Oh my gosh, all I could do, when it came out, was laugh since it was SOOOO much food on one plate. They take a meatloaf sandwich and then throw a gallon of mash potatoes and gravy on top and this thing was just a sight to behold. It was almost too pretty to eat. It was so good too. Beat meatloaf sandwich I have EVER had! Just like before everyone there is amazing (Thanks Ashley for amazing service) and thank you to the kitchen staff for such amazing food every-time we stop by while in town for work.

The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful and the vibe was relaxed even with most of the tables occupied. There's no outdoor seating as it's basically a corrugated barn on the outside so no dogs allowed. We stopped in on a road trip for some pie and it didn't disappoint! I'm a fan of raisins and chess pie so you know I had to try their raisin pie with a mountain of meringue. It was exactly what you'd expect and I recommend splitting a slice between 2-3 people since it's so decadent. The rhubarb fluff pie was an unexpected treat. We got the last slice and it was the best part of a midwestern church basement "salad". The frosting was incredibly dense, almost butter, so that made it texturally hard to eat. I highly recommend stopping in for food or even just some pie to go.

This local yocal sandwich shop (I'm kinda like Joey) is #onthereelsfolks :). They serve soup in the summer and it was red pepper with Gouda and it reminded me of my favorite IC sandwich shop; The Red Pepper Deli with all the Hawkeye gear....I ran into the owner once and I almost asked for his autograph. I went for the vegetarian because vegetarians get all the attention and A got ham & salami. Everything was Dlish and it's the perfect spot before you ball your eyes out and drop off your kid back at college or camp....anything is better with a full belly and then your kids can take their dormies here:).... We tried the breaded shrimp and the lobster Mac & cheese. Both entrees were delicious. You won't leave hungry or disappointed with the quality of food and serving size. Service was wonderful and we had our own room. Give it a try soon!! It was well worth our hour drive!! We will be back!!

The facility is faux-English pub, with a woody vibe and lots of nooks and crannies. Servers are earnest, friendly, and very helpful, albeit not polished or slick. So far I have sampled the "pork wings" (breaded and fried slices of tenderloin - AMAZING!!!); the Reuben (solid, though weirdly served with Thousand Island on the side, not on the sandwich); the platter of red onion rings (crazy delicious, if a tad salty); and the spinach and artichoke dip (very cheesy - mmmm). Friends and family have ordered the Walleye (looked wonderful), the nachos (a little odd and not recommended), the chicken fajita salad (unexpectedly lovely), and the ribeye (a wonderful cut of meat, sadly very overcooked). There are lots of beer choices and more varieties of wine than I expected (they carry Malbec!), well-poured drinks, and the one dessert we tried (my birthday girl caramel sundae) was lush. A word on portions and value: portions are HUGE. You'll probably need a box. Prices are very fair and seem low to this city girl: great value for your money! If you are in the area and want a nice sit down meal in a cozy, friendly spot, this is the place.
