When I still lived in Pittsburgh I would order accessories and things for my Smart. Now that I'm in Austin, it's about a 40-minute drive to Hill Country to get service. The drive is so worth it. From them I've ordered a new bonnet and back skirt for my car (both authentic Smart pieces) and have had them do the install. The price for parts and service is extremely reasonable. The staff really know how to take care of clients and go above and beyond to make sure things are done right. They've got a shop in California as well and have had to collaborate with that team to make sure my installs were done correctly. It's just great to know I can get what I need for my car without being taken advantage of. I'm a little dingy and worrisome when it comes to this sort of thing and these folks go out of their way for me. This is what business should look like. Before arriving, I asked Boris if the Fiat Abarth had any dings, chips, dents or scratches because I was coming from far away. I also asked him if the Fiat pulled to the sides. He informed me that the Fiat was in EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAD NO ISSUES. WELL, WELL when I arrived to inspect the Gray Fiat Abarth it had tons of dings, chips and scratches. HE LIED. I then took it for a test drive and as soon as i went pass 60 the Steering wheel started to shimmy and vibrate a lot. I then took it to about 70 to 80 MPH and the Fiat pulled very hard to the right. I had to struggle to bring it back to center. These are very serious mechanical issues. ONCE again he lied. The Fiat Abarth was a mess and not even slightly perfect. I went to several shops with a vision for my 67 GTO; an LS3-swap, 1,000 HP, total frame-off restomod, one of a kind, hand-made build. No one really took me seriously and one shop even told me I had to fill out an application to be their customer. Chris and the rest of the crew at MC, including Charlie himself, were excited and supportive of the project from the beginning. The project is in the home stretch now. It's been a year and a half. Countless unforeseen obstacles have been identified and overcome collaboratively by the MC crew, both competently, and affordably. They have let me participate in this build and the communication has been excellent. From the necessary frame mods to the custom engineered exhaust, sheet metal work, and roll cage, they have demonstrated technical excellence and competence at every step. MC is not a big enterprise. They're not reality TV stars or otherwise distracted. They do great work at a fair price with an artistic flair, solving problems as they go. They don't advertise or boast. They were here before the current MotorTrend reality TV craze and they'll be here after all that's over. There's a reason for that. Like the sign in the shop says: "Old school is in session, and class is never dismissed." Give 'em a shot with your business. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
