Worse Chinese food in the city. Don't go here. They are rude. I ordered online and didn't get a call/text/email so I called and they said it was ready. I show up and then the guy says it's been 2 hours ready and I said I didn't get any calls from them. I asked if they would be able to make it fresh and the lady said it was hot so I should just take it. East China is our usual Chinese delivery place. For being an area that lacks in lots of delivery options, Cedar Falls certainly has a decent amount of Chinese delivery places! We regularly order our East China through the GrubHub service. It makes it pretty easy, and we can re-order our usual foods within a few clicks. I've never attempted to order on the phone or eat in the restaurant. The food is always delivered piping hot, and we've never had any problems with delivery times. They're usually a bit early, actually. There was once where they were 5 minutes late, but I can accept 5 minutes late. Once they brought the wrong type of 2-liter soda, but other than that one mishap, we've had absolutely no problem with the accuracy of our orders. The company throws in as many fortune cookies as you have entrees as well. They're just standard, store-bought fortune cookies, but it's a cute gesture. Delivery staff has been efficient and not overly talkative. Food is consistantly made, and we've never had any problem with burned food or food that tastes different than the last time we had it. They're pretty good at providing the exact same dish every time you order it. And the portion sizes are pretty great too! You can easily get two meals out of almost every one of their entrees. That being said, it does taste about the same as most other Chinese delivery food. There's nothing particular authentic or amazing about the food that goes above-and-beyond the standard Chinese ordering. Not gonna lie, this place is really sketchy and not well cleaned for dine in, but the food was amazing and we got our orders within 7 min. I would highly recommend getting Thai to go or for delivery since they aren't well equipped for guests, but over all a great experience. read more

I'm from NY, and I guess there are some differences, but none really excuse how bad the food was. The brown sauce was cloyingly sweet and made the food inedible to me. I also asked for a pork eggroll, back up of shrimp, and explicitly noted: NO CHICKEN EGGROLLS PLEASE. I had never even heard of a chicken eggroll before moving to Iowa. So, on top of the "brown sauce" that was inedible, I received chicken eggrolls. The only positive I have to mention is that they seem to make noodles/eggroll wrappers from scratch-and that part was delicious and well made. In the end, I dug out the innards of this chicken eggroll abomination, and ate just the shell. read more

My husband and I have ordered numerous times from here and on a couple of occasions been yelled at by the owner over the phone. Last night we ordered and when the order came it was wrong, we called expecting it to be fixed but was not just yelled at but screamed at by the owner who said that's what we ordered, then she hung up. I could not have rice so we know this was NOT what we ordered. My husband called back and was met with the same screaming over the phone. I would expect a business to fix a wrong order, not scream and hang up on customers. If you dare order make them repeat the order, check it before you leave or take a chance.
