A few companies responded. One company was booked until September while another company declined. A third company was able to show up the same day to measure and provide an estimate. MacVane Electrical was the fourth company to reply but was the quickest to provide an estimate after I texted pictures of the circuit boxes as well as an approximate distance. I was hesitant due to lack of online reviews. Phil (Sr.) quickly responded in the same evening with an estimate as well as a commitment to show up the next day to do the work. Phil (Jr) arrived the next day (Tuesday) as promised along with Ray, and both got the work done in about 2 hours. Both are super nice guys. Turns out Phil and his father started the company just 6 months ago, hence there are few to no reviews online. They are friendly, clean, and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. Phil Jr was so thorough that after he finished and left, he called the sauna company to verify the type of plug the sauna required. He then came back an hour or so later to replace the receptacle to the correct type. The fact that most of that stuff was added on onsite, and we were able to get a speedy and fair quote and approval was fantastic. The whole team is incredibly respectful, friendly, hardworking, and trustworthy and reliable. Communication was handled in the ways we felt most comfortable, and we never felt like anyone was overstepping or leaving us "in the dark". The work done was absolutely neat, organized, intuitive, and looks better than most of the existing work. They also cleaned every work area they were in, and went above and beyond to accommodate our layout, family, pets, and hectic schedules with other contractors and workers who came and went during their workdays here. I was lucky that the owner was there and he knew that he could fix it while I browsed the shop. I found the perfect shade while I looked around and by the time I finished, so was my repaired lamp!
