Went here for happy hour and had a great time! Happy hour went until 6 pm and there were several drink and food specials. I definitely recommend getting there early for the burger - so tasty and only $6! The service was very friendly and the vibe of the restaurant was adorable.

Finally made it to Third Coast after 3 years in Milwaukee and it was a mistake not coming sooner. Everything was excellent, from the service to the ambiance to the quality of food and wine. My server Dominique took fantastic care of me. The ora king salmon entree was such a pleasantly unique dish, it was both light/summery and warm/comforting. The fish was cooked perfectly. Great date night spot. And as others have mentioned, their happy hour menu is pretty enticing. If I wasn't moving in 2 weeks, I'd be back in a heartbeat.

We had a company event here, so I took pictures of every dish we had. The food is good, more on the expensive side. We ate so much that I don't recall any dish that really stands out. The dish on my avoid list: cheddar bay butter, which is very strong and salty. This restaurant is great for date night or event. Ambience:5/5 Food: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Service: 5/5

This was our first time visiting Third Coast Provisions; overall, we had a positive experience. Parking is tough in that area, we ended up doing valet as we couldn't find a spot after circling a few times. The aesthetics are cozy industrial loft vibes; high ceilings that remind you of Third Ward buildings. The coastal decor was inviting and we enjoyed the ambience. We both ordered the Old Instanbul which is their spin on an old fashioned made with bourbon, cardamom-date molasses, walnut & blackstrap bitters and a phyllo rim. Honestly, this is probably one of the best spins on an old fashioned I've ever tasted!!! Highly recommend. Our waiter was very friendly and offered up several personal and popular suggestions. We went with a mix of his recommendations and enjoyed everything. We ordered the grilled oysters which were delicious, pretty pricey at $11/pair but nicely done. Next up we tried the King Salmon Crudo which was an unexpected combo of ingredients that were great on the palette. I don't generally go for raw salmon, but it was extremely high quality and not the least bit fishy. We split 2 entrees, the great lakes walleye and the roasted sea scallops. The pumpkin spaetzle was so good with the walleye, and the dish overall had a nice spice to it - we preferred this one over the scallop dish. The scallops were cooked well, but the risotto was lacking flavor. After dinner we headed downstairs to the new Loon Room speakeasy for a cocktail - that review is to come :).

Seasonal Cocktail with a toasted marshmallow at Loon Room

Highlights 1) Great Cocktails (Loon Room) 2) Fun Atmosphere 3) Nice Service Came to the Loon Room (downstairs bar at Third Coast Provisions) on a week night recently. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to snag a table for 3 right away. The cocktail list is very fun and seasonal! I tried a drink with sweet potato gin and a toasted marshmallow. It was great! Our group also ordered a few appetizers. We did the gruyere fondue, the fish sticks, ham rolls nanas chocolate fondue for dessert. The food was great and it was fun to try a little bit of everything. Service was great throughout and the vibe is cool, dark, moody. Great for a date or after dinner drinks. I look forward to coming back!

Delicious! Loved the cocktails too. Service was great and they got us out in time for a show we were catching.

Went for Happy Hour and it was great. The atmosphere was cozy. The staff was friendly and attentive. We tried every happy hour bite on the menu, each for $6. That included a burger au poivre, fish fry bites, salmon croquettes, and garlic parm fries. We also got one of each of the selected oysters (all east coast and great). Honestly we were able to eat all of the food and it was a perfect amount. We got 2 glasses of the $9 drink selections and tried 2 beers on their beer menu. Overall it's a great happy hour and we'll definitely come back. But next time we'll try to have a little more restraint as impossible as it may be!

Menu for Downtown Dining Week 2025

We came here for dinner and was able to take advantage of the last day of Downtown Dining Week. The atmosphere was great, the service top notch and the food was excellent. I know this will seem strange but the fact that my water glass never went empty was amazing. This was my first time here and I absolutely need to go back!

Third Coast is a gem, literally everything about it. My husband and I have been here before, but this time we really got to see the amazing service the bartenders give while sitting at the bar. Our bartenders were so personable, knew when to leave us alone or chime in for help with suggestions, and even made us shots that they were testing out for fun. The grilled oysters were delicious, I could've eaten 20 more. The scallop crudo was delicious, this dish took your mouth through an experience of the most unique flavors (chile, coconut, avocado, cashew, citrus). The scallops were like literal butter. The pot hole small place was phenomenal, apparently this is a staple at this establishment. The first bite I took, I looked at my husband and told him "I feel like I've died and gone to heaven". There was so much lobster and crab lumps hidden in the holes of this creamy, buttery dish. A plus... the bread was crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. The cocktails were unique, yet delicious! I got The Salzbrun Shake, which has notes of pineapple, cold brew, and chai. I also tried Money In The Banana Stand, since I was so intrigued by the bruleed banana! When I tell you my mind was blown away at the taste of this cocktail... yall!! The bartender who was serving us told me she came up with this drink on accident when she was working a private party and no one wanted to drink the banana daiquiri drinks, so she was left with pitchers of this cocktail and had no idea what to do with it. She decided to concoct a new drink utilizing coconut milk or whole milk with alcohol and an acid (in this case lime, pineapple, banana liquor, and rum). This process is called clarification, which makes the cocktail look clear. My mind was blown when I got my drink and it didn't appear creamy. My husband got a dirty martini with blue cheese olives, a classic! He also got the Pollination Station cocktail, which came with the cutest florals! The vibes were chic, modern. Almost beach vibes, in my opinion. Super classy, tasty place that is perfect for a date night! 10/10 recommend.

Food was great! We got the filet, sea scallops and grilled oyster! Wine was really good and the river of jade drink super refreshing! Atmosphere very nice! Ladies sitting next to us were rowdy but overall good food and ambiance. Our waiter was great witty and funny!

This review is specifically about The Loon Room in the downstairs speakeasy style bar in Third Coast. I would give it a 3.5 honestly. The vibe was cool. It had red lights, hightop seating, and a cozy space. We were there around 8:30ish on a Friday night and quickly found an open table. A waitress quickly came to take care of us. We're doing dry January, and they had 2 options. The Bees Have No Knees was ok, but the N/A Bird Shirt was very good. I would go back for drinks again. I wouldn't recommend this place if you have allergies. Asking the kitchen came across as a hassle. I tried the fishsticks, and I was disappointed. The remoulade was very good, but the actual fish stick was super dry and had no flavor at all. Our friends had the shrimp and said it was really good. They said the fondue with pretzel bites was okay. Overall, it's a pretty cool place, and I'd use it as a jumping off point and perhaps just do dinner upstairs.

Stopped by to celebrate my birthday and had a great time. The cocktails were unique and very flavorful. I ended up getting the "drink that starts with a k", which was new to the menu and very good. The waiter was also very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. For food, we got the oysters, filet, and the scallops. Each dish was great and cooked to perfection. Look forward to coming back again soon.

The one that stars with k
    Carly G.

Celebrated a birthday and was a wonderful choice! Service was above and beyond and made the day very special. Ordered the oysters for an appetizer and the filet and scallops for dinner. Enjoyed the steak and frites. The risotto for the scallop dish was slightly too sweet for my taste. Drinks were well done. Have to try "the one that starts with K" as it is similar to a Manhattan with Japanese whiskey. Free birthdays dessert so we opted for the carrot cake. It was deconstructed with lots of elements. Yummy, just reminded me more of a sticky toffee pudding than carrot cake. Love the inside, very gorgeous with beautiful lights.

How well do they accommodate food allergies like diary and gluten?

They rely very much on their bread to accompany their dishes so I think a person with gluten issues would feel very restricted. I do think they would accompany your needs though as their service was very accommodating.

St. Paul Fish Market is located inside the very busy and popular Milwaukee Public Market indoor shopping complex downtown. It reminds me of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. The only parking option that I am aware of is metered street parking. The building has 2 levels but the 1st floor is where most of the business are. It appeared to me that St. Paul's is the most popular business there. It is a seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. They have a small sit down area for table service dining or you can order your food to go at the counter. After being seated and reviewing the menu I decided to order the same meal I had over 11 years ago. I went with a bowl of clam chowder for $8 to start and then added a fried grouper sandwich ($16) with french fries for another $2.50. The chowder was perfect. Flavorful, delicious and I wanted more (5). The sandwich also was delicious and satisfying made with quality fish, lettuce, tomato, and bread. However while it tasted very good halfway through eating it the bread bun started to disintegrate and then quickly turned to mush before I could finish. Then I needed a fork to finish it. It got messy and I don't like that in a sandwich. It's only for that reason I give an overall 4 score instead of a 5. The french fries were very good tasting too but I had ordered too much food and only had room for a few of them. The table service was very warm and friendly. I believe St. Paul's is a very good choice for a casual seafood meal but please buy more sturdy buns!

Well we knew it was not going to be cheap but I was a bit floored by the tab of $45 with tip and a charge for using a credit card. Put our orders in with a very nice waitress: Me: 3 Oysters, Caesar salad, Lobster Tails Glass of wine Wife: Chopped Salad, LobsterTails, wine BTW. I love to have wine with a meal and enjoy it by the bottle. However in looking at their Wine Book they essentially triple the cost of a bottle. So to have a bottle of champagne was going to put us out over $150 .... for a cheap one. It was offered by the glass for $28. Bread was very good but with cold butter. Hate that. Chopped salad got a very high mark from a salad critic (wife) and my Caesar not so much. Get the one at Cooper's Hawk. for a comparison. The Lobster was great. $74 seems a lot until you go out and but anything comparable. The serving was generous and well prepared. A complimentary desert was offered and it was Chocolate and Hazelnut. VERY highly recommended. My mind had been set on Key Lime Pie so we had that too. Bottom line: $45 bar + $264 dinner+ $61 tip +$10 parking = $380 Would we do it again. Maybe but it was expensive. Barnacle Bud's had a cool decor vibe and moody lighting. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and you could tell she was very excited about the menu and the pop-up experience. She provided exceptional customer service- she went over the menu thoroughly, came back to check on us multiple times, and always refilled our water, which I always appreciate! To start, we ordered wine and the relish tray. Everything on the relish tray was a little too vinegary for me but most of the table enjoyed it. However, the four of us didn't finish it. It was pretty powerful with vinegar flavor. Also to note, there were up-charges for veggies, sauce was $3 extra, etc., so just pay attention to pricing if that's a concern for you. Overall, it was a unique experience and worth checking out.

The colors, the well-placed low lighting, the appropriate volume of cajun music ... all done in excellent taste. The waitstaff is INCREDIBLE. They all seem to be having a great time, when it's slow, and when it's busy, which is important to see; plus, they help each other out. Waiters, bartenders, bussers, hosts, food-runners - they're often smiling and helpful to anyone. Not only did our waiter Scotty take amazing care of us (a group of 10 on a Saturday night, all arriving at different times; and he had many other tables besides us), but his teammates helped bring drinks, clear the table, and our deliver our food. Everything was timely, fresh, and as far as I know, no errors were made with drinks or food. We were all quite satisfied with our meal. The reason I give 3 stars is, for some reason I do not understand, near the end of our meal, we heard a man yelling quite loudly from the kitchen area AT OUR SERVER. The man (manager I assume) was insisting that Scotty was not attentive to us (and I can't discern a single reason why this would be claimed). Even if he noticed something we didn't -- it could have been a moment of quiet criticism, but this dude turned it into a screaming fit. And he could not have been more wrong. In fact overhearing this exchange (right around the corner, within full earshot of us and the back half of the restaurant) was the ONLY thing that soured our otherwise amazing experience. We then watched who I assume was the same guy (red-faced and angry) sit down at a table very close to us, and our server return a moment later somewhat shaken up. It was awful. We made sure to congratulate him loudly on his impeccable service after that. I don't know if the manager heard or not. But one can hope. This was not my first time here, but it was the first time I've experienced anything like this. Like I said, the team seems solid, our service is always timely and kind (and often, incredibly FUN) even when they're PACKED, the food is bangin', the oysters are fresh and delicious, and EVERYTHING is well priced & spiced! So we will be back. But we really hated seeing our waiter treated like that. For anyone who doesn't know - waiters in WI currently make $2.33/hour. This is below the federal wage rate of $7.25/hour for the same job. They survive off your tips. If they're good, they're great, and GOD BLESS THEM - they must do what they do because they love people. This manager did not seem to appreciate what he had right in front of him. But we did!!!! My husband decided on the jambalaya, I went with the crawfish étouffée, and we split the roasted Cajun cauliflower as an appetizer. While it's hard for this kind of stew-like, saucy, veggie/sausage/seafood over rice mixtures to present beautifully, everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. The jambalaya had a little more of a kick than I prefer, but my husband loved it and my crawfish étouffée had the perfect amount of spice without being spicy. The roasted cauliflower was cooked to perfection and was the perfect way to start the meal. Not pictured is the bananas foster bread pudding that was the perfect way to end it. We both left with extra food to take home and the memory of a wonderful meal and great experience.
