This is a solid choice for coffee in the PNW. As a mom with young kids, convenience is key and if it doesn't have a drive thru, it's not worth it. Thankfully CE has drive thrus. Although I wish they would open their menu to more seasonal offerings and fun flavors, their drinks are yummy and they are consistent. For this reason, I usually go to BigFoot for their monthly rotating flavors, but come back to Cafe Elite if I'm in the area because I know it'll be good (and it's not Starbucks). One of my favorite parts is that I can add a scoop of protein to my coffee milkshake so I can pretend to feel good about my choices Their service is good and I never am made to feel rushed. read more

No walk ups from dusk-dawn. Lady inside eith the blonde hair and the purple coat didnt even bother to open the windows for me. At least be a person and have a conversation to say "no we cant serve you" instead of hiding in the back. Very disappointing. read more

Today (12/27/2022) we went to try Cafe Elite for the very first time at this Kent location. We ordered two drinks & two French Toast Monte Cristo sandwiches. The sandwiches tasted different and stale, noticed the baristas ripped the tags/nutrition labels off both of them to try to cover up that they were expired sandwiches!! One of the sandwiches still had the date on it, "Used by 12/23"! No wonder they tasted old even after they heated them. They should not be serving EXPIRED food/drinks to customers. These sandwiches were not cheap either! The mocha drinks we ordered do not even taste like they have any espresso/caffeine in them. I walked up to the drive-thru window today while going down the Green River Trail. I tried the Red Bull drink in the pink strawberry base. I also bought a sausage and bacon breakfast burrito which comes with mild salsa. Super delicious! Definitely will be coming back soon. The staff were nice and helped us decide on the drinks. Horrible experience. The prices on the sign ARE NOT ACCURATE. It says a 32oz lotus is $6.50 AFTER I ordered they told me it's $8.50!!!!! I mentioned the sign price and they refused to honor it. Next, the barista is handing me the drink and AFTER it's in my hand says "it might spill" because of the fizzy lotus, IT SPILLS ALL OVER MY CAR, STEERING WHEEL, PANTS, FLOOR. Barista saw this and only offered me napkins. When I asked how much everything was with my cake pop they said it's $11.53 I gave $20.53. They gave me back $8. I asked where is my other $1? Today is their grand opening and they were doing free drinks so we went and ordered hot chocolates. Other than they could have been a tad warmer (IMO) they tasted great. They did not have the bitter flavor like some places do *cough cough* Starbucks. I'd much rather support smaller businesses anyway. I love the look of their building! It's so cute and inviting. I don't know if there is seating upstairs but that would be a great idea in my opinion. There are 2 drive thru's for easy access to whatever direction you are traveling on meeker! I did not see any snacks on the menu but maybe they will add more later. Like cookies, brownies, muffins or ?? Good luck on your business venture! read more

I used to come here often when I lived in the area. I came back and noticed the old staff is all gone now, which is unfortunate because I didn't get that same coffee experience this time around. Not bad. We got iced mochas to have a good comparison to other coffee stands. It was pretty tasty. Our barista was friendly and wearing a mask, but her nose was poking out. I agree with the other Yelpers that they do need to be more aware about proper mask usage and covid protocols. Other than that I wouldn't go out of my way for them. The barista was rude. We've been hopping coffee shops around Kent and we have not been treated the way we have in any other shop. She didn't greet us except with a short "what can I get for you". After every drink we ordered (we ordered 4 for the 3 of us in the car), she responded with a curt "anything else". It just rubbed all three of us the wrong way and it was a little upsetting. All of us work within the coffee industry and as a barista myself, I would never have treated a customer that rudely. We were patient when we were ordering and we weren't difficult either (as we ordered specials with alt milks). It's not like we didn't tip her (we always tip). It was just a really bad customer experience with mediocre coffee at best. We only liked the energy drink. I wouldn't come here again. I'd rather drive a minute down the road to Mighty Mugs for exceptional coffee with exceptional customer service. read more

I think this place is relatively new. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT BEFORE EVERYONE FINDS OUT!!! This place will undoubtedly be bananas when people get hip to it. After being burned time and time again at that Starbucks down the street I thought I'd try this place. There is NEVER a line! Like I said though come now because in a few months they'll find out. This place is dope because it's all drive thru, two-sided even. The baristas are always friendly and attentive. I don't know who does their beans but their drinks are supremely respectable. I really enjoy their coffee and their smoothies as well. I haven't even gotten to the the good part yet. Their prices are profanely affordable. Not bad but not great either. We ordered drip coffee which was good, nitro cold brew which lacked the full body thickness that it should have and an americano which was good also. Customer service was friendly though she was new and needed extra time to fulfill our order. First of all, this place is usually great. The 2 stars are from what I experienced this past weekend. I would have given 0 stars but that didn't seem fair to all the other times I've been there & everyone has been awesome! I'm all about supporting local, & small businesses & I've been stopping here regularly since they opened. I pulled in Saturday afternoon - no cars in line. I waited a few minutes since sometimes they don't notice you right away.. After several minutes I did a quick beep on my horn.. I waited a couple of more minutes but then I wondered what if something was wrong? I've become familiar with most of the baristas and worried something might be amiss so I opened my car door and knocked on the window. A girl I hadn't seen before came to the window (with phone in hand and seemed irritated). She opened the window and told me she was on break. WHAT?! I was COMPLETELY dumbfounded. I said "Break? So are you closed?" She said "no, I put a sign up in the other window" (on the OTHER side of the drive-thru)...I said "so can I order a coffee, or what do I do?" I didn't know what I was supposed to do since I have NEVER encountered this at a coffee stand before. She said "I sit in the back while I'm on break so you can wait until I'm done, or come back". Ummm, no thank you! I was so hoping this place would make it down here since this area could really use a nice little coffee shop, but after that day, we shall see... On a side note: My husband has gone there a few times & waited several minutes and no one EVER came to the window so he ended up leaving. Now I'm wondering if they were on break... I'm all for breaks, but post something where everyone can see it instead of having customers just sit there wasting their time. read more
