I have to say that I am so glad that I went here to get my hair done. It had been years since I have colored my hair and months since I last cut it so she had quite the challenge ahead for her. So I was a little apprehensive because I was able to get in so quickly to the salon. Lydia had several recommendations online so I booked with her. Best leap of faith I have ever taken. She took the time to talk to me first and to hear my concerns etc. I was so pleasantly surprised that she actually took my concerns and wants and needs and turned it into an actual haircut with style. I began seeing Krista when she worked at the Third Dimension salon in Kingston, about 15 years ago. Krista is awesome! She really listens to what you want done and is very honest about whether it is doable or not. Believe me, she has changed my mind a time or two when I have come in with a vision for my hair that wasn't realistic. I had tried this salon many years ago and I feel like all the employees were older and they butchered my hair. I decided to walk-in and give them another shot for a haircut and I was pleasantly surprised!! All of the employees were younger (probably mid 20s) and Bianca did my hair and she was great. She listened to what I wanted and had no problem cutting my extremely thick, curly hair. She even styled my hair and it only cost $30. Anywhere else would have cost $50+! 99% of the time, my hair looks great when I walk out of a salon after a cut and color. This time, no different, it is fantastic from behind. The before and after is like from homeless gypsy to barbie. No matter what it looks like, the thrill is diminished with the price, and it still has the golden tint on the ends that were supposed to be toned. I called around and got different ballpark prices for a cut and color (not foil). I explained that I had waist-long hair that was dark underneath, blonde on top, and grey at the roots (6 mo. worth). I called twice and was given a ball-park of $90 (give or take a little), and the "consultation" was mentioned. I picked the salon for the price. It cost me double, no negotiation, and that ruined the experience for me. I will stick closer to home next time. read more

I'm very happy this time around with my hair. I have such a good time when I go. The young lady sitting next to me colors didn't set right and they fixed her right up, she looked summer ready and beautiful in no time. Speak up people, don't leave upset. They will treat you right. They never try to sell you stuff you don't need, they always give a fare price. I've also noticed Krista for cuts, wow. I love to watch this women clip hair. She gave a bob the one that's high in the back to hang low in the front yesterday and it was beautiful. Bianca is great for my husbands hair and we plan on stopping in today. I have gone here multiple times in my life but last time will be the last time I will every go. I had a gal named Alana (probably spelled wrong) who said she had been doing hair for 3 years and she messed my hair up so bad. I can in as a blonde with a little bit of grow out, my hair is barely past my collar bone and my hair is not very thick. It took her 2 1/2 hours to put bleach on my hair and she made a comment, "at this rate your hair will fall out" trying to joke around but made me extremely nervous because we had,had it on for so long already. She ruined my work top with bleach all down the back of my scrub top from washing my hair and getting water all down my back. She would apply color and the try and tear my hair apart to separate a section off making my scalp sore and making me receive a headache. Then when it came time to apply my new color she ran out of time and was only half way done with the back of my hair (which had taken her 1 hour to do) and she had 2 of her co-workers come and help with the sides of my head. When I came in we talked about becoming a soft brown for fall/winter, my hair was straight gray/silver with blonde splotches randomly throughout my hair. This was horrible and as I was soaking it in she said "oops this isn't what you wanted let's get you rescheduled" she didn't even say sorry or discount my messed up hair. Her co-workers could see the look on my face, being the last one there after closing and they said that it looked awesome and really good try to talk up her horrible work. I will never go there again. I had gone to another salon to get it fixed and they pointed out the gray, blonde and even green splotches in my hair!!!! HORRIBLE!!!! read more

I got a trim today by "the girl with the pink hair" hehe. I was on the search for someone who would give my hair a slight trim while keeping it's length & giving it some body. My longest layer is a little past my bottom & it's pretty healthy cause I maintain it myself. (I know, most professionals don't recommend it). She was pleasantly surprised how I was able to keep it nice healthy. Going on at least 3-4 years of doing it myself, it needed some life from a professional & I was so nervous! She did an amazing job!!! Knew exactly what I wanted & did just that. She only charged $27 for a wash, cut, & style. :) I'm so bad with names but she's the girl with the pink, partially shaved hair. Many thanks to Chasidy for giving my 10 year old daughter a super cute cut. She had been bugging me for a month for a super short punk/edgy cut, which put me in a panic. But Chasidy helped us find an age appropriate "happy medium". We both love it! Hi there. Girl that doesn't trust anyone touching her hair here. I had a bad experience (elsewhere) about 7 years ago. Then my dad met a lady who did hair & I've been going to her ever since. I'm now in WA &...I had no choice but to book an appointment with someone. My bf has been going here to Krista N & she does his hair the closest thing to the way guys in HI gets it done. If you don't know how that is...you better go ask somebody. The fade is flawless & the side burn needs to point just right. Anyway, I figured I'd see her since his do's are always fire. She was very comfortable to be around & she went slow. She's a pro, right? I'm sure she smelt my fear. So of course I shared with her how much I was willing to cut off (I like long lengths) & then I shared about the other things I like - framing, layers, etc. she went slow. She fixed the length, added layers, did my framing & then asked me to check it in the mirror - where at that point I was able to okay her to do one more layer. She shared with me that she felt a film & that the shamp/cond I use uses a wax to make it appear like it's shiny BUT she never forced me to buy their product. Overall, awesome experience. My visit was amazing, service was great & my hair came out to my liking. I don't need to go in frequently but I'm sure I'll forever see Krista from now on. read more

Do not wast your time or your money here. My hair is my everything and I usually choose who does my hair with caution , the first girl I got(Alanna) when I went here I thought would do a good job.... Boy was I wrong !!!! I asked for a vibrant plum purple over my slightly darker brown hair , I wanted the color to pop and look classy . And what I ended up with was roots that where a cheap purplish red color and the rest of my hair was black(took her 3hrs to apply my color). She did not style my hair, she let me leave the salon looking like a hot mess, stained purplish forehead & the side of my face was covered in dye as well. So I emailed them on their website and the next day I had the Regional manger(Brenda) call me, she said to go back in and have the manger working that location(Alicia) fix my hair @ no charge to me and apologized for my first experience (very nice lady) . So I go back in thinking I would leave that salon looking like a new person. Again I was wrong! I was in that salon for over 8 hrs, she bleached my hair first to get rid of the dark color, witch turned my hair a yellow& orange color(burnt red) then I asked for my normal color back (dark brown) with some blond highlights... I got red hair with copper colored highlights , so I again looked like a hot mess. I asked that she just cover it all with a chocolate brown & call it good. So she did, but she missed the whole underneath & chunks under my top in a few places. Now I get to go find someone that will fix what they fucked up 3 times! Thankfully my hair is very forgiving and is not a fried mess. Oh and the original cost on this was $100 , I did not get that back nor did I get my hair fixed ! read more

This is the place I have been going to get my hair cut for the last few years. For the most part, my haircuts always turned out okay, nothing too great but I kept going back because they hadn't done anything horrible, which is definitely a good thing. However, my latest haircut there was a nightmare. I have been crying about it for two days it is so legitimately horrible, and there is no way to fix it. I asked for a simple trim and to fix my layers, what I got was two distict lengths of choppy hair - one the lenght it was supposed to be (just below the shoulder), and the other, the strands were about 3 inches long. There is nothing you can do to fix a haircut like this, though I at least give them that they were accommodating and tried. It is a real toss up with this place - sometimes you will get a good stylist, and sometimes you will get someone who doesn't even know what layers are. I was also unsatisfied with my stylist because she couldn't pronounce my name, and did not treat me with the respect I deserve as a customer with her choice of conversation. Furthermore, when I politely asked for a recommendation of where I could get hair extensions to fix their nearly irreversible damage, they looked at me like a deer in the headlights, and murmured...umm i dont know. Not very helpful. Long story short, you might get lucky when you go here, or you might not. I know I will not be taking my chances again, not that I will be needing a haircut for the next three years anyway. read more

July, 22 2017 Jamie saved me today from a very bad experience that I had at another place a few days ago. My hair was chopped, not cut and lost its body/length. I was devastated and only hopping to get it fixed just enough to last at least 6 months in order to regrow what was taking away so carelessly. Jamie was patient, took her time with me, very focused, companionate and made me feel at ease. Somehow, I trusted her even though we have just met. 3 hours on that chair passed by fast. I never spent so much time at a salon before ( I am a Tom girl), but I knew she had to be an artist with no pressure from anyone to bring my natural look back.
