I have bartended and worked in bars in various roles over the years. I understood under pouring - to pour less alcohol then the customer purchased or regulatory required. There was three of us, a $217.00 bill, and it was not till we were leaving that how badly underpoured the drinks had been and how poor the place was. I did not notice the strength of the drinks dropped after the second one. I should have but was not really paying attention. Read the regs on the AZ Dept of Liquor, Audit Board opens on Monday will be pursuing any options, pointless most likely. Let the buyer beware, but I do not do trendy rub joints, normally. Sadly to day, my experience at this establishment was HORRIBLE..... 1. Upon entering my party and I was advised there was open seating, however the inside was full.... And there were seats at the bar.. 2. Sat at the bar, ordered a bottle of wine. The bartender said there are no bottles of wine... uh? Bottles of wine are on the menu. I had to point out the wine to the bartender & low & behold, a bottle of wine appeared.... 3. Tasted the wine, advised on the taste, then the bartender argued stating he/she, couldn't just open bottles just for tasting.. imagine that..... Fun little cocktail spot in a booming and restaurant inundated part of Phoenix. Which makes it handy for walking to for a before or after dinner drink from one of the surrounding establishments. We happened to come later on a Sunday evening. There were only a few people at the bar-very quiet (apparently the evening event had just ended). Which was fine by us because we just wanted to enjoy a quick cocktail before returning home after dinner. Much to our surprise it was also happy hour all day on Sunday. I had a French 75 which I rarely find on a menu and it was very good. My friend had the Egg White Whiskey Sour. I tasted it but we both agreed it was a bit on the sweet side. The crowd was very eclectic, which is one reason it made it so fun and one of the reasons we head into Phoenix from Scottsdale, just a different vibe completely. This place is great. The live music is amazing. I've been coming here for years, pre-covid and have always loved it. The only peeve I have is that the bartenders wear black shirts, but the manager from what I have observed, dresses like a homeless man who has no respect for himself or his staff. Bums me out :/. I found this place online so we had to try it out. We thought it was going to be live music but there was a DJ playing music. A nice place without door seating. The bartenders are all great. We ordered a bunch of special cocktails and they weren't bad, could use a little more alcohol in them but tasty. The cry was mixed all ranges ages and nationalities which was good. The DJ was on point plan old school jams from the 80s 90s and the 2000's. I definitely come back to hang out at this place. read more

Wow!!!! What an awesome way to spend your Friday night! This place is too cool!! The ladies and I (about 12 of us) gave the Womack a try last weekend. It was the perfect way to end a long work week. The handcrafted drinks are sooo good. I have the Ole' Fashion, one of my friends ordered the the mule, everyone else had wine I believe. The food was delightful as well. Among the 13 of us we all ordered different items and shared them. Some of our favorites was the meat and cheese board, the meatballs, and the roasted vegetable player. We went to The Womack for happy hour, around 4:30. The band however didn't play until 9 so we had a lot of time to kill but couldn't drink anymore for obvious reason. Went this past Saturday for the Tongue Pop brunch and it was absolutely amazing!! The drag queens were so fun to watch and the service and food were great. Sweet VIP welcome and a champagne cocktail as we entered, but the bar staff was amazing and one of my favorite bartenders in the world (Tony L) was pouring drinks. That made it not only a great surprise but made for that exceptional welcoming. The Best old fashion I have ever had, and I have had many. This one was expertly crafted, with a beautiful 3X3 chunk of ice, great citrus skins, premium bitters, luxardo cherries and an amazing rye whiskey. They transformed the former Apollo's Lounge into one of this cities most relaxing and welcoming spaces, it beat expectations. I have tried this place 3 separate times to make sure I had the review right. First time I never got service while sitting at the next to the well, after sitting for no less than 15 minutes. They asked me to go to the well line because they were busy. Mind you I am sitting at the bar one foot from the well/waterer spot they asked to go to about 16 inches to my right. I was with my Partner; we are gay, and they the staff seemed to a little put off by us. Tonight, I ordered a well Rum and coke, for a quality top shelf price the coke was flat as a bord no fizz and no rum taste at all, meaning a splash of what had to been watered down bottles. When I asked the bartender if he accidently just proud a coke? Then I found out the issue. they only 05 oz pour per. Ahh. there is the issue. 1 oz is norm per any bar. I do not see what people see in this place. It lacks quality service and seems to discount the LGBT folks, my advice, save, your time and money. Do not go here. I never write reviews but had to take my time to I am old and really do not care reviews and usually just move on, but this place is terrible, and will make you feel bad about yourself. read more

Came by on a Thursday night after having dinner down the street at Mora. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't overly crowded but there was still a good amount of people. We ordered drinks at the bar and hung out. I got the champagne cocktail, it was ok a little too tart for my tastebuds I wish there was a sweet component to even it out. The music went from oldies to pop so the people on the dance floor could utilize it. It is a smaller bar, limited seating so be aware if you're planning on going with a large group. Also, they do have 2 small tv's above the bar if you're concerned about missing the game, no need to be! My girlfriends and I visited this past weekend (Saturday and Sunday) celebrating my upcoming wedding. Our Sunday visit was disappointing. Although the bartender, Aaron was wonderful, I'd recommend the manager take some lessons from Aaron on how yo treat customers. His ego ruled and overshadowed our entire experience. Inside was relatively empty and I asked Aaron if he could change the music. As Aaron changed the music, the manager immediately stepped in and said "we don't do that". "It's ok for now, but do that again. I was taken back because, 1. I'm a customer, 2. the place was practically empty. As we were leaving, I went to thank the bartender for his services and Mr. Manager came in to listen to what I was saying. I'm sure he thought I was asking Aaron to change the music again (after he'd changed it from my request). I shared my thoughts about my experience, including my interaction with him. He wasn't interested in what I had to say and neither did he apologize. While my feedback may go on deaf ears, I'm hoping Mr. Manager reads this. No one is excluded from critique, especially when you're in the business of serving people. You never know who you're serving! read more
