Ginger Thai Cuisine is a small spot that might be missed as it's not on Main St. but don't get it wrong, Ginger Thai Cuisine has food that can compete with all the major players there. I didn't think I would find good Thai food in Iowa but here I am knowing I'll be thinking about that Pad Panang months from now. Only negative was that they were out of their Thai Tea. I really wish I could've tried it. read more

This is the smallest portion of pad ped I've ever seen in my life. This cost over 15 dollars for a scoop and half of rice and half portion of red curry.... read more

Ginger Thai cuisine - Thai Near Me - Cedar Falls, Iowa

A far cry from authentic thai food, but a serviceable option if you are really craving thai cuisine. The pad thai is way too sweet. The thai tea has a weirdly chalky taste to it. Still, this business is worth supporting. read more

Great little spot. Very friendly with fresh and delicious food. Call out to the bicyclist who recommended the rd curry to me (I love curry). It was so light and fragrant. The perfect lunch dish! read more

First of all let me start by saying this is a gem in Iowa. Want ethnic food with homecooked feel in a restaurant? You're at the right place. Not only the food feels homecooked but the people/ family running this business will make you feel right at home. Halal too. Yes, you read that right, halal thai food in Iowa. The food is amazing, mouthwatering, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had beef panang curry and chicken thai fried rice, both were amazing. I will go again whenever I visit this town. 100/100 This is a family owned local business. read more

I ordered the red curry and Thai fried rice. The red curry was super spicy, and I didn't ask for it that way... I love spicy. But I couldn't even taste the curry because the spicy was so overpowering. And then our Thai fried rice, my daughter liked it... but she also douses her rice with tons of soy sauce. So the fried rice, way too "saucy", it looked like a mess. Really was hoping to find some good tasting authentic Thai food out here, but so far this and one other place has disappointed. I'm also not from here and didn't know that I would have the experience of not finding any good authentic food. I'm scared to try anything else now! Mexican? Go to California. Thai? California. Sushi? Where's the ocean, man. Organic, farm to table goobity gock?? California! Vegan?? Not here!!! Help me!!!! So sad and hungry!! read more

Home for the holidays, my family is craving take out curry on a Monday night. We tried one Thai place but it was closed. Then we found Ginger Thai; thing is, now we can't even remember the name of the place that was closed. This quaint and unassuming restaurant blew away our expectations. Accommodating, friendly, reasonably priced, and DELICIOUS and authentic Thai food (we enjoyed chicken pad Thai and one each of a "dry" and "wet" curry). We will definitely come back!! read more

Thai is my favorite cuisine and this little hole in the wall has become my favorite place to get Thai! As we waited for our food, we watched a steady stream of locals come and go, picking up to go orders. Sure sign of a great restaurant! Don't be put off by the fact that it's take out only-best meal I've had in a long time. Will definitely go back. read more

This place always has very flavorful dishes and wonderful staff. We appreciate this little bit of spice in our small town!

Not bad but based on the reviews, far from what I expected. Tom Yum - Disappointing and consisted of almost entirely of onions. Pad tai- not bad but not great either. One of the big things I noticed is the chicken used is prepackaged and sparse. It's like it was sprinkled onto the dishes. read more

Wonderful food, but they never puck up the phone and they don't accept online orders either. The green curry is delicious,

My Husband and i love their yellow curry! We order take out about twice a month. Great food and great service every time.

When traveling, I always end up carrying some snacks with me thinking I'll avoid paying for meals along the way. I almost always fail at that though and love finding good local food in new places. Ginger Thai is a nice clean modern and small Thai food restaurant with a good amount of flavor. Typically the servers are hesitant to give me the food as spicy as I order it, but they came through. read more

First time i tried it i wasn't expecting much but i was very surprised and i got addicted instantly. im a regular customer now and i can guarantee that you will love it! the employees are very kind and i can confidently say this is some of the best food i've ever had. read more

Got the drunken noodles and yellow curry both were AMAZING and their fried rice is some of the best I've had I will def be coming here again! read more

I love this place!! I come here invariably for dinner when traveling for work in cedar falls area. The décor is really cute and very personalised. I think they changed the servers recently ( in the summer there was a mother daughter duo and now I'm seeing diff servers) anywho, they've been great. The portion sizes for appetizers are small so make sure to treat them as appetizers only! read more

Reasonably authentic tasting Thai food. The pad is ew and pad thai were both pretty good. Only suggestion would be to cut down on the amount of soy sauce. The Thai tea was also good and something different to try. Service was polite. Interior is a bit cramped, looks like a very tiny diner, with about 5 tables with seats for maybe a dozen people. They do offer take out though. Definitely go for the food, not the ambience. read more

Ginger Thai cuisine - pad si ew . Pretty good - Thai Near Me - Cedar Falls, Iowa

Lovely place, pleasant staff, good food. That said, there wasn't a single redhead working or eating there when I visited. While this came as a pleasant surprise, the name of the restaurant was misleading. read more

I went to Thailand, and this place was better than 90% of the places we ate at there. We don't live in town anymore, but we always stop if we are passing through. The place is pretty small, so seating may be limited. But it's well worth it. Great place for Thai! read more

Ordered by phone. Was told it would be an hour wait, for pad thai. I thought that was a long wait, but said ok. Gave them about 40 minutes, walked over. No crowd, several young female staff seated at cashier area, and my food sitting there. And had been ready for some time apparently, as the noodles had already started to congeal and form a brick in the container. A $10 so so warmish meal. No thanks. read more

The food is freaking delicious. The place is small, and it is not the kind of place with big stuffed leather booths and a giant fountain in the middle. This is a place clearly created by people who love sharing their cooking with others. You go there for the food and the friendly staff. And OMG it is worth it. You know, I sometimes hesitate to tell people about it, because I don't want it to get too crowded! The food is spicy with flavor, not gratuitous heat - and they will put the spice at whatever level you like. It comes bursting with color and deliciousness. I think because it is not on main street, people forget it is an option. Not me! I walk there from cup of joe, and that's a perfect day of grading papers! read more

Very good food and friendly service. I would give this place four stars for pick up only. It is small and I froze every time the door open. Ill be back in the summer. read more

We were surprised to find Thai food in Cedar Fall down town. Lovely little place, the food was good, the waitress was nice, they even have this "out door sitting area". It was so popular that people rolled in nonstop. The only thing you may want to be aware is that, if you have a bigger group, this place may not fit. read more

Ginger Thai cuisine - Hanging with BFF - Thai Near Me - Cedar Falls, Iowa

Travel for business so when I see some great reviews for a restaurant, I like to check it out. This is a little friendly no frills place in a very cool downtown setting.Parking is street parking. Was a little tough even on a Tue night Ordered Salmon with yellow curry (a special) which was very good. Their yellow is listed as a mild curry,be advised that their curries are pretty kickin'! Ordered coconut lime soup which was good, however had little to no coconut milk. Be advised that their Thai tea (bright orange color) is extremely sweet!!! I mean making southern sweet tea seem plain!! Super smiley friendly staff I would return read more

My favorite place in town. I have dined there about 5 times now and tried a different dish each time. I must say, I have a new favorite dish with each visit. Food is authentic, fresh, and well seasoned compared to most places in the Cedar Falls area. Warning: the curry is a bit oily, but most authentic Thai curry dishes are. There are other options on the menu with much less oil. 6 I lived in Chicago for over 7 years and had really great Thai dishes. Though this place does not compare to some of the best places there, it is still one of my favorite Thai restaurants I have visited. Add Garlic Fried Chicken Rice to Kang Karee (Yellow curry). It's my favorite combo so far. read more

I love this place. Eat there or get it to go. Staff is always friendly service is always fast. Drunk noodle is great the fresh bring rolls are a thing of beauty. The curries are my favorite. read more

Hours online are so wrong. NEVER OPEN when they say they will be. So frustrating. Also not very friendly on the phone or in person, lucky they have the only decent Thai food in town. read more

I popped in while in the area on business. It's got kind of a small coffee shop feel, so you can easily come in with your laptop and get some eats while working, if that's your thing. Unfortunately the drunken noodles were pretty far from authentic and were pretty boring really. I also wanted a salad to go with my entree, but I couldn't get one because apparently they can't serve them without the owner being onsite, presumably because the employees don't know how to make them? Needless to say, Thai food in rural Iowa is exactly what you'd expect... read more

Amazing Thai! Love that they have pictures of their different entrées available on the tables.

Some of the best authentic Thai food I have ever had! LOVE their pad Panang curry, I could probably eat it for every meal! Ask for spice on the side so then you can control how spicy you want it! This is a hidden gem of cedar falls but after you try it, it is something you will always want when in town! read more

I absolutely love the food here for the intense and exciting flavors. There are a lot if options for vegetarians and gluten sensitivity. I really like the fried tofu! read more

This place is a gem. Just off Main Street, small premises (although that doesn't matter right now) but their take out food is fantastic. Red curry and Chicken Fried Rice are delicious, the pad Thai is also fantastic. Definitely going back again. Authentic Thai food and reasonable pricing. Great portion sizes too! read more

We love coming here! It's small in size but big in taste :) so much flavor and spice, and everything is so delicious!

Delish, holds up to the standards of a big city Thai restaurant! Whether you enjoy noodle dishes or curry, they are spot on

Was surprised by how small this place was! But its in a great location and its clean and pleasant inside. I must complain they didn't ask level of spice and just defaulted to bland...I guess because of where it is? But even with the mild spice it was still very tasty. Prices were reasonable and it was a pleasant place to dine. read more

Yummmm! Fresh and such great prices! Authentic Thai cuisine! I highly recommend it! Very small place.. So if you want an intimate dinner it's probably not the place. Tables are very close. They do a lot of take out as well! All in all the food was very good! I have the fresh spring rolls and the curry with chicken! Yummm! read more

Such a cute little Thai place off of Main Street! Emphasis on the little part though, only a few tables there but the turnover was really fast. I had the red curry which had eggplant and red bell peppers in it and was nicely spicy. A little oily on top but curry isn't exactly healthy lol. The price was perfect too - only $8.95 for a bowl of curry! Was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and will definitely be back! read more

The decorations are cute and ever changing. The furniture is definitely cheaper end but the food... oh man, the food is so good. I have never had a bad meal here!!! A place I love to go to and certainly a favorite of mine in the area. read more

I loved everything about this restaurant! It is a cute hole in the wall a block off of main street and is very easy to find. The restaurant is small and intimate. It is good, because it isn't too loud, and wasn't too terribly busy. We were seated right away and handed a menu. I had the green curry and it was amazing, so flavorful and fresh. I do not like coconut milk at all in my Thai food, which is really weird, but they were able to accommodate to my request. The timing of the food was right on target and we were able to get in and out in 40 minutes! It's a great lunch spot or dinner spot! Great food, great service and adds something new to Cedar Falls! read more
