Drive by here all the time and have never been - but went here to grab a birthday drink with a friend who has never been either and we LOVED it. There was live music, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food and our drinks were amazing!! We had the purple pink skies, the she's a rich girl (best gin drink I've had in awhilllllle, and a glass of Pinot). When we left we saw another restaurant we hadn't seen, so I went to look it up and was literally so shocked that the Womack only had three stars???!!! We left talking about what other times we could come back, since we came on a random Wednesday and wanted to see it maybe on a Friday night or heck, even on a random Wednesday because it was so great! There's plenty of patio space with misters, and the inside just transports you to this great speakeasy, dark and moody cocktail lounge...just perfection. We cannot wait to go back to the other dishes and drinks!

If you're looking for live music on a Tuesday night, this hidden gem is the place to be! Happy hour ends around 7 and the band comes on around 8 PM. It's very intimate, cute for a date night or girls night. I got the bees knee, I'm a gin girl and the bartender even added a peach syrup that was to die for! We tried the truffle mushroom focaccia bread and it was absolutely delicious. I wish they had a marinara sauce, but they do have ranch and bbq. I will definitely be back and they play jazzy music most nights if the week. You can tell this is a local secret because it wasn't over crowded but every one came to hear the band. Flute, trombone, keys, guitar. Such a fun experience

Just 7 friends living it up on a Friday evening during happy hour (Tuesday-Friday 4-7p) after work! There was live music on top of the incredible ambiance of the place and us having a good time with each other. Our server, bless her heart, had to deal with our tomfoolery... again, always an amazing time at the Womack!

Friday night happy hour visit. Limited amount of booths and a decent amount of bar seats. Outdoor patio seating as well. Drinks were good, as well as the pretzels. The bartender was a little slow. Live music in the corner. Low lighting with adequate lamps throughout to assist in viewing menu.

Stopped in for drinks with Hubs and had a great time. We had drinks and listened to the live performer for a few. It was a Friday night so they were pretty busy. We found seating at the bar and had a great time. Our drinks were really good!

The service was very nonchalant... we went for a drink on a Wednesday around 7pm and they were not busy whatsoever but once they take our drink order they come back with a glass full of ice and less than half of the cocktail I asked for and tbh it tasted like they forgot the alcohol. Idk that I'd go back.

But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

The atmosphere was unique, the bartenders were genuinely engaging, and there was a real sense of community that made every visit memorable. It became my go-to spot to bring friends from out of town and every single person I brought absolutely loved it! Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic. It feels less like a neighborhood gem and more like a stop on a nightlife circuit.

Carry On actually called me to confirm our "tickets," which I thought was really cute. The whole experience kind of started a couple of days before our actual "departure time." They also reminded us to park in the Renaissance Square parking garage under Wren & Wolf, and they were able to validate our parking for three hours. We had to go to Wren & Wolf first to pick up our Carry On tickets. We got there early, and they let us relax in their couch area while we waited for our departure time. The walk from the Renaissance Square parking garage to Wren & Wolf was easy. You just follow the signs, and the whole walk is inside the building, which was perfect because it was so hot outside. While we were waiting, we could order drinks and chill, just like being in an airport lounge. When it was time for departure, we walked outside the building, and Carry On was right around the corner. You won't miss it because you'll see the Carry On Air flight schedule above the gate door. Right on time, we were greeted by a friendly flight attendant. Once we walked into the cabin, it really felt like we were inside a first-class flight lounge. Our flight attendant served us drinks right after we sat down, and we also ordered more cocktails and snacks from their menu. The captain spoke to us over the speaker, just like on a real flight. As we took off, we could even feel the seats moving. Looking out the "window," we saw buildings, clouds surrounding us, and even experienced turbulence I'm not going to tell you too much because I don't want to ruin the experience. I'll let you try it for yourself. I think it's definitely worth giving it a try. At least for us, we loved it.

You can only catch the thunderbird sign on the front window. This place is such a nostalgic place/ the retro walls, the wooden panels, the decorum and games, the lighting, everything. The guy behind the bar was swell. He was just chipper and jovial and it was great. I had a house marg (was on special for $7) and my friends had some Mantucky Cold Snacks. He said the crowd is usually such good vibes and that the place is well known for the patio in the back (I didn't get to peek outside before we left!) but I did see some warmers from the inside... seems like a nice wide open space to host groups. They host different themed events on the weekends, and there's usually no cover unless it's a special event. The vibe is laid-back with a retro dive bar feel, and I've noticed a mix of different types of people there, all seeming to have a good time. The back patio often turns into a dance floor when there's a DJ or music playing. Inside, the space leans heavily into the retro theme. There are a few arcade games, a retro-style phone booth, and a living room area that looks like something straight out of the 70s, which adds to the nostalgic atmosphere. Ordering drinks can be a bit hit or miss. The bar inside can get a long line, and there isn't waitstaff walking around taking drink orders. There is a small window connected to the bar where you can place drink orders, almost like an ordering window, which sometimes works better than waiting at the main bar. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge. There is parking in front of the establishment and in the same shopping center, and you can also park across the street. Just be aware that towing can happen in some areas, so it's worth paying attention to the signs.
