Cream cheese wonton, not a crab Rangoon. Zero crab of any kind.

Absolutely the worst service and food I've had. I do not know how they stay in business at all. First, when you come in not one of the two people behind the counter said hi we had to say hi, and the younger person with very curly hair--Just looked at us. One of us asked if the cashier knew what vegetables are in a certain dish. The cashier just looked at her and said no and that was it. Cashier did not offer to check and see or ask what kind of vegetable we wanted. Older white haired woman day behind the counter frozen emotionless. Never smiled never said hi. Such a weird feeling in that place. Creepy. Place was dirty. Tables dirty, floors dirty. Not one of them smiled at us or said thank you. It was quite honestly the weirdest interaction at any fast food place I've ever been to in my life. They both just sat there starting at their laptops like they were mesmerized. Stupidly, We order and sit down. The crab Rangoon's have zero fake crab meat in them at all. Only cream cheese. The meats in the dishes are double fried...meaning they fry them earlier in the day so then when you order they fry them again for your meal. They are super hard and crunchy and dehydrated. Avoid this place at all cost.

This has been a regular favorite for delivery for us for years. I order the chicken on a stick every time and it's great. We do avoid paying through their website but everything else is good, food, service, portions, etc.

What an interesting little place. Located on College Street down by the Octopus bar, Sidecar Coffee, and other places near UNI, this Chinese restaurant offers eat-in, take-out, and delivery options. They offer regular specials as well as lunch specials, and if you watch your mail, they also send coupons in the mail sometimes. Delivery orders can be called in or set up online. The exterior of the restaurant looks a bit run-down. It could use new repainting and other upkeep. However, don't let that put you off. The interior is much nicer. There are lots of tables and booths to sit at as well as televisions to watch. They have an interior restroom as well. You'll go in and you can sit down or order right at the counter and have your food brought to you. It's really up to you. We ordered a couple dishes, and we were served within ten minutes. For the two of us, with drinks, a meal that we could barely finish came to less than $15. My companion commented that his "spicy" food wasn't nearly as spicy as he was expecting, but he also really likes super spicy food, so that may not be the restaurant's fault. I particularly enjoyed my chicken Lo Mein. It was well-cooked and springy with no burned or overcooked noodles. Yum! The meals even came with yummy fortune cookies as well (the yummy kind, even. I really enjoyed them.) Staff was pretty efficient. We were able to communicate just fine to order our food. The guy seemed pretty focused on running the restaurant as quickly and efficiently as possible. He wasn't rude or unfriendly, but he wasn't particularly talkative or friendly either. I would definitely go back. The prices were good and the food was good. The interior was nice and welcoming, and it was an enjoyable meal. Besides, they deliver, and delivery always sounds good too!

    The outside

The food was very dry and the crab Rangoon was cold and he just reheated and gave me another batch of cold Rangoon no flavor at all after a few bites my stomach started turning don't eat here and the place is very dirty

Food was super tasty and hot. Lots of food for a good price and a discount for being a UNI employee! Great service too!

Always fast. This time a mix up in the delivery and they sent out a fresh order right away.

Worst Chinese food I ever had. The only good thing about this place is that they deliver. But the food was disgusting and burned.

Not any current reviews here. Hubby and I went tonight for dinner looking for a nice dinner I…read moredidn't have to cook. I'd had lunch here once before and it was ok enough. Appetizers: Crab rangoons were huge and tasty. The wonton was a little tough in spots and not sure how much crabmeat was in there, but the size made up for it. Pot stickers were really yummy. We enjoyed these immensely. I give these an A. Dinner: He ordered broccoli chicken, a safe choice. He thought it was awful and tasteless. I never saw anyone salt Chinese food before! Claimed the chicken was mushy. I tasted it and had to agree that the brown sauce was pretty flavorless. I had the Szechuan triple. It was tastier due to the spicy seasoning but I had to agree that the chicken and the beef, while tender, seemed a bit mushy like it was soaked too long or something. I'd give it a C because I was hungry. Atmosphere/Service: Very clean. We were first dinner guests tonight. Waitress literally looked us and without greeting just tossed a couple menus in the booth for us. Food did arrive quickly after we ordered. I was informed there were no chopsticks. She did refill our water but never asked us how things were. Service gets a C. I don't think I'll be able to get my husband to try Hong Kong again. We've had good, fresh Chinese food before and this really missed the mark. Very disappointed.

Great hidden gem! The food was awesome and the location felt very warm and welcoming.read more

Not sure why because it was in the mid 70s outside. Friend got the shrimp in lobster sauce (which I thought was brave). I got the orange chicken. We both ordered white rice but it came out with fried rice. We didn't send it back but I think the white rice would have been just as well. Fried rice needed a LOT of soy sauce and there were some bits of mystery meat in it. My orange chicken was OK. I didn't try the shrimp in lobster sauce but it should have been served in a bowl, not on a serving platter. The egg rolls were just weird and were pink inside. There was a bit of cabbage with whatever the pink stuff was. Service was good though. Order at counter and food is delivered to table. (We did have to shout over the fans.) We forgot to pick up silverware and the server grabbed that and some duck sauce for us. Fortune cookies delivered to table after we ate. A couple of large work group next to us raved about their meals so you might give it a go. The lo mein noodles that were delivered to them looked great. I will probably suggest another spot if we're back in Waterloo.
