Hot tenderloin

Conveniently located right off highway. Country home cookin' at its finest!! Large menu, breakfast served all day, which is always a huge plus! Big selection of desserts...so save room! We made the trip from out of town & it was definitely worth the trip!

bacon cheeseburger with massive serving of mashed potatoes and gravy

Very busy but got seated right away. Server was awesome and very nice! I got the beef and noodles special and it was delicious! My daughter got a bacon cheeseburger with mashed potatoes. Those were enough for 2 people! I was on my way to the Twins game and stopped here seeing the sign on the highway. Glad I found this place, highly recommend!

Looks like they didn't appreciate the bad review and erased it. That's poor customer service all over again.

We stopped in for a late lunch. Companion ordered a massive omelet and cherry pie for dessert. Reports the omelette was tasty and the pie was delicious. Because I was fighting a cold, I ordered a poached egg and banana cream pie. The poached egg was overdone and while the pie looked delicious, the meringue left something to be desired. The pie crust was flaky and the banana portion was tasty. I didn't eat the meringue...artificial taste.

We're driving from New Orleans to Northern Minnesota and stopped here for a "quick bite". OMG I've never had such amazing food (order the pie!!) with down-home flavor and service. This is a hidden gem and is definitely marked as a favorite on our maps!

Excellent food and service! Old school atmosphere. We stop there anytime we are in the neighborhood.

Overcooked food with bad service. Cute cafe with high school pictures on the wall but I was shocked by how rude our server was.

Pub At The Pinicon - Pork tenderloin wings and onion rings

Pub At The Pinicon

A couple of visits inform this review, which is 4 stars because one must take into account other…read moreoptions in the area, which are few. That preamble out of the way - I like this place! The facility is faux-English pub, with a woody vibe and lots of nooks and crannies. Servers are earnest, friendly, and very helpful, albeit not polished or slick. So far I have sampled the "pork wings" (breaded and fried slices of tenderloin - AMAZING!!!); the Reuben (solid, though weirdly served with Thousand Island on the side, not on the sandwich); the platter of red onion rings (crazy delicious, if a tad salty); and the spinach and artichoke dip (very cheesy - mmmm). Friends and family have ordered the Walleye (looked wonderful), the nachos (a little odd and not recommended), the chicken fajita salad (unexpectedly lovely), and the ribeye (a wonderful cut of meat, sadly very overcooked). There are lots of beer choices and more varieties of wine than I expected (they carry Malbec!), well-poured drinks, and the one dessert we tried (my birthday girl caramel sundae) was lush. A word on portions and value: portions are HUGE. You'll probably need a box. Prices are very fair and seem low to this city girl: great value for your money! If you are in the area and want a nice sit down meal in a cozy, friendly spot, this is the place.

Our group of 17 had an amazing dining experience at Pub at the Pinicon. Several had the pork…read moretenderloin and most left with doggie bags for a meal the next day. We tried the breaded shrimp and the lobster Mac & cheese. Both entrees were delicious. You won't leave hungry or disappointed with the quality of food and serving size. Service was wonderful and we had our own room. Give it a try soon!! It was well worth our hour drive!! We will be back!!
