One of my favorite drive up coffee shacks in King County! Consistently good coffee, inspired monthly specials, and friendly service

The Starbucks was closed and I really wanted a chai latte, so I decided to try There Ya Go Espresso. I driven by several times and they always have a line of customers. Today, I was one of them. I'm so glad I gave them a try! I ordered my favorite drink: Oat Milk Spiced Chai Latte and it was one of the best I've had! The baristas were friendly and welcoming. The service was quick! I will continue to support this local Fairwood business!

Great coffee. Prices comparable to a Mercury's or similar local places. They have white chocolate americanos which are delicious! Very nice baristas and quick!

Had a little extra time before work, so I got a iced pumpkin latte with oat milk and it was amazing. Will definitely be coming back!

Lattes were fine nothing too special. Prices were kinda high though at 6.50 for a regular latte.

The vibe of this place and the people that make it happen every morning are world class. Life situations kept me from making my way to the shop for a year or so, but when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and a "it's been a while!" The coffee is reasonably priced and imo - best in the area. It's consistent and while I'm a sucker for the 12oz cold brew - I've gone off script a few times and have always been pleased. I've got family that comes into town fairly often, and almost every morning they ask to go because they think about it when they're at home in Chicago. There's plenty of seating, tho it's sometimes so bumping (because it's a great spot!) it can be hit or miss if you can stick around and enjoy the vibe. But generally I've had good luck over the years setting up at a table and chatting with friends & fam before a hike, enjoying the morning with my pup doing some socialization training or throwing a few emails around to my corporate overlords. I've seen ads for their evening events and have been wanting to make it to one, but I always seem to see the poster days or weeks after the event! Poetry nights in a space like boon boona seem like an unbeatable vibe, hope to notice & get to one soon. *Parking is also not hard to find at all. There's a free garage down the street at the transit center that is never full, and tons of street parking*

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #105…read more I first visited a Tra Viet location in Vegas, not expecting it to be a small chain originating in Washington! On the drive up back from Portland recently, we decided to stop by the original location (and only stand-alone store left in Washington) in Renton, down near the Boeing factory. This boba shop is known for serving drinks in essentially soda cans, complete with pop top. It's a unique concept, but it also means that value is less than competitors since the drink size is much smaller. Still, the quality is pretty high, at least enough to get us to visit based on what we ordered at the Las Vegas location. We ordered two drinks on our visit: Classic Milk Tea w/ Boba ($7.25) - No adjustments are allowed in this drink. The drink has a surprisingly strong malty flavor that pairs with the creamer nicely, delivering a thick and enjoyable experience. I believe the drink is premixed, which is why sweetness adjustments aren't allowed. Unfortunately it is too sweet for my tastes, especially since the boba soak adds even more sugar to the mixture. The ice levels, even at 100%, isn't too much. They use crushed ice that's easier to melt. The boba is of the mini variety, soaked well in syrup. They are actually cooked perfectly for this particular variety - great consistent chew and bounce on each tiny little pearl. I normally prefer full sized boba, but this one is very nice. I think their recipe can only use the mini boba - with the normal size boba at this texture, I would probably call it too firm, but it's perfect for the mini. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Jasmine Milk Tea, Less Sweet w/ Boba ($7.25) - This milk tea is very perfume-like with plenty of jasmine flower flavor. With the less sweet option, it's around 50% sweet compared to other shops, which matches up with my tastes. Again, it has good body but no dairy flavor. Overall a solid drink. We actually drank this about 2 hours after the Classic Milk Tea and somehow the boba was exactly the same texture. Usually the pearls start hardening up, but this was still perfect! Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Usually places like this which focus on gimmicks don't exactly serve the best drinks. Tra Viet seems to be an exception. I'd be happy to return any time I'm down in Renton! Bathrooms - I didn't see any in store, but I also didn't ask the bobarista for availability.

I ordered the corned beef and hash, but pointed at the menu while ordering and ended up receiving chicken fried steak. I debated sending it back, but didn't have time. The steak itself was a bit tough still, but the breading and sausage gravy were excellent. Eggs were really good, and hashbrowns were okay. I'll try the home style potatoes next time. Even with my order getting mixed up, I still enjoyed my meal and plan to return and actually try the corned beef and hash. Update- Stopped in for the corned beef. First time having it served like this. Lots of flavor.

I get it, late diners are drag and you all want to go home, but I've never come across this type of behavior in a restaurant before. The posted hours should be your hours - end of story. Couple this with my first extremely poor experience at this establishment, where our server was entirely focused on the owners family, (I know because pictures were up during the grand opening) and I am never bringing my family back. In fact I should have left a review for that travesty of an experience and I don't know why I was willing to give a second chance to begin with. These Fairwood locals will now spend 30 minutes to get to a cafe in Kent with better hours and service.
