I stopped by here on my way to the furniture market. It was good and only $10. I wanted to have protein and fresh vegetables, something more well rounded than a fast food restaurant. It's conveniently located near hpu. To go plates are weighed at the register. Checkout was was easy. I enjoyed the sushi and it was being need fresh. Families were enjoying meals there. Gloves were available at the buffet to encourage sanitation. There was such variety for all diet types.

The restaurant is very clean, the food is good but can be a little more seasoned. The staff is welcoming and attentive to their customers. Me and my boyfriend were seated right away after being greeted. This buffet differs from the other buffets by serving roasted duck and korean short ribs. They also have fresh sushi and sashimi daily.

This is one of the buffet with better quality of foods The location was a bit far - we drove 35 min to get there but it was worth the drive. All on weekends. We've been there 3 times in about a month. bbq bar - my fav is the bbq pineapple. Very good. Hot foods - lots of selection - including duck , steamed fish , crabs , crawfish, frog legs. And all other usual buffet selection. Dim sum - they do change week over week which is nuce - steamed dumplings, chives dumplings. My fav - chicken claw. Pork feet. Hard to find in other places. Salad bar - cold shrimp and other seafood selections. Sushi - all the common rolls , periodically, broiled eel, and other seafoods. Dessert includes ice cream. Overall a very full selection for buffet and I like it because there are specific Chinese dishes included. It's it's any closer to home - we probably be here every week.

Modern, brightly decorated, open and welcoming! They have a bright plant wall for social Media. We did dinner so was pleasantly impressed by the sushi bar option. The greasy smell was not lingering in the air like typical buffet places. Service was very attentive. They had a good wide selection of options (loved the sushi, seafood, & soup). The very last aisle was all fried food. Pricing was reasonable for the quality and selection of food. Has good selection of seating options (booth, tables, private room in the back). Deducted from star for extremely loud music pipping into the restroom, cleanliness, & diaper changing station set-up in the ladies room

We went and had a family dinner here the service was good. The food was just OK. Nothing really got you overexcited I understand what rising the food cost, but the price I felt was very high for the quality of food. Place was very clean. It looked very nice on the inside.

I am not sure why this place has such a bad review. The food is so good, the servers are super nice and attentive, the place is clean and cool, so make sure to eat your hot food faster lol. Everything my family and I had tasted really good, they have like 5 different soups and the sushi is a lot. I would recommend this place to anyone that wanted to know where to go for an all you can eat in high point.

The buffet interior has been updated with brighter lights and the food looked fresh and was delicious. Sushi, Chinese food, grilled food, seafood and American food. My favorite chicken was the orange chicken. The staff seemed to be consistent going to tables and tending the buffet food items and cleanliness. I'm excited for a new and yummy place to have Asian cuisine.

The perfectly cooked soft center, the crisp exterior, and the sticky ssssaaaaauce it's covered in... It's savory and heavy enough to be a meal but I was being generous and decided to share the appetizer with my spouse. They do offer a spice scale and they don't hold back. I foolishly tried the spice level 3 (out of 5 being the hottest) and should have chosen a 2 spice level. But the cauli was so good I fought through the pain. Worth it. I could have easily stopped there but we also ordered the garlic naan (also yessssss) as well as the Lamb Korma and Chicken Vindaloo. Both those entrees were delicious but the Korma really stood out to me. The rich and creamy sauce was very unique to my pallet and when I returned, I ordered the Chicken Korma. Clearly I love a good sauce. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, very spacious and would be great for groups or a romantic dinner for 2 (or 3 if you are into that sort of thing). The service was excellent and our server was patient when we ask questions about the menu. Fortunately, a lot of the dishes have descriptions on the menu so you have a good idea of what you are ordering. Looking forward to returning to Peppers again .... for the cauliflower... and the naan....

We were seated immediately, and given time/space to look over the menu, but with our server still hovering nearby in case we had questions or were ready quickly. When we ordered, the server explained the 1-5 spice scale, gave recommendations, and even asked about allergies. After the food came out, he continued to check on us. This is definitely not one of those "abandoned in the corner and ignored" type of establishments. We started with an order of chili paneer, with spice level 2. It was perfectly crunchy and super flavorful. Level 2 has a nice kick to it if you sit for a minute between bites, but it doesn't necessarily light you up either. It is a great level if you're sharing something with someone a little more spice-hesitant. I love paneer, and this appetizer had a generous portion that could easily be a meal for 1 person. For my main, I got the Chana masala, spice level 3. This was absolutely delicious! Spicy, warm, flavorful. Chickpeas had the perfect texture -- not too hard nor too mushy. As a spicy food enjoyer, level 3 was a nice level that is hot and ~just~ starts to make my face flush, but isn't overpowering. A "conversational" level if you will. I could easily order this on a work lunch and could still eat with decorum. We also got garlic naan, which is always a hit, but done absolutely perfectly here. Pillowy, soft, fresh, and generous with the garlic.

The sushi also tasted old with the some of the rice crusty. I didn't see the usual sushi chef I was used to. A lot of the dishes I liked were hot but still tasted old. The second visit was at 2:30 and I expected some of the dishes to be old since it's an off hour. But it was worse than expected. Crusty sauces. Old and soggy fried foods. Just bad. Worse, the sushi was ancient. It had been made hours before and all the rice on the rolls hard. I would have enjoyed the nigiri, but he wasn't making any. The chef was just standing there looking around. I pointed out that helge plate was empty, but when I returned the plate was still empty. Every time I went here, about every other month, I always saw the same sushi chef and unbelievably he always remembered me. He kept all the sushi fresh and usually replaced stuff as fast as it was taken. Maybe I just missed him both of these times or maybe he no longer works there.

This time I came back by myself and tried the noodle bar instead, and it's a completely different experience but still worth it. The noodle bar is set up like a small Korean grocery store station. Shelves of instant ramen to choose from, you grab your bowl, add your noodles and seasoning, then use one of the machines to cook it. There are three settings and I used M1, which came out just right. The broth was hot and the noodles had a good texture, not mushy. This is a basic setup. No fresh toppings, no eggs, no extras to dress it up. Some places offer that, but this one keeps it simple. If you go in expecting a full ramen bar you might be disappointed, but if you understand what they're going for, it works. And don't break your noodles. Leave them long so you can slurp them the way you're supposed to. If you watch Korean dramas, you've seen this a hundred times. Slurp the noodles and drink the broth after. I also ordered the Cajun tiger roll, 10 pieces, and that plus the noodles was more than enough food. The roll had tempura shrimp and cucumber inside, topped with spicy crab salad, spicy mayonnaise, and flame-seared salmon. The sushi chef used a handheld torch to sear the salmon right in front of me, and that added a nice finish. Between the noodles and sushi, I was full. This is a good option if you don't want to do the full all-you-can-eat. It's quick, easy, and you still get a good experience without committing to grilling at the table. I'd still recommend this place for groups, but now I'd also tell people not to overlook the bar if you're by yourself or just want something lighter. Must order: Instant ramen (use M1) and the Cajun tiger roll Heads up: Noodle bar is basic with no fresh toppings, manage expectations accordingly

I threw the suggestion out to Sally and she thought it would be fun to try something new so she picked me up, we got on Gate City Boulevard and drove west until we found this place in a small strip mall. The outside won't necessarily draw your attention, but once you step inside this simple takeout/ dine in spot, the experience is totally different. As soon as we walked in we were approached by a gentleman who must have been the owner. He was incredibly kind and appreciative of our patronage. He explained all the dishes and a little bit about the company itself. This guy was full of pride about Seafood Destiny and I was impressed. Besides dining inside, they offer takeout and catering services. He was particularly proud of some of his dishes and when he told me that the crab legs was a special tonight for $20, I knew that was the best fit for me. You pay at the counter after you choose your selection and then have a seat and wait for your food to arrive. We were the only ones in the restaurant, although I did see a few people pop in for takeout. I could not help but wonder with it being so empty whether the great reviews would match up to what they claimed. I got my Diet Coke from the fountain machine with unlimited refills which always makes me happy. After chatting for a while with Sally, this huge plate came my way. The crab legs special for $20 was amazing. Not only did it have plenty of crab legs, but it came with a half-dozen beautiful shrimp with excellent seasoning, turkey sausage, corn on the cob and delicious scalloped potatoes. I ordered a side of asparagus. Although it was tasty. I don't know if the asparagus was worth $5. On the other hand, the main dish was a real bargain!! The food was delicious. Sally ordered salmon with pasta and loved her dish as well. I just ate and ate and ate and ate and eventually devoured the entire dish. Boy, that was good. No doggy bag here! We were each served a special dipping sauce from the Seafood Destiny. It was sweet and tasty but I was happy to just devour the fish as is. It was well seasoned and scrumptious While we were eating, a young man came out to chat with us. Something told me he was the son of the owner or he was indeed the manager or both lol. We had a nice chat about the place and it's history and he really appreciated our visit and hoped we would spread the word. I will! We arrived at 6:30 and before we knew it it was 8:00 and the place was beginning to close. I devoured my last crab leg, got a refill on my diet Coke and we headed out. Both Sally and I discussed on the way home what a delicious meal that was, how lovely the owners and staff were and what a shame that there not more people in the restaurant. I am hoping that was a fluke on a Tuesday night because Seafood Destiny definitely deserves customers. The place was simple, but the welcoming staff, the good priced seafood meals, the plentiful portions, and most of all, seeing the incredible pride and love the owners put into this place made it a winning combination for me I'm always a big fan of family owned operations and Seafood Destiny deserves your patronage. Whether it's shellfish or salmon or grouper, I highly recommend you head over to this place. As unassuming as it is on the outside, the inside was a delicious and welcoming experience!. I will be back and I hope to see you there!

While it's a relatively impressive looking storefront in a rundown and half empty shopping center, I have always had great experiences with the food. Items are prepared fast, fresh, and always taste great. From working here, I know that many of the items on the menu are made fresh in a house (eggrolls, chicken teriyaki appetizers, sauces, etc.) and you can tell from the fresh quality. Like many restaurants at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, China City closed their storefront and transitioned to a strictly takeout or delivery model.
