I come to this place occasionally and have never had issues until this morning. I was in line at 5:59 (1 minute early) and sat there until 6:02 when they opened the shades to the drive thru window. The young woman just started at me until I said hello. She replied hi back and then proceeded to stare at me. I then told her what drinks I wanted because I wasn't there to have a staring contest. She walks away without a word and then comes back with my drinks and my total. I hand her my card and she asks if I wanted to add a tip. I always tip, especially at coffee stands but I replied NO for the first time in years. She walked away, charged me, and then thrust my card back at me without another word. Sadly I won't be back for a while. The coffee is the best in the area but the service is awful. read more

Stopped by for a morning pick me up and there were about 5 cars in front of me so I had to wait 10 mins. They take about 2 mins or less per order so it didn't seem out of the ordinary. There were a couple of the baristas working - I'd say they were straight to the point which I was fine with (not overly friendly but not rude by any means). The white shark americano is made with white coffee - on the sweeter end but that is what I was looking for. :) White coffee tastes nuttier in general and contains more caffeine than your average cup if you haven't had it before, highly recommend. read more

My family and I recently moved to the area. I was super excited to have a little coffee stand nearby, since they are way better than starbucks. Today (valentine's day) I went there and bought 4 drinks. I always lead with my drink since it's pretty particular. Upon being handed my drinks, I told the girl "oh I asked for white coffee" which I know i absolutely said that from the start. She gave me an attitude and rudely said "thats why I asked you". I responded "yes and I told you it's with white coffee" she asked if I wanted them to remake it. I said "no it's fine since you seem mad". She said she wasn't and asked again if i wanted it redone. I said okay. No apology or anything on her part. Don't know what her attitude was about, because the day before, the girl taking orders was really sweet. As a fellow barista I am annoyed and disappointed to have been treated this way. For the record, the drinks turned out fine, but service is everything and is what really separates one coffee stand from the next. read more

Be prepared to wait for at minimum 15-20 minutes even if there are no other cars in line the SLOWEST service imaginable there is no sense of urgency from the workers. if theres is one car in front of you with only one drink ordered you will be waiting for at least 20 minutes absolutely ridiculous and combined with no consistent flavors you can order the same drink three times each one will taste differently it's ridiculous coffee stand read more

What a great little shop. I saw this place while driving through and had to stop. The line was long but at a place like this when Starbucks or other coffee shops are on every corner, that usually means it's worth it. They did not disappoint! I made it through the drive thru in record time! From the time I placed my order and payed, my latte was ready. I was very impressed. The barista was very courteous and friendly. There Ya Go Espresso is a great coffee stand near my house in Renton. I typically get a 16 oz iced vanilla latte when I go out for coffee. There Ya Go has it reasonably priced at about $4-5. Each time I go to this coffee stand the staff are super friendly but prompt and efficient. Not that I do not enjoy small talk from time to time but another coffee stand, Dutch Bros, can kinda talk your head off. One of the things I like the most about There Ya Go is the consistency. It doesn't matter which barista I get, if I make an order I pretty much get the same product each time which I appreciate. The espresso is good and not burnt as well. Would recommend! :) read more

I went through and asked for a peach smoothie, the barista informed me that there was no peach. She explained the flavors they did have. I said the flavor I wanted. She came back and told me they didn't have that either. There was two options now left for a smoothie, I pick strawberry over raspberry. I left with some sort of bitter mixed berry smoothie that I paid 6.00 for a 16oz. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. read more

I can never remember to come to Yelp and give a review, even though I say to myself, I'm going to give a review!!! But when I am here, I will give reviews to everything I can remember that stood out. There Ya Go Espresso is one of these places that stood out. This place is close to my house and right on my way to the main road I need to get on to get to work. I get coffee every morning and I prefer little spots like this over the Starbucks Giant, which the closest Starbucks near my house does not have a drive through. Okay here is the thing, I started going to this place and the woman at the window is RUDE and extremely unhappy with her life!! I don't know who she is, why she is there or what she does exactly, except for the fact that she makes customers feel unwelcomed. (read the reviews) I think it's on Mondays or Fridays or something when they offer free banana bread or pumpkin bread and the freakin sign says, "just ask". So I did I would ask for a slice and she would give me this snarl of a look, like "yes the signs says free, but you are not one of the people we want to give it to" this chick got close to getting cussed out each time I went there. At first, I was like, what the heck??? Why is she being so rude and making me feel like I am bothering her? I am a customer and I am BUYING something!! I thought maybe she's having a tough day, once I become a regular things will change, NOPE the more I went there, the more rude she was. Someone in another review thought she might be the owner, and I will admit at first I thought that too, but I can't imagine she would put her business in jeopardy with her stank attitude. She is heavy set, shoulder brown hair and wears scarves. The last straw was when I gave her my card and it wouldn't run so I paid her cash. But my phone alerts me through my bank app when there's a transaction. It told me There Ya Go Coffee just did a sale, so I looked and they had charged me. So I walked up to the window and the scarf lady says to me, there's nothing I can do, you have to call your bank and get a refund! B$%^& how about giving me my cash back, you lazy #%#$!????? I showed her my phone and she saw the transaction but yet can't do a return??? I called my bank they were able to put a stop on it, and yes I know it was like 4 bucks, but its the principle of it and the inconvenience she was causing me by calling my bank and having to deal with explaining to them why I had to do a return! And, to be honest, I already didn't like her after all of my previous encounters with her. I felt that was poor customer service and easily resolvable. Needless to say, that was my last time going there. When I get coffee the quality is important to me of course (which this place is not consistent with taste) but to keep me coming back its the customer service. This place lacks that! I came here and they were closed the sign said "come back at 5!" And it was well past 6. This sort of thing really gets on my nerves because I had to burn my gas to go down to my other favorite barista place. Hit or miss with this stand. Sometimes service is great, other times not so much. If you are used to Starbucks then you will need to order an extra shot to make it strong enough when ordering here. *Note to certain employees who expressed concern. Hands down my favorite coffee, but the coffee isn't the problem. I have been going there for years, not every day but sometimes it will be a couple of times a week. The problem is the lady that hands the drink and takes the money. I don't understand why she is there. She's not friendly and I'm not even sure how much my drink cost this morning because she just takes the five and gives me whatever the change is. I've tolerated her the past five times I've been through, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day, or month... This morning I changed my drink omitting a 1/2 shot of flavor and the extra soy I normally get in my Americano. Before she took my money, she confirmed with the owner that I wasn't getting my 1/2 shot of flavor or the extra soy, so I guess my price was significantly cheaper. I still tipped her $1, just like I always do. As I was driving away I hear her say to the owner (who's working in there making drinks and taking orders at the first window), "Well, I guess she learned her lesson!" I guess I did learn my lesson and I won't be going back. I don't need to be treated like that. Yah, so I skipped my 1/2 shot of flavor and extra soy to save myself a buck, but still tipped $1 and I get treated like that? No thanks. I 'll give my money to Starbucks one block away and know I can count on people being nice to me. I miss Misty that use to work at the stand. She was so nice and personable and made a great cup of coffee too. That's the kind of person that should be dealing with customers. Not the short dark haired angry woman behind the counter lately. I've always driven by this little espresso shack and continued on to Starbucks, but when I learned (through Yelp reviews) that There Ya Go Espresso served Caffe D'Arte, my FAVORITE coffee roaster, I knew I had to give them a try. And they did not disappoint. My usual drink is a black Americano. There is no hiding behind sugary syrups and creamy cover-ups. Either the coffee is good, or it isn't. And theirs is great! Add to that the fast, friendly service and the price (just slightly cheaper than Starbucks), There Ya Go is a winner, and a great opportunity to support independent coffee shops, practically right in my own backyard. I think they only put 2 shots in a 24oz americano so order an extra shot if you actually want to taste the coffee! I frequently stop off here on my way to work as they're one of the few places I know that has white coffee which I love. They are really quick, always recognize you and know what you order (even though I order a few different things, they always ask which I want) and the coffee is always good and spot on; not like some places where you get a different taste depending on the day of the week and shift you go through at. read more

i've only been here once but it was a pleasant experience. it was a saturday afternoon and the girl working was very friendly. i'm not much of a coffee drinker, but i'd definitely come back here. they do have tea, but not a wide enough selection. my only complaint is my americano was way too hot and she filled my personal cup to the brim, so i had to pull into one of the parking spots with an open cup in one hand to pour some out to put the lid on. read more

I have been coming here daily, and would've given 5 stars a few weeks ago. However, the owner apparently made a staffing change, and now there is a different M-F morning person. The previous person had memorized my order from the second time I visited, was fast, friendly, and got my somewhat picky order perfect, time after time. I looked forward to my morning coffee, but now, not so much. My order hasn't been right since the new person started, and I'm thinking of finding a new coffee place. My employer has a coffee stand that is 20% cheaper (with tips prohibited!), but I came here for the service, which has sadly declined with the staff change.
