I've used Thinq Mac twice now to repair and evaluate two of my apple devices. The first device, a MacBook Air, had water spilled onto the keyboard. Apple wanted $800 to repair the device. Although it had been thoroughly dried --and worked to some degree--we wanted to save it for use by our son. Perhaps a year had gone by before we consulted Thiq Mac. They suggested that they have a look at it and offered us some very good terms for evaluating and repairing it in steps with a guaranteed minimum and maximum estimate. So we tried Thinq Mac and they out performed our wildest dreams. We completely salvaged the MacBook Air through the magic pof Thinq Mac. Of course I had no hesitation when my iPhone's headphone jack was acting poorly. Their first suggestion was that they might have to replace the inner assembly for the jack and the charger port. But before they even attempted to open the phone they gave it a once over and found that the problem might just be the HUGE quantity of lint in the jacks themselves! A great call because that is exactly what the issue was. I stumbled across "thinq mac" quite by accident when attending the IMAX theatre in Norwalk last year. I found them exceptionally helpful, attentive and so easy to work with. My computer was up and running and back to me in no time at all. I gave them a call today. I had a question about some new software I wanted downloaded in my MAC for a class I was taking next week. He was able to look up me records and ask me a few questions and tell me it wouldn't be to my advantage to download the software as it would slow my machine down. I told him I had a PC at home as well and he thought the software should be used with the PC rather than running it in parallel with my MAC. This company is wonderful! My Mac experienced a number of very odd symptoms before it died, and John was able to explain the cause of each of them. Immediately I knew that he knew what he was doing! In an age when no one seems to have reasonably good communication skills, he patiently and clearly explained not only the problems with my system, but also the possible remedies. Unfortunately, my system was too far gone to salvage, so I purchased a refurbished model at a decent price. They successfully migrated all of my files and set up a backup system. Konstantinos is very professional and quick. He emailed me right away to schedule an appointment to fix my shattered IPhone 5 screen and was right on time to our appointment. He worked efficiently right at my parents' kitchen table! I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I like to support local business people when I can, especially when they offer such stellar service. About three weeks ago, my three-year-old iPad suddenly stopped working. I couldn't sign in. I went to Apple and they could not give me an appointment until the following week. I really needed that iPad a lot sooner, and stopped by thinq mac. It was closed because of Covid-19 but one of the owners saw me on the remote and came to the door. I explained my problem. Konstantinos did a fantastic job! He saved me $75 and a 40 mile round trip to the Apple store. He was responsive, knowledgeable and extremely polite...he was able to fix my phone even during the chaos of a busy dinner hour with children coming and going and a dog begging for attention. FYI, the specific problem was the power button on my iPhone 4, which is a well-documented issue that unfortunately Apple does not support...he replaced the part and got my phone working correctly. This is not my first excellent experience with thinq mac. Apple had a ridiculous charge they quoted my son to see why his mac laptop's screen just "died". I told him to bring me the laptop as I always go directly to thinq mac. Problem was diagnosed and we moved forward.
