I chose this restaurant based on its great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. When I walked in to pick up my order, the employee assembling my food wiped her gloved hands on her pants before continuing to prepare my meal. She also used those same gloves, which were covered in food and sauce, to bag my order. The outside of the takeout containers and bag was greasy, and after seeing how my food was handled, I couldn't get past it. I only ate a few bites before losing my appetite. I also got the pita chips, but they were extremely dark and tasted like old oil, as if they had been overcooked or fried more than once. We had been driving all day and were passing through, so I was really looking forward to a good meal. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and honestly grossed out. Visited Cedar Falls on my drive home and wanted some Mediterranean food. This is a great place for it! I had the traditional shawarma and garlic fries. So tasty and very fresh! I was famished and it was a good amount of food. There's a little seating inside but I think most get it to go, there's also a good outdoor eating space nearby. They then proceeded to enter our order into the system, but then did not let us know that part of our order was unavailable until after we had placed our order. They then asked us what we would like instead so they began working on that part of the order. we arrived at the store at 5:30, and we did not get our food until over an hour later. All the while other customers were being helped, and I personally had to go ask them for reparations for the longer wait. Not a good experience at all. I was feeling a burger and something quick while I was working away from home at the college in Cedar Falls. My hotel was just down the road from this place and Yelp had given it good reviews. I just wanted a good burger and fries without the frills so I decided to give this place a shot. The menu is pretty straightforward. There is about a dozen sandwich options with sides including fries, rings, etc. This place is in between a fast casual place and a sports bar. Employees are super chill and the space is very much the same, fits right into the university corridor culture. I like that it has big windows that you can sit by and people watch while you wait for your food to come. I settled on The King Burger and a side of fries with garlic aioli to dip them into. The burger was just I was craving. From the burger to the bacon, all of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Fries were the awesome battered kind and served hot and crispy. The fry dipping sauce was great, definitely don't skip on the sauce! Even though the patty was cooked more done than I usually order, it was still juicy and flavorful. Decided to try this place simply because I liked the name and, MAN, were we glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious. It's not a big place - simple, with just a few tables. Clean. The two gentlemen behind the counter were easygoing, friendly, and helpful in explaining how their menu worked to two first-timers. We both opted for gyros and I also wanted to try their falafel so we got two of those as well. The gyros were amazing. Tender. Flavorful. The tzatziki and cucumbers were a refreshing complement to the perfectly cooked lamb. Just the right amount of messy that you'd expect/want from the perfect gyro. But let's talk about the falafel. O. M. G. They were so crispy on the outside and the inside was fluffy and light. Well seasoned. Amazing. Hands down the best falafel I've ever had and I fully intend to order them every time I go back. I resisted the baklava while we were there, although it looked delicious. After eating, I was so full I couldn't have had another bite, so it was probably for the best. In retrospect, however, I wish we had purchased some to take with us as I'm sure it's every bit as good as everything else we tried. I can't wait to go back. Absolutely fantastic burgers and fries. I had The King with garlic aioli fries. The forties were cooked perfectly crisping the outside and nice and moist on the inside as they should be. The King had great flavor with a nice crunch to it. About the perfect size as well. My son had the Wake N'Bake burger. It too was very good. I finished it for him. He got the chili cheese fries. OMG...yes the name is fitting. It's a walk up order and sit place. You can pick up as well. The dining area has 6 tables and bar like (no bar) seating. The servers were friendly and the food came out fairly quick. Now let's talk about this food....HELLO this burger was pretty tasty. Not dry, melt in your mouth halal beef! The La Casa De Fuego brought the fire. If you are a bland eater this burger isn't for you but if you want the tasty heat it's all you. Longtime OMG lover trying the newly rebranded OMG tonight. Exciting to have a Mediterranean restaurant in town! We especially liked the falafel and lamb. Make sure to ask for extra sauce if you order a bowl or plate. Basically the plate is just a larger bowl with an extra protein. The premium items were a little on the small side for the increased price. The two baklavas were solid but not amazing, but it is fun to have fresh baklava in town. Service was super personable, which was great. We will go back, especially whenever we have a vegetarian family member or friend in town. But, we all agreed that we miss the burgers and we really hope they can find a new home for an OMG burger joint. read more

We were starving after our escape room experience. We escaped and it took a lot out of us so we needed food. We were in search of a Five Guys. Judge us if you must but sometimes greasy food does wonders. In moderation of course. After searching we found there was no Five Guys in the Waterloo area. So we ended up trying Oh My Grill. First time comers and I will tell you it will not be the last time we come here. The atmosphere was that of what a small burger joint should be. Plenty of natural light as well. Young hip vibe. A pleasant man greeted us at the counter and took our order. He did not freak out when we asked to split a classic burger basket. And he also let us do the garlic Mayo sauce on top of our fries. When the food was done he brought the burger split with our fries in two burger baskets. It was very nice of him. The garlic Mayo on the perfectly crisped fries were everything. My better half looked at me and after eating and said "we will be back." And I agree. We will be back but next time I'm not sharing and I'm requesting the damn Mayo sauce be on my burger. A fast casual burger joint. It was our first time, the cashier was extremely patient and made sure that we had time to thoroughly browse through menu. Price was fair. They have delicious shoestring onion rings! I got the grilled cheese with American and Gouda cheese. I'm glad they didn't skimp on the cheese. Visited Oh My Grill on College Street in Cedar Falls for the first time on Monday June 20th. We got there at about 12:30pm and were able to walk right to the counter and order. (Oh, did I mention this is a counter order restaurant?) We had taken the time to review the menu a bit prior to arrival, and I would suggest you do the same, as their burgers are rather "over the top." For example, I ordered the The Wake n' Bake, which is a burger pattie layered with a hashbrown pattie, grilled pepper and onion, an over easy egg, american cheese, halal beef bacon, and house-made maple glaze. (picture included.) My wife got The King, which was a beef pattie including crispy onion strings, halal beef bacon, mayo, pickle, barbeque sauce, and smoked gouda cheese. We both gave the burgers 5 stars. And, check this out ... when the burgers and fries were served to our table, a dish of their special "dipping sauce" was included, and it was perfect for the fries!!! Now ... you've all been waiting, so here it is. A restaurant like this, in a location like this (2 blocks away from a major University) has to go the extra mile to succeed. Yep, I paid a trip to the restroom and was VERY MUCH IMPRESSED with the cleanliness. I would encourage the management if they read this, to keep it up, as everyone knows how tough it can be to set a high bar in a college neighborhood. read more

On a road trip and found this gem. Burgers were fresh and made to order. I got the Jr Burger and it was just the right size for my smaller appetite - bonus it comes with fries.
