out of the area and started working pretty far away. I don't care how long it takes or how out of my way, I NEED to come here for my eyebrows. The owners are amazing and the nicest people you will meet. The BEST threading you can find. Especially if your brows are microbladed. Binal will thread them perfectly to the shape of the microblading. I have been coming here for several years now and I do not trust anyone else to thread my brows. The location is great. Conveniently located next to 57 freeway and right across from tons of shopping (brea mall) and a lot of amazing restaurants. You can just walk in. I get that eyebrows are sisters and not twins but i didnt think that she would make my eyebrows look like foster sisters :( Like, she could have at least made them equally ugly I've been a regular customer for about 2 years now, but I think I am going to have to call this place quits! I keep calling in asking for Mina, but the staff keeps on saying she is not working and that they don't know when she is going to be working. Like, don't be jealous that Mina is probably better than you ! After growing my caterpillars for about 3 months, they are now ruined. Now I actually fill in these bad (ugly) boys using my mediocre makeup skills. I went in this week to get my eyebrows done for my birthday this week and now I don't even want to go celebrate it because of how bad they look! But I specifically told the lady there (she is of older age) that I ONLY WANTED THEM CLEANED UP. I believe "clean up" might register in her brain as "completely remove". But she hacked off my eyebrow! And it actually hurt! It's sad because I always rave to my friends about how great this place is. But I guess I'm going to have to take all 20+ of my friends to a different threader! ‍ Sorry Thread a Brow, its been a good 2 years! There was only one person here (who I think is the owner and her husband) so I had to wait 25 minutes to get my eyebrows threaded. As I was getting my eyebrows threaded, I realized that she goes very slowly which has a feeling of meticulousness but makes it hurt a lot more than it needs to hurt. As she gave me the mirror to see myself, I noticed that I was bleeding just under my eyebrow. When I got home to inspect some more, it turned into a scab and I now have a large red welt in that area. Also, to top it off, she made one of my eyebrows skinnier than the other when I was there just for a clean up. Will not likely return. Plus it was $10 for the threading instead of $8 like I saw online. read more

Omg. I don't know why I left 15% tip. It looked okay in the store but that's probably because I was so dazed after being in pain from eyebrow threading. I've been here before but it wasn't that bad, but this time around this older woman did it and literally caused some minor bruising on my eyelid. She kept attacking a specific area until it bruised. Also as you can see from the photo she left stray hairs (one very long one in the bottom, towards the middle unibrow area). I have to go home and pluck the rest and cool it down with ice now) Also I specifically asked for straight brows and I ended up with brows that angled up towards the end. Quite a disappointing experience. I've also been here before (I had a stamp card) and she said I wasn't even in their system. Oh well - probably won't be coming back here. read more

I was excited to come here because of all the great reviews. The costumer service really lacks, I should've taken a hint during the call to make an appointment. I was told to come in fifteen mins, I got there within ten minutes and had to wait because there were two people ahead of me. The lady doing the eyebrows never washed her hands between clients, she didn't even bother to use hand sanitizer. The whole experience was so rushed, I wasn't ask what I wanted. Even when she was done she gave me the mirror and went over to the next person. I had no chance to even look at my eyebrows and tell her that she had missed hairs. When I got to my car I noticed that she didn't clean my eyes brows that well and I had hair all over my face. Three stairs only because she shaped my eyebrows decently, but the guy needs to let her do her job instead of rushing her. read more
