I started out very optimistic and was excited to have my new vehicle repaired that a deer ran into the side of. The vehicle had barely 5000 miles on it and we were heart broken. When we picked up the vehicle from the Dripping Springs location I noticed additional damage that wasn't there when we left the vehicle, scratches where the tech had removed the door trim panel, damaged the trim panel, missing a spot during paint in the door jamb, a scratch on the back bumper (they claimed that they did not cause the bumper damage although they had to remove part of the bumper to do the work). So we had to make arrangements for another vehicle, again, so they could repair THEIR damage. Now I pick up the vehicle and they obviously shut the door where they had just painted the door jamb so now there is an imprint of the weatherstripping imbedded in the paint. Now I have to make MORE arrangements for another vehicle and transportation back and forth to the body shop. Such a hassle for something that should be caught during quality control... oh wait.. maybe there is no quality control. My time has value but to Caliber Collision my time has ZERO value. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I have had to have body work done on two different vehicles here, and both times they went above and beyond my expectations. Most recently, they went out of their way to help me with a nasty door ding I got shortly after my vehicle was fixed here at no charge because they felt bad about how long my replacement mirror was taking, which was not even their fault/was out of their control. I just happened to call to see if it was a service they offered and was prepared to pay. Joseph was who helped me both times I've been here and coordinated everything and I can't thank him enough. Don't ever leave, Joseph! Such nice front desk staff too. I had some big questions about the quality of the work, the number of hours to complete the work, the amount of area they claimed would need to be sprayed, and the fact that I had to pay for a complete set of car trim but they'd only need one door's piece. They did replace the mirror, which is not simple job, but probably, at least an hour's work. I had shared with the rep the loads of evidence to prove that they never actually ordered the trim kit, but changed me anyway, had paid hours added to do trim work, replacing it, and painting areas unrelated to the dent in the driver's door. Claiming they did all sorts of work totaling above 24 hrs, and over $2700.00, there remained scratches to the said trim, surface dings, road debris nicks, trim adhesive, around the concentrated area of work. I asked them prior to the contract to give me the bulk of the trim kit (which they never bought or used, but claimed they had, and charged me, too), but said the cleaning crew tossed it away. The fact is the original piece was dented, which the pulled off, heated and reshaped to match original form, glued it back after pulling the dent behind the trim and gave the area a polish. There were no creases or structural damages requiring body fillers or grinding, heating, or reshape to the door, front bumper, tire well, etc., which they claimed was extensively handled. In the end, it was 3 days later they admitted there was an error, so they gave a $243.00 refund 3 months later for the trim I payed $253.00. No adjustments to labor, etc. I don't feel vindicated, but sorely f*#~ed, and forever suspicious of Caliber Collision's practices! read more

I had to have some body work done recently after a minor fender bender. I chose Caliber based upon a previous good experience getting an estimate for work on my son's vehicle. Everything about this most recent experience was top shelf. James the estimator was prompt and professional. He kept me continuously up to date on the status of the job, and he walked me through the final outcome. Plus, they had the car ready a day ahead of their original projection. They are direct pay with Amica. Called on 11/17/21 and asked to get scheduled. They asked for the appraisers estimate and I sent the same day. Called a couple weeks later for status and they said they had not looked at it yet. On 1/5/22 gave up and went with another shop - Berli's in Pflugerville who I had previous good results from. They could have at least let me know they would not be able to do the work. read more

First of all, I just want to say that Ivan is a phenomenal human being. When I arrived for my quote, the first thing he asked me was "Is everybody okay?" That first interaction I knew I was in good hands and cared for. I came in May for an estimate for my front bumper that suffered a gouge from a trailer hitch. Ouch. I'm a student so the deductible I had to pay took me a while to save up and pay for, but when I finally got the money together in September (a whole 4-5 months after my initial visit), I let them know and they were more than willing to take my car in the very next day. Ivan remembered me after this whole time and checked my car out again. He saw that I had a new scrape on my back right bumper from a hit and run in my work parking lot and took it upon himself to fix it for me. I was so beyond grateful that when I got back into the car with my parents I almost cried. I was so relieved that I didn't have to make a separate claim or somehow find another $800+ to get my bumper either replaced or repainted. The team at calliber make you feel cared for. They fixed my body clip, touched up scratches and rock chips for me all over the car, cleaned the exterior AND interior of my vehicle, and even filled up my gas tank. I can't put into words how grateful, thankful, and relieved I am to have been able to let these amazing people fix my car. I trust them 1000%. I recently had my car bumped by two people in two weeks plus had some other body work earlier in the year, so I had experience with two other body shops & 3 insurance companies. BEST BODY SHOP IN DRIP!!! I brought my brand new 2019 Cadillac XT4 into the Dripping Springs Caliber after getting side swiped on Mopac a few days after I received my license plates. They were a preferred location of USAA, and conveniently located less than a mile from my house. This was THE BEST experience I have ever had with a body shop! I dropped it off the same day USAA told me where to take it, they finished it in a week and a half, and even took it all the way up to Covert in North Austin to get the special edition pinstripe redone by Cadillac's person who does all of their cars!! Ivan called me when he said he would with updates, and was super nice and professional! I felt like I was his most important client and my car was his priority! He even had someone drive me home when I dropped the car off to get repaired; AND personally picked me up so I could get the car when it was done! I have a new paint color too called Metallic Pacific that is two tone blue, changing colors in the sun and different lights to look like the ocean, and the paint job looks as good as new! I am SUPER impressed and will definitely use them again if ever needed (hopefully not!) If anyone I know asks for a recommendation for the best body shop in Drip I know where to send them! James worked with my insurance to handle additional damage not able to be determined at time of estimate with ease. James, consistently called with the status of my repairs. Once repairs were complete, James walked me through the areas of repair and made sure I was completely satisfied with his shop's repair work. After completion of repairs and upon delivery, James made sure my vehicle was returned to me cleaner than when I dropped it off. Wow! Talk about a staff that has no clue what is going on. I call to set an appointment and confirm they accept Progressive insurance. I'm assured they do and my agent should contact them with the info and to set and appointment. My insurance agent calls and SETS an appointment. I call and confirm my appointment. The next day I realize I didn't get a drop off time so I call back. I'm then told they don't work with progressive and they aren't sure why their staff told me they do or why THEY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH PROGRESSIVE. I call my agent who confirmed they regularly work with Caliber and isn't sure why they are refusing service. My agent calls them and is told "Well, it's not set in stone but right now we aren't working with progressive. Caliber social media, progressive website, google, Caliber employees all say that Caliber works with progressive but for some reason they decided wasting 3 days of my time seems reasonable. All I can think is they didn't like the estimate from Progressive so just didn't want to take the job. Go somewhere else, these guys are a clown show. read more

Update: After a few months, more debris and flaws are becoming noticable in the paint on my front bumper cover. In addition the wax they used to cover up the scratch that they put in the paint has lost its effect. I'm changing my review from a 3 star to a 2 star because if its literal definition. I have experienced better. This is on a BMW none the less, so if and when I resale the car, it needs to look right. The paint match was well done and they were expedient. My only observation was that their was scattered small pin sized dust/debris and a small groove or two in the paint job of my bumper cover that was replaced and painted. It's difficult to tell in the pictures, but it would seem that their paint bay might need some new air filters or something, nothing major. In my experience, every place has their qualities and sort comings. There was no noticeable eggshell that was beyond that of the factory paint. I have worked with AMM in the past, and their job had no debris, but was a bit wavy in the right light. I would still recommend either place. Caliber was much quicker. I would rate both places as better than most. My only other complaint is that someone working on my car took it upon themselves to liberate all of the coins from my coin holder. They may have done it to clean or wipe down a surface, but if they want to go the extra length to clean (kinda) the interior of cars, they should at least put any loose contents in a ziplock back in the glove box or something. I took everything else out of my car, but I thought my spare change ($5 in quarters for air pumps and car washes) would be safe. Also their was an additional clear coat scratch on my car when I got it back. I pointed it out and they took it back and "buffed it" out. They also sprayed down my car with well water which left white calcium deposits water streaks on it, which is ok I guess, but they mad a point of saying, "hey look we washed it too" and pointing to an automobile that looked like a bathroom mirror after a violent open mouthed tooth brushing session with Arm & Hammer extra foamy. AMM actually buffed my whole car after they repaired it. But once again, I would hold them almost equal when it comes to the body work its self. Take my review as you will. Insurance paid for my work, so I cannot speak directly to price points. Despite any fallbacks, I still would not hesitate to recommend them, but I would also be honest about every detail of my experience as I have been in this review. I have used Caliber Collision on a few of our vehicles (after an accident) and the service and product has been great. But today, I had a different need. I had a piece hanging down underneath my car and called Caliber to see if they could fix it immediately because I'm traveling for the next 3 days!! We've had a very poor experience here. My wife was rear ended in a parking lot and needed a new bumper. I picked this location because it was a preferred Allstate location and had good reviews. We've brought our car in 3 times now and it's still not right. They keep it for several days each time and don't provide the rental even though it's their fault we have to keep bringing it back. The people are nice, but I never had a repair shop do such a poor job. I've talked to my insurance about what our options are. Beware. read more

I brought my Acura MDX in for a relatively small problem with the bumper and one panel. However, I had scrapes and small issues all over the 2011 SUV. Caliber Collision on Fitzhugh is less than 1mile from my house but they are relatively new. Ivan did an AWESOME job and went above and beyond the original repair (paid for by insurance) to clean up the scrapes and dings all over the car. It looks close to brand new.
