This is a small spot just like a lot of beach places, but oh it was so good. There is street parking and a public lot just across the street. There may have been more parking in the back but I am not sure. It was a rainy Saturday so I am not sure if that affected the crowd, but we were able to immediately get a table just before noon. The servers were friendly and took drink orders right away. We ordered an omelette and a scramble. We both enjoyed our food immensely. The omelette was flavorful and the chorizo in the scramble was delicious. The biscuit was interesting as it said it was fried, but very moist. The gravy is a milk pepper gravy but no meat, but pairs great with the biscuits of their home style potatoes. We are tempted to go back tomorrow since we are from out of town, but will probably try something else. Will definitely visit here again when in the area. read more

The corned beef hash is homemade, the rub used on the hash brows was developed by the owners son. And the owner himself is very present and hyper aware of his clientele. We tried the Grilled Biscuits and Gravy. I didnt find anything that stood out that made them taste different with being "grilled" but no matter, they were delicious! The gravy was amazing. My husband ordered the Piggy Mama Mia. It was delicious and a lot of food! They had a kombucha mimosa, which I had never heard of. I tried it and it was different, but very tasty. This was a busy place and lots of locals here. You could see the friendliness between the employees and regulars. They servers knew their orders, drinks and even dog's names. I had planned a bike ride here based on recommendations and confirming it on the website. But when we arrived they no longer had outdoor dining on the back patio as shown on the website. Even sitting inside, if willing to wait in the line, is really a no go for cyclists with no where to park their bikes. There are so many good places in Carpinteria for breakfast and it is a shame this one had to be crossed off our list. Breakfast!!! Most important meal of the day! Small and welcoming - Server Joe made us feel at home with some Hawaiian Local Jams! My daughter ordered Pumpkin Pancakes and they were so good, not to sweet and you can definitely taste the pumpkin - the fresh strawberries on top was a plus. Bacon pieces were thick and juicy! I ordered the Turkey Club Sandwich on Sourdough and I devoured that too! No skimping on the protein. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes topped off the sandwich and the sourdough was toasted just right. The fries were to a light crisp just the way I like it and seasoned just right. My brother had the Linden Omelette which was stuffed with onion, bell peppers and corned beef. This is a late review but better late than never. We stopped by at this place to grab a bite on our way up north. Place is small but service was fast and food gives you that homey feeling. Our meal was very good, our server which was an older woman saw me hugging my fiancé's mug of coffee and she was kind enough to give me a warm water in a mug so I can keep my hands warm.
