I made the drive down and the gentlemen who worked there asked me what I was looking for in terms of comfort then walked me through my options. I made my selections and two days later the cushions were ready for pickup. My sofa feels brand new and so much more comfortable than it was before that I can't believe I didn't think to do this sooner. And the cost of getting foam for all four cushions was *very* affordable, especially when compared to what it would have cost to get the work done by one of the upholstery stores in town. Friendly staff, this place has a little bit of everything. Boutique baby items, funny cards, lotions and sprays, high end PJ's, dresses/tops (Johnny Was), toy section for that last minute bday gift (Legos, books, other toys) and you don't want to go all the way into Bee Cave or Austin to get it. They also have a whole area in the back if you are in the need of reupholstering your house goods with many different fabrics and textures. Originally, we decided to just replace both furniture pieces because they were pretty beaten up. We looked around a bit and everything was either too expensive or poorly built. Looking around definitely made us rethink kicking our old expensive Natuzzi couches to the curb because the frames were so well built. Enter Jose and the Austin Furniture Upholstery Team. We tried two other upholstery shops and Austin Furniture Upholstery was the only shop that could match our original microfiber material at a reasonable price. The fabric was half the price of one of the other shops as well. They even made arm covers for the pieces as well Their pick-up & delivery fee was reasonable as well. One shop told me I would have to arrange someone else to pick-up the furniture. All that said, I highly recommend Jose and Austin Furniture Upholstery for your next upholstery job.

Fabrics of all colors and patterns are packed into here, on shelves or even pews, making for an enjoyable browsing experience. They also sell plenty of other useful items/tools for quilting. Many gorgeous quilts hang from the walls above your head, serving as inspiration. If you're looking for inspiration, they also sell tons of pattern/instruction sets, as well as fabric bundles that have the exact right amount of fabric already enclosed. I always like to make my own patterns, but they had a great variety of them at different challenge levels. Everything was reasonably priced around $12/yd. What impressed me most about this shop was its employees, who were very friendly and affable. Their interest in chatting you up about your on-going projects and the like felt genuine, not just a customer-service schtick. The proprietor even showed me her "long arm" machine in the back room, which she had set up actively stitching away on a massive quilt, laying out a stunning stitched pattern.
