I especially love the sirdar jewelspun chunky with wool yarn (color blend: mother of Pearl..check out my video for how gorgeous these colors were) where I managed to get two beanies out of a single ball! But the best thing here are the lessons by Carrie Au. I'm a teacher myself and I can recognize an excellent teacher and Carrie is absolutely that. With just two lessons from her, I was able to basically do everything I needed to make 90% of what I could ever want to make. I then had spent a couple of months crocheting different things and came back for another more advanced lesson. Carrie knows all the yarn arts and can do things both right and left handed. And she has so many helpful tips that she's learned from experience that I never saw on any YouTube video or website tutorial (and in fact there are popular things out there i learned from her were NOT good things to do). If you want to learn (crochet or knitting), so worth coming here to take lessons (beginner through advanced). The other benefit is that their yarns and hooks are good quality so if you start here, you'll have such a better time and be more likely to continue.

It is an open space with all sorts of art supplies, tools, and just about anything your imagination can muster up. Lots of inspiration. I was hoping to make more than just one small block and have different supplies like fabric for printing. It was very therapeutic to carve my small block. The class felt a little scattered - but it was a very easy going environment, super relaxed. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.

Their dry and wet felting tools and materials selection is comprehensive, and in my experience, they're always willing and eager to answer any technique questions I might have. There is also a nice selection of knitting needles and crochet hooks. The owner and employees are all extremely sweet and helpful while being great at letting you browse around at your own pace. They've custom ordered yarn for me on multiple occasions and are diligent about keeping in touch about the order. There's a nice setup toward the back of the shop for classes or just dropping in to knit for a bit. They have a knitting book lending library too!

Their inventory is all arranged by size, so your smaller strands like sockweight will be toward the front of the place while your thicker worsted and aran weights will be in their little back room. Yarnivore 1/6/2026. 1…read more Happy New Year to me as I dusted off my knitting needles and bag which has been hibernating these 5yrs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The store is absolutely lovely and has a large and varied selection of yarns and all things knit/crochet. I opted for a class to help me jump back in to my long lost hobby. Suzy teaches 12pm-2pm and invites us to bring any questions or projects we need help with. She was a delight to meet and helped me remember things I had forgotten from projects I had left unfinished as well as start a new HAT with a new wool yarn that I bought at the store. Cathy helped me at the counter and was so very welcoming and kind. She invited me to wait in their sitting area which is super cozy. I was surrounded by example projects and even a knitting "bowl-stand-table" that was hand made wood from a local wood crafter. I included it in my photo of the sofa area. It is so pretty. I'm satisfied with my class today and have knowledge to finish what I had started and a new project on my circular needles Thanks Suzy and Cathy for your help today. I reached out to the shop and unfortunately they didn't have any more of the yarn I needed. Then, the next day I received a message, they found the yarn I needed! They shipped it to me right away. Wonderful customer service. I WILL definitely be ordering more yarn from Nan's Needleworks. I love to support local yarn shops (even if they aren't local to me).

I came here to look for office supplies for my business. I must admit, they sell a lot of different…read morethings. I didnt know that, and it was a very nice surprise. I found some things I wasn't looking for, but that I needed and wanted. I saw beautiful pieces I wanted just for myself, like separate or broken jewelry pieces--a clasp here for a necklace or a link for a watch. Also, I recently picked up an old knitting habit and wanted to replace some old yarn. It was nice to see an area dedicated to yarn, other crafts, and other hobbies. I can say I really got lost inside the store, discovering so much. I saw some frames to purchase to make a gallery wall. So, I will say this: if you need to revise a place or restock on some office supplies, please come here. Or if you just need some ideas on creating a space in your home, come here; it's a place where anyone can get a lot of ideas and inspiration.
