Loved the coffee here! Cold brew and espresso are great. The staff is super friendly and gave my dog a pup cup because they saw her waiting outside. They have plenty of good seating inside but also a drive thru. I love how many sugar free syrup options they have!! They have even more regular syrups! read more

My friend lives in Maple Valley and suggested this cafe I'd never been to so I was super excited to check it out. I love the vibes of the location and how spacious the cafe is. There was so much seating and the view is incredible, I'd imagine this is the perfect spot to spend a sunny day being productive. I ordered my go-to 16oz iced oatmilk mocha and was disappointed when the flavour was sickly sweet. My friend loved her tea though and my croissant was incredible. The baristas at the counter were super welcoming and friendly. Even though it was my first time in Maple Valley, they treated me like I was a regular. The service was efficient and their condiment bar was fully stocked. I can't wait to go back soon! read more

Great place to meet friends, or just hang out and relax a bit. The staff are friendly and fast. Coffee here is always good, and the lunch portions are great too. Have a variety of snacks, and they have a good wine list. The happy hour prices are very reasonable. Haven't used the drive thru as I prefer to sit there. The patio is nice when the weather allows! Plenty parking around the vicinity. read more

I stopped by in a Saturday afternoon to meet up with a friend. It was really warm out but it was sooooo Loud inside so we decided to sit on the patio so we could hear each other talk. She had iced tea and I and a sugar free white mocha. We both finished our drinks and enjoyed them. Just dropping a star because they could have turned down the music and it would have been a nice apot to catch up. read more

This place is local to my temporary home and it's AWESOME!! I actually came here with my wife and her group party that was held upstairs. Great meeting space, where I was able to hook up to their tv and use it as a monitor from the computer. My wife hosted a "travel" party where a gal from TX was leading the party via Zoom. Very cool! We ordered all kinds of treats, charcuterie boards, coffee and tea from downstairs, and some mimosas. All in all it was a great venue, very accommodating services, and the food and drink were delish! As always, Enjoy & and Happy Traveling! read more

Great place now! So happy that the owner hired some wonderful girls! I didn't come here for years because of the staff. It's night and day from what it was when it first opened. Now you are greeted with sincere smiles and no attitudes. Love that there are no TV's and no loud music. Baristas care to pull good shots and food is made with care. We only wish the pastries were better. Everything else is top notch. But oh goodness those pastries never look appealing. Sad because that's the only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars from us. read more

RISTRETTO'S COFFEE AND WINE: WHERE SOMMELIER MEETS DONKEY SANCTUARY Listen, their single-origin Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is a transcendent experience that'll make your taste buds speak in tongues. Their wine list? A carefully curated collection that would make a French vineyard owner weep tears of Bordeaux. BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE ABSOLUTE JOY OF WATCHING MY DONKEY, FRANCISCO, DELICATELY NIBBLE A CROISSANT WHILE JUDGING EVERYONE'S COFFEE ORDER? Sure, their 2018 Barolo pairs perfectly with their charcuterie board, but have you seen a miniature donkey in a bowtie (his name is Professor Hoppington III) critique someone's macchiato technique with a perfectly timed "hee-haw"? The acoustics in this place make donkey brays sound like Italian opera. Their pour-over coffee station is a marvel of precision engineering. Whatever. Because I just witnessed the most beautiful thing: a donkey named Jazz Hands doing a little dance after tasting their day-old tiramisu. The barista now saves all the mascarpone-soaked ladyfingers specifically for him. He has a LOYALTY CARD. Yes, their natural wine selection is impeccable, featuring small-batch producers from obscure Croatian villages. But let's discuss what's really important: they have a dedicated donkey water station with filtered spring water served in vintage crystal decanters. My donkey, Sir Clips-a-Lot, has become such a regular that he now critiques the water temperature with subtle ear movements. Their cold brew is aged in whiskey barrels, cool story. But have you seen the monthly "Donkeys & Desserts" social hour? Last week, a donkey named Cappuccino (no relation to the drink - he's just Italian) conducted a masterclass on proper biscotti dunking technique using only his lips and exceptional timing. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their coffee bean origins, but you know who else is knowledgeable? The resident donkey sommelier, Merlot (yes, that's his name), who can identify wine regions by the sound the cork makes when it's popped. He works for tips (mostly carrots). Their happy hour features award-winning wines by the glass, but the real show is watching the daily "Donkey Diamond Service" where formally dressed donkeys in bow ties and top hats deliver bread baskets to tables using specially designed saddle bags. They never spill. Not once. Five stars for their beverage program - their commitment to craft is outstanding. But INFINITE stars for creating the world's first coffee shop/wine bar/donkey social club. I've started hosting my weekly book club here. We never actually discuss the books because we're too busy watching donkeys critique people's wine-swirling technique. P.S. I heard they're installing custom-height bar stools for donkeys next month. I've already reserved one for my donkey, Lord Wellington IV (he prefers to sit at the bar while enjoying his sparkling water with a twist of hay). P.P.S. The espresso is pretty good too, I guess. But seriously, watching a donkey named Prosecco help the staff curate the winter wine list by pointing with his hoof? *wipes away tear* That's pure magic. Note: The health department has certified all donkeys as emotional support sommeliers. They wear tiny health inspector badges. It's adorable. read more

*Ive only ordered espresso or energy drinks from the drive thru* 1. No prices in any menu item. Was told by order taker that there hasn't been prices for "quite a while" since they changed the prices because they would have to order new menus. ~my advise is get a different menu board that allows you to post the price. Give "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" vibe. After I ordered(a 32oz Red Bull flavored spritzer), the lady said "see you up here". I had to ask what my total was because I like to get my money ready for when the window opens... She said "give me a minute"... I was floored when my total was $10.61 That's $2.00 more than I've ever paid for that sort of drink even at Dutch Bros. Place just gives off a snotty vibe. It's the third time I've ordered from them, the other 2 were for lattes. The lattes were mediocre to say the least. After this experience, I can say it was my last visit. Ironic to have this snooty feeling wine bar almost across the street from the PlaMore tavern lol!!! read more

Such a fun place to have cocktails and light bites! They have a lot of different cocktails to choose from and a great menu for when you want something fast and fresh. I love their lemon drop martini the best, but have had several of their drinks, and I love them all. They have charcuterie boards, flatbreads, loaded tots, and much more. If it's a sunny clear day, you even get a view of Mt. Rainier! read more

The place seems to be popular and the setting and atmosphere is lively. It has an aura of the Pacific Northwest with the wood, rock and brown tones Feng Shui. Greeted with enthusiasm and a smile, one feel the welcome immediately. Interesting food menu with a vision of having a carefully prepared entree and yummy choices. I chose a Burrito since anymore the availability of Mexican is common and their simplicity would seem a breeze to make. So I was surprised they were outsourced and took a pre-made Burrito and tossed it in the microwave and when handed to me it had hot sauce in a tube. Maybe the Burrito is just an option for the kids or out of town customers but I would hope they would up their game and make it equal to the other entrees. I also ordered a 12 oz regular coffee to chow down my processed egg and mostly potato "veggie" Burrito but sadly the coffee was just warm and not hot, which surprised me even more since I would think they would know what a hot cup of coffee would mean to coffee drinker. read more

Food is good. Coffee is nothing special and inconsistent. Dining there and getting a glass of wine is fun to do.

Met a friend here for lunch. Got here before 11, so we were limited to the breakfast menu. The layout of the place looks inviting. Before 11 am, you order at the counter.. after, table service is offered. The breakfast menu is limited so wait for lunch, if possible. The 1st table we tried to sit at wasn't even wiped down. It wasn't busy enough in there for them not to wipe down tables. Meh. We ordered 2 coffee drinks and a oj for her lil man, breakfast burrito, Monte Cristo croissant sandwich, and a sausage, egg, n cheese for me. Honestly, except for the Monte Cristo, everything looked and tasted like it was microwaveable sandwiches. The bright side, the coffee drinks were good. But I wouldn't come back for anything else. read more

I go through the Black Diamond stand a couple times a week. Great staff. They're always so friendly and service is fast.

Service once again seems to be hit or miss. Tonight we stopped by and tried out the new Ultimate sandwich which was great, ordered a couple of glasses of wine, and our food came out perfect. But I finished my wine about a third of the way through the meal, and certainly would have ordered a second and perhaps a third if someone had bothered to stop by the table. I'm not sure if our original server went on break, or was done for the night, but she joined two gentlemen at the table next to ours. The other servers seated other guests, took their orders but left us alone. Two weeks ago I was there, and the service was great, enjoyed dinner and 3 glasses of wine. So it really is hit or miss on the service. read more

I returned to the normal person that makes my drink and got good service however the response I received on here from management is telling me I drank a significant amount of the drink. We're you there? Because I know for a fact I didn't. And she took my 1st drink. Why not give that back to me then. And honestly blaming the customer and saying I drank most of it when I know I didn't. But now I really won't go back. Your not accepting accountability and saying I'm wrong is less than appropriate in customer service setting. So I paid 10 dollars to drink maybe 2 oz of the drink that tasted not the best? Was it drinkable yes? Is it how it normally tasted NO! So drink it anyways it's your MOTTO! Right read more

Interesting little place here in Maplevalley. It's both coffee and wine so you're getting your 5 AM and 5 PM all in one. They don't serve their actual menu until 11, so I got this pre-packaged little loaf from Mama D's farmhouse baking Company in Auburn The baristas were just OK they seemed a little irritated honestly. Maybe she was irritated with me because I've never been here before? I just moved to the area couple months ago and had a doctors appointment; I thought I'd pop over here for coffee. They do have a drive-through which is kind of nice but I decided to go inside. The barista took my order seemed agitated that I was there but I had never been there before so I didn't know any of the menu items or what they typically served. I was looking around and noticed a different menu, but they only serve this after 11 and she was very prompt to tell me to not look at it. It was only 1045 so I could've stayed and ordered, but I guess not. She then told me that there were breakfast items that they served and that's when I said sure I'll take a "berry loaf" and she promptly snagged this one from the tier and kind of just threw it on the counter. The one she grabbed was raspberry coconut; not exactly what I call Berry. Either way, it seems kind of nice but honestly didn't seem that clean. There was a lot of knickknack things around; the wine was semi-displayed nicely but that's just my opinion. There wasn't a coffee situation and a bar situation it was very all intermix which kind of made it very confusing as a new customer. I felt very much like a bar but it was coffee....???? The barista's were only half wearing their masks which I guess it doesn't matter if people are vaccinated now (6/14/21) I was going to sit down but couldn't figure out the Wi-Fi; whatever password they had wasn't really working for their guests. Popped in the car, took my first sip of the coffee and it was horrendous it was super black dark espresso tasting like not really sure what happened so I ended up mixing it and then it tasted like a normal macchiato. Not a pleasant experience. If I was sitting there and taking my first sip, I probably would've gone up to the counter and asked them to make it again for me but I had already left at that point. It's a tossup if I'd come back here read more

A first time visit after a long while!!! Ordered a Chocolate Chip Vanilla muffin and a Grande Caramel Frappuccino, no whip, extra drizzle. Got my items in a very timely manner, the employee who took my order was very courteous and friendly. Had to use the restroom inside and it was pretty clean. Parking was totally packed, though, for a Thursday afternoon at 2:20 PM, 4/20/23. A whole lot of people were eating, drinking and socializing inside, as all of the tables were occupied. This is a lovely coffee & wine shop located in what used to be the middle of nowhere, now turned into a small shopping center. I ended up coming here twice over the weekend since the snow forced me to stay up on the hill. The first trip was for coffee. They had several specialty drinks available and I went with the Sweetheart. Do they have oat milk? Why yes, yes they do!! I don't remember what went into a "Sweetheart," but it was really good! Definitely nice to be able to sit down in the coffee shop and chill. Bonus points to the fireplace! Very low flame so it almost looked like it was off, but clearly radiating heat. I went back for lunch the next day. They have a "limited menu" right now, but it's two pages so it's really not that limited -- plenty of options!! I opted for a veggie panini with chips and some beer (on tap!!). Now, when someone says "panini" I think of a hot sandwich - something that's been at minimum heated, but most likely grilled...perhaps on some sort of machine known as a "panini press." As you can see the the photo, there are some marks on the bread, but it wasn't toasted or warm in any definition of the word. That being said, it was a good sandwich and I'd eat another one. My dining partner went with the "Ristretto dip," basically a very nice helping of roast beef with fancy espresso au jus to dip it in. Like mine, the bread was not toasted, but the sandwich was good either way. Overall this is a great coffee & wine shop that has a great atmosphere and definitely worth checking out! read more

Coffee was great! Drive through was convenient! Definitely recommend this coffee spot!

Well, This isn't my first time here but it is my first review. I've been here about 5 times & Whether it be for a Quick cup of coffee in the A.M or a place to grab a glass of wine has always been a good experience. The staff is friendly always & including the owner if you happen to catch her and ask like I did " who's the owner?" Haha Anyhow, the photo I posted is of their seasonal Harvest old fashioned & it's a fun addition to their seasonal menu and worth a try! Even if you don't like old fashions... I had a spinach artichoke dip today & last Friday when I came I had their cheese and meat board for the 2nd time and as always it was well displayed and good! Give this place a try and if you come alone like I did I know you'll feel comfortable enjoying your own space yet not lonely with how sweet the staff is! Thank you ristrettos staff for being so kind and friendly and even engaging in a friendly conversation in the little time you have to offer even a 30sec interaction beyond taking an order and moving on.
