The Wired Rooster was suggested to me and so I stopped in. It is a charming business in Caledonia filled with art. The staff members were friendly and on top of things. They have plenty of delicious sounding food and beverage items. I ordered the caledonian panini and it was freshly made and hit the spot. I paired it with the berry hibiscus sweetened tea which was so refreshing on this hot day. Definitely worth a stop in! Can't wait until i'm back in the area so I can try more of the menu! read more

A favorite lunch spot of mine. Why? The atmosphere is my kind of place - quaint, comfortable, and country style decorations. It is the perfect place to hang out with friends or by yourself. The staff is friendly, helpful, and nowledgeable. There is not a lot of turnover plus it is not uncommon to find the owners onsite which makes it easy to creat relationships. I could eat lunch at the Wired Rooster everyday. Oh yeah, I almost do. :) I love the soup served during the cold Midwestern months with a grilled cheese sandwich. The everything bagel toasted and smothered with cream cheese is the perfect mid-morning snack. For a drink I either order an iced vanilla latte or a refreshing glass of the popular wild berry hibiscus unsweetened tea. Lastly, I love the name, Wired Rooster. It is so creative. Enjoy your visit. I've never had a bad experience from this place and we have been going there for about 2 years now.... The Caledonian panini is so delicious, I love their white mocha which is like a macchiato, or the raspberry white chocolate. A must-stop location! This is a gem! I was in the area for work and looking for lunch spot and some wi-fi to connect to my office. I am so glad this was recommended to me! Food & Bev - I had a fantastic pannini sandwich that was served quickly and hot. I would have taken a picture but it was too good to wait. I also enjoyed a great Chai Tea Latte. Prices are reasonable. Vibe - Really great atmosphere with a fun, uniquely Caledonia vibe using locally sourced artwork, crafts, and refurbished furniture. What a great addition to this small town. I've been frequenting Caledonia for 20+ years to visit my wife's family and have longed for a real barista crafted coffee. The service by the owners was so down to earth and friendly, that would be reason enough to return. However, locals and visitors alike should make The Wired Rooster a routine destination based on the quality roasts, the growing epicurean offerings (must try a panini my next visit), and the small batch-constructed Wisconsin hard packed ice cream. The owners did much of the demo and build out work themselves and the atmosphere rivals the upscale yet completely approachable urban coffee house environments I enjoy in the Twin Cities. Owners / managers were exceptionally helpful and courteous. We were on a long, hot 4th of July bike ride and pulled up just as they were closing. They let us in anyway, served us graciously, and even refilled our water bottles with ice water! Coffee was delicious as well! read more

I love going to the Wired Rooster whether it's just for a cup of coffee or for lunch. Their sandwiches are fantastic and it's one of my favorite stops.
